with the guardians "expose" of the edl this weekend, i noticed that the comments section was omitted, denying the opportunity for a rebuttal.

An editorial has now appeared, i suggest a rapid and concerted response by members of this forum take place to put them straight on a couple of facts.

I was about to post this up.

My mate is over at the moment and we are debating it.

There are some very negitive things going on and I suspect that they have been selected to put us in the worst possible light.

Ok so my mate has now left the building. Was a very interesting chat with him. To sum things up he agrees that militant Islam and the way Islam is being taught and spread in the UK and other countries is a problem.

What he did point out is that the EDL are going in to the most heavily Islamified places in the UK. This will cause confrontation’s and riots. This is the part he objected to and states it for why he does not support the EDL.

I think he fails to relies that by going to a town centre that is hardly there home estate.

What this article does show is that those who already dislike the EDL have more fuel for the fire. It does not really add anything new. Ok, there were some very obnoxious points of view.

All we can do is to continue to protest peacefully and take the moral high ground.

this is the worst edl coverage i have seen, it is so biased it is beyond words, the daily mail did a bad one at the weelend aswell, the media seem to be increasing their hostility to the edl, i noticed there was talk of the edl committing acts of terror! what planet are these journalists on, the edl should challenge this stuff in court. slander i think they call it. the edl are a threat to public order! what about the uaf, and the gangs of violent muslims we have in places like oldham and bradford

That would be Libel rather than slander as it is down in print.

The difference between slander and libel, is that libel is the written or otherwise published, public defamation of a person or entity such as an organization or company, while slander is the spoken false defamation of a person or entity.

you know, i've looked at the comments and generally (IMHO) they seem to realise that there is a problem. they may not agree with how we do things, but most are aware, critically analysing the article put on the website. it's not the first time I've seen this either.

They may wish to demonise us as it "fits" with the media rhetoric and labelling of the EDL as a far right organisation ( a label i personally disagree with) But the fact we have supporters of different ethnic backgrounds, gender and sexual preference means we cannot be easily be labelled.

we are making a difference, more and more people are waking up and realising what is happening and what could happen.

Have you read any of these comments?

What a pile of s**t!

Very few of these ignorant, arrogant twat's have done any research and very few of them validate what they are saying with any facts.

Wound me right up reading them and I had to stop. Didn't we get any comments on there or are they being removed?

Yeah I know mate but many of these people are vastly more educated than I ever will be. Yet I was able to look passed the wall of bulls**t put up by the press and see for myself what the EDL stood for and why.

Almost every day I research that which I am being told is fact and I am making what I believe to be sound judgements based on the information/evidence that I am presented with.

There are many (learned) people around the globe saying exactly the same things, some of who probably have never read each others work but the transcripts are almost identical when relaying opinions/facts about what is happening to this planet and its inhabitants at the hands of Militant Islam.

It's frustrating and saddening when you see seemingly intelligent folk regurgitating the same detritus that they are being spoon-fed, which some of them do with such passion. :'(

Probably because they were seeing a steady stream of people countering their article. The truth on its own doesn't usually sell newspapers.

If it wasn't for DNA I would buy a copy, wipe my arse on it and post it to them. ^_^

2 people on train on way reading the guardian.
pure stereotypes, just couldnt be bothered to waste me breath.

way home,4 people sat there guardian on table ,same as,
looked like theyd eaten WAY too many lentils.couldnt be bothered.
tho id did cross my mind wether theyd been UAF protestg, tho they were clean.
the guard come round and said me ticket was invalid for that train,so told her id been put on by transport police(you get a code wrote on your ticket).i saw em start looking at me after that, so got the paper and pointed out EVERYTHING that was wrong.
they looked fkn terrified...honestly.
theyre on a different planet.
i told em if i was a violent racist id be in the nf! they never said a word.
typical lefty tossers, theyre a danger to themselves tbh.
look so mad when theyre in a crowd, when theyre alone they dont shout loud.
remember the liberal who got raped and blamed the western white man ffs.
FCUK em. leave em to it.
theyre too far gone.
the guardians failing like fook anyway, theyre laying off reporters left right and centre,
the london evening standard gets more readers now.
remember these figures are readership! circulatinns about 2/3 less as 2/3/4 people per household counts as readership.
