For those who didn't follow the news, A plane had to be grounded after a tip-off was made from Canada about a Pakistani national carrying a bomb (later relised without charge) The same happen in France last week TWICE, causing an evacuation of the Eiffel tower and 2 days later, extended police measures and securety after another tip-off from north africa. Seeing as every threat is taken seriosly (and rightly so) this would and is causing alot of problems for travelers and airlines. |

If terrorists are beginning to use this new tactic, then it's very worrying. They could do it as many times as they want. |

On the ball again, it just takes one phone call or anonymous letter to bring about toal chaos. 'They' could do this 100 times aday in all fields of industry and commerce and never be ignored. It could close a nation down, all it needs is the phone call and ONE itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny charge left in an out of the way dustbin somewhere and every threat has to taken seriously. |

This tactic is very smart, Ill give it to them. Imagine every day it happens, One day the establishment will ignore the call and thats when the real thing will happen. |

Tactics should always be changed. Personally I think its something WE should think more about. |

Also consider the ensuing lawsuit by the victim for victimisation and false arrest. They may also be examining responses to the threats, to then counter the safety measures, i.e. When Eiffel is evacuated, where do the emergency services setup? Where do the public congregate? What do the security services do? This info then assists a secondary plot, to kill victims, emergency services and/or security forces. |

I drove past a bus stop in israel the other day and my wife told me that it had been the scene of one of the worst terrorist attacks. the initial bomb hadn't been too deadly but there were two more waiting and they detonated among the ambulance and rescue workers who turned up later. I do remember London being paralyzed by IRA with phone calls. Not a good thing if they've worked out they can do this. An even worse consequence will be the push back from the populace who already think the threat of terrorism from Islam is overblown so the govts can control us more. They're really going to see this tactic as validation and even more fervently believe the conspiracy crap. |

Brian of London has been actively occupying a very small slice of hideously over-occupied Tel Aviv since early 2009. Islam is a giant bungee cord tying it's adherents to the 7th century. They can pull themselves almost to the twenty first century but eventually the cord tightens and flings them back. | |

If they do it too often, the Airlines will start to refuse to carry them on Health and Safety grounds I think. Also, The Human Rights legislation MUST be rescinded so they cannot challenge the final descision of such airlines, because they hide behind this one time and time again. |
