We'd know about those that were convicted or arrested. |

I always used to end up having to get an unlicensed taxi/car back from clubs in London at silly o'clock, as you would never be able to get a licensed Black London taxi driver working that late and licensed cabs were thin on the ground, until. One ride home I was speaking to the Iranian driver, who told me the following story. His brother was used as a martyr in Iran during the war against Iraq, his mission with the other chosen few, was for them to walk in one line across a field that had been mined. His brother was blown to pieces, I then replied "That was terrible, is that what made you come to the U.K?". His reply was "No, I was a soldier and mustard gas got dropped into his trench". "Bloody Nora, at least you are still alive and well" I said, "Well sometimes I just black out and have uncontrollable fits, as the gas mask I was wearing didn't work well. The reason I came here was your free health service"... and this was the last time I ever got into an unlicensed car. |

Hah that a good story. Almost joke worthy! |

The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.

Same here but in Liverpool this happened about 10 years ago, when I was very niave. We (hubby and I) were on a night out and in other parts of the North the pizza places will order you a taxi. So we ask them to order us a taxi and 2 blokes come from down stairs. One couldn't read or speak English but could drive the other spoke English and couldn't drive. They asked us how much when we got home, (in fact we got them to drop us off round the corner as we ahd realised they weren't licensed on the way home.) We told them less than half the price it normal was:-). |

They don't like it up 'em. Don't tell them your name Pike.
