I'm sitting downstaris watching the news, half canned but still fully compus-mentus. Turkey are calling the Israeli actions, "an act of war"..... What would happen if Turkey declared war on Israel? If it turned into some crazy third world war, what side would Great Britain be on? Israel? Turkey? Palestine? Would our government side with the Islamists or the Israeli's ? Hypothetical, but makes you wonder! |

Israel is at war with Hamas & Hezbollah; Palestinians voted in Hamas knowing full well their doctrine. Israel warned the ships, insisting they check & distribute the merchandise on their behalf but Israel was ignored. War is War, if you can't stand the heat stay away & if you ask me Israel did what was necessary all things considered........if you are a light weight, don't get into the ring with a heavy weight!! |

in my opnion this was a bad move by israel for one because lives were lost but more importantly for thehm is that turkey was one of their allies they were quite good friends even taking part in joint military training exercises now that 9 dead are all turkish nationals the friendship will be tested and mighth even come to an end, and turkey was their only ally in the middle east |

Israel ( יִשְׂרָאֵל) is a Nuclear power, they have around 100 to 200 warheads and the means to deliver them. But they will not say they have them to the UN or any one at the moment. Its said by some that they got the tech of not the war heads them selves from western states the UK being one back in the cold war days. Enemy of my enemy etc One dos not go to war with a nuclear power!, one commits suicide with one. So war is out But it gets interesting Turkey wants to be with in the EU and the EU big guns wants Turkey in the EU. now mad as it sounds some in Israel have said they to would like to be in the EU as well. (yes I know they are not in the land mass know as Europe, yet there are moves being made) The up shot of all this is a lot of angry words, 3 days news and then forgotten nothing to see here. |

And the E U beckons for Turkey . I believe our "Leaders" are either to weak to govern in war or they have been paid off to create this sh*t very strange how they seem officially oblivious to the facts . Thought i would never say this but maybe just maybe those "Crazy" New World Order believers were on the right track . its just getting to the point where i cant believe the Worlds political leaders outrage over a nations right to enforce its laws and those protesters were armed . If you fail to stop when asked by an armed force it is deemed hostile My question is this Why didn't the last boat behave as peacefully as the others? It just seems to me that it feels orchestrated towards some War |

"It is clear to anyone with eyes in their head that the battle taking place off the Gaza shore is in fact a clash between an Islamist coalition which Turkey attempts to head - and which includes Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah on one hand - and forces with a liberal Western orientation, represented by Israel, on the other hand. This fight isn't about Gaza. The battle is about the future of the Middle East: Will it be a future where the existing political order is maintained, or will radical Islamic forces rise and replace the current order, as already happened in Lebanon and in Turkey. The sail to Gaza is merely one event in this struggle of titans. If Israel wanted to stop the flotilla, it could have done it more elegantly - for example, by sabotaging the ships underwater. Another possibility was to block their path while declaring that only Gilad Shalit's release will allow the vessels to continue. This way, Israel would have shifted this hot potato to Hamas. Yet even such success would not have prompted a victory in respect to the big question: Who is the master of this region? It appears that Israel chose to tell the Islamisizing Turkey, which is ruled by a group that is ideologically identical to Hamas - no more. The forces of the Ottoman Empire, who aspire to again rule the Middle East as they did almost 500 years ago, will be stopped at Gaza's shores. The time has come to tell those who live near and far that this battle is not just about the Middle East; rather, it is a fight for the face of this world. At this time, Israel is located at a frontal outpost, where it fights the war of the enlightened, liberal, pluralist, open, and democratic world - in the huge struggle against the Islamic forces that threaten to take over the world and subjugate it to their green flag...." http://www.jihadwatch.org/2010/06/jihad-flotilla-battle-not-about-gaza-but-about-the-clash-between-the-forces-of-jihad-and-the-west.html Edited by Battle of Lepanto, Jun 1 2010, 06:26 PM.
