Is this a wind up? PAK Supermarkets? 4 million Muslims? (we all know it 8 million+) Start An industrial food park for Halal food products manufactured in the UK in full Shariah compliance, which could mean up to 500 jobs, will open in Banham in Norfolk . The European Halal Food Park is first of its kind and will be seen as the gateway to the halal market here in the UK and all across Europe IGM and NPD Services have been working for over two years on the European Halal Food Park, the park is in its final stages of construction and ready to open its EU Licensed Factory for SME’s to come on board, the venture can expect to have a turnover of 50 million plus in the first year and has a number of committed partners and can be expected to be in full operation within the next six months. The site in Banham was strategically sort out due to its ideal location situated less than 90 minutes from central London and has access to two of the largest European Muslim communities in Europe . The French market which has population of over 8million, and the UK market of approx 4 million Muslims right on their door step. With the present climate of recession and unsuraties, this pilot project will allow the European Halal Food Park to open further halal food hubs in the other regions of the UK and the Norfolk plant will act as the central distribution hub this will also demonstrate to the left wing extremist organisations that the jobs created will benefit all section of the community not just the muslim community, the European Halal Food Park will be strategically placed for other halal food companies to come on board and will act as a hub Mr Ghulam Ghafoor Managing Director of Pak Supermarkets, Pak supermarkets Britain’s first main stream chain of halal supermarkets here in UK said: “we have been waiting for such a project, where we can purchase all our UK assured halal products manufactured in the UK, I for one am in favour of halal product which are with complete Shariah compliance to satisfy the Muslim needs ” The first stage of the project has already been completed and is already operational, boasting a fully approved Halal Abattoir & Cutting Plant. NPD Services are working together with EEDA (East Anglia Development Agency) to secure further funding for stage 2 of the project which will include, a central retail packing unit and a further processing unit focussed on manufacturing added value halal food products. The site already has a 300 pallet cold store and blast freezers which makes it ideal for Frozen halal food operations. There will also be an onsite training school for halal Butchers & Slaughter man, offering the training needed to fill the skills shortage in the halal meat industry. Naved Syed member of the EBLEX halal steering group. Said: “I supports any scheme that benefits the Muslim community and the halal meat industry here in the UK, by providing the Muslim community with assured English halal meat which I believe will benefit the Farming community here in the UK , and offering halal training for Muslim butchers here in the UK will definitely fill labour shortage of skilled halal butchers our meat industries needs badly”. just another thought, i don't know about creating jobs for the wider community, but doesn't their meat need to be prepared by fellow muslims? |

One thing I was thinking was if places all over England like Subway and KFC do halal meat only then non-Muslim butchers would lose out. |

I'll post a few comments in one reply rather than many posts. The Qur'an doesn't specifically say that halal food has to be prepared by Muslims, it can be prepared by Christians or Jews, but in practice, the view is that it is better to have Muslims preparing it and that keeps the segregation from the Kuffars. Obviously the slaughter of an animal must be done by a Muslim. Banham has been the site of the largest halal abattoir in the Britain for sometime. This is the following mission creep of Islamism, now they need a huge processing plant, next they will need something else, probably not enough Muslim slaughter-men to cope with demand, so they'll be allowed to import them instead of training people already located here. We used to have a member (meatman) who used to work locally there in the industry but he hasn't posted for a while now. As for concern about halal meat in food outlets, you're already unwittingly eating halal meat. As I have said before, there is no requirement for meat (that is halal) to be labelled halal. Therefore a retailer can buy all his meat halal, have it labelled halal for certain markets and not label it for other markets. In typical taqiyya fashion, supermarkets keep quiet about it, they know exactly what they're doing. http://islamineurope.blogspot.com/2010/03/belgium-half-of-lamb-meat-is-halal.html "we don't make it public, because some customers might not appreciate it," says Colruyt. Yes, too right, some customers might not appreciate it. Anyone here eat New Zealand lamb? Yes, do enjoy as it is virtually all halal, as their largest market is the Middle East. The follow post-link is the reply from the NZ Meat Marketing board (or whatever it is called) in a reply to an email from a member. The question was basically a link to a BBC news article that said nearly all NZ lamb is halal. http://s1.zetaboards.com/EDL_The_Forum/single/?p=916978&t=3058944 |

the methods which will be used in this Barbaric factory, have no place in a civilised society, the R.S.P.C.A and other animal welfare groups become strangely quite when halal butchery is subjected to scrutiny,.. i wonder why? |
