Applys to the under 21s I guess but does anyone get any stick for going to demos/wearing EDL shirts ect? I came home from Bradford with a busted nose and a cut on my head from an over-agressive Police officer (no Fault of my own I may add) and since then I can't mention the EDL, wear my t-shirt or even go in the forum but I use my IPhone now. I have very PC parents who have voted labour for years and are very nieve when it comes to Islam Anyone else relate??

I've had no trouble with any of my family because of the DL's. I was even going to fly to England on my own and there were no problems. |

My Nan 87, Mother and Father all agree with it 100%.... Just not my younger brother who is brainwashed, Guardian reading lefty. He looked at the EDL online and went "Racist" not touching that.. He will come round though, every lefty comment in the book he has thrown at me, racist, Bigot, Islamaphobic etc all have been countered, but without the EDL I would never have learnt the tools. Do yourself a favour read this, download it and ask your Mum and dad what they think! http://www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org/upload/wysiwyg/article%20pdfs/Shariah%20-%20The%20Threat%20to%20America%20(Team%20B%20Report)%2009142010.pdf also watch these clips http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMzFFm2V4QE |

Couldn't fly over because no airline would allow someone under 16 to fly on their own. Couldn't get Stena Line because by the time I discovered I wouldn't be able to fly it was too late to book Stena Line. But when I'm 16 (16th birthday is two months away) I'll hopefully get a plane and attend an EDL demo (I hope). |

I don't think my Mum is too keen (i'm 44), I just tell her when I am going on a demo so that she can watch out for me on the news. I shall try and explain it properly when I see her at xmas. She doesn't have any direct exposure to muslims living in Cornwall. |

My dad hates the fact that I support the EDL (he's a sun reader and believes everything they say). When I told him I wanted wanted to go to the Leicester meeting he said no straight the way. He thinks I'm a racist, he says I should know better and that he thought he brought me up better. I was extremely shocked but i will continue to support the EDL and I will attend the Leicester demo. I probably wont be able to go to any divisional meeting as I have just turned 17 and cannot drive yet so transport will be an issue, but this will not stop me whatsover. |

my dad's 60. he's seen london change alot in the last 10 years he says its got really bad where he lives. I asked him if maybe it was his age that maybe it was always bad just bothers him now he's older. firstly he told me to watch it. that he's in his prime but he says no. he worked in central for years got on with Jews, West Indians, he's still friends with Sikh guys he used to work with but Islam is something that is destroying the fabric of our culture. I've never heard him say a bad word about anyone. pretty much my whole life and he's always got on well with everyone. but he has no common ground with Islam. my mum on the other hand. she's the type of person not to say anything if you haven't got anything nice to say. I can tell that the Islamification of England bothers her and understands that England is changing for the worse. she doesn't have to say that Muslims are the reason for it. my dad understands that millitant left wing liberals stiffle healthy debate and that something needs to be done about Islam. he understands that if we don't do it, noone else is going to. as for work I leave my politics at home and use descretion about who I tell about my level of support for the EDL. but I won't hear a bad word said. I will try to make them understand where the EDL are coming from and correct them if they are misinformed. then most people agree that the previous government failed us badly in regards to Islam. |

im 25 and me parents are against islamics but their not sure of edl, they have been dealt with by the police in the past and now ther nearly 50 they have calmed down.. and most of our family are in prison or been arrested for being in a drug cartel.. all my family have made me against islamists from a young age and if i walk out in the street and get attacked because im white, i go mental and hit them back, within 5 mins theres another 15 of em and i deal with them and thats that.. here in Hudds its getting worse. all my parents say is be careful, and i have had major operations and am still fit and i have a mentality that i dnt give a flying fkuc wat people think of me. most uk gangleaders just hand over their neighbourhoods coz they are afraid of 'the taliban' god give me strength. ENGLISH AND FULL OF PRIDE!! |

I'm 32 and get aggro off my mum... Not because she disagrees with what we stand for but because she does not want me to get nicked/beaten up by the police. If I did I would loose my job. I can understand that as she is my mum... Wants the best for me and all that. But in the last few months she has started to change her attitude. She was mugged along with her boyfriend by some street jihadists. When the police asked for a description they accused her of being racist. She described them as "Asian". lol Anyhow, now she supports the EDL but it is sad that something has to directly happen for she and her middle class friends to take note. |

At first my mum was worried but she hasn't really read much about it, she's just worried that being associated might make it hard for me to become employed etc. And she doesn't want me getting into fights. But she is very right wing and would probably get on like a house on fire with most supporters haha. But she won't stop me from going to more demos once I can get a job or learn to drive

As I posted in the EDY forum the other day... Just overhead my Dad talking to my Mam about it. He thinks it's an anti Muslim organisation, despite the fact that he regularly sees me talking to some Muslim mates in the street. He says he's really worried about the whole thing, saying that there's thousands of Muslims in the local area and he's worried there's going to be a brick coming through the window soon. I know he's just over reacting as I really don't think he's done any research on the EDL. Think I'm going to have to have a talk with him about it. |

When I told my parents that I support the EDL they were appalled as they had seen the EDL on the news and thought the EDL where just some far right trouble makers. Once I told them why I supported the EDL and the EDLs motives and showed videos on youtube etc they started to understand me more and they now agree with the EDL. My auntie and uncle hate my support of the EDL but they know fcuk all about us. |

I wouldn't give too much information about your age etc on here, someone somewhere is probably keeping a dosier on everyone. Short convo to one of my family last night, I was referred to as an extremist, which made me jump up and down and try put her straight. I get very offended when ignorant twats refer to me as an extremist because I care about my country and particularly my family. Her response was that the problem isn't mine, someone else should be sorting it out was her response. Whereas another member of my family seems to understand, and another says why worry about it all, just live your life blah blah, as she is laying, bloatedly, on the sofa! Some get it, some don't. Some understand some don't, tough! They will wake up when it is too late. NS |

My Dad is OK and has similar views to mine, i.e islam wants to dominate the world, its far more than a small percentage that are radical, new world order, etc, etc! My Mam is a devout Catholic and believes most of muslims are peaceful and believes the facts I have told her about shar'iah law, muslim paedophiles, the hatred etc is just people stirring up hate! How wrong she is and deep down she probably knows it. I think their main concern is the fear of me being arrested. When it came on the news about the quran burners being arrested I was livid and ready to go to Gateshead to protest if that was called. She told me that I should think about my daughter, who lives with me and that if I got arrested how it would affect her. To this I said I am thinking of my daughter, especially her future and if people didn't stand now its going to be bleak! PS: Im in my 40's >
