recieved this message on facebook from one of the admins of newcastle division EDL.

as i,m sure you can understand i,m not too happy about it.

"Can all those people who dont go to demos and basicaly do f*ck all, just leave!we need people to be with us ,not nosy c*nts."

a different message was sent to other people stating that they were gonna remove them from the north east division by friday if they hadn,t already deleted themselves.

not a very good way of keeping members on side.

i personaly cant attend demos, much as i would like to.i have been warned by my manager that if i am found bringing my employer into disrepute i would be suspended pending an enquiry and then most probably sacked.

but, this does not stop me from spreading the word.telling people what we are about, that we,re not some ultra right wing facist organisation.that we only oppose radical islam, sharia law and the building of mosques in this country.

sorry, but at the moment theres not a lot else i can do.

rob.

Everyone occasionally says something they later regret saying.

You don't know (neather do I) what pressures the admin are being subjected to ........ Maybe giving everryone a chance to calm down would be a good idea?

Stormcrow know how you feel mate had a problem myself trying to join
merseyside division on facebook.
My name was deleted after a month or so, so I reapplied got a message
saying I could be UAF or anyone ! Think admin had been reading my
facebook account, true not much about me there, but I only opened an
account to join the merseyside division.
Just love to find out what the criteria is to join,as am 100% Behind the EDL

aye I know what you mean chuck. I'm admin on the Durham Division page and I wouldn't send owt like that out. It's infuriating, support is shown in many different ways, attending demo's is merely one.

We get a lot of infiltrators and I think that some Divisions are a bit more cautious than others.

It helps having a friend or 2 in the EDL in your profile as well as having a bit of info. Not too much for obvious reasons.

I think sometimes you have to give people the benefit of the doubt because it doesn't usually take long to figure out if somebody is genuine or not.

Post on the Division board on this forum and see if you can get in that way. ;)

I was a bit surprised at this PM too. I was at the Toon demo and plan more, so................ do they expect all members to post up where they have been? Something anyone can do even a UAF scumbag infiltrator! :$

I can KINDA see what they are saying, we need feet on the street when it boils down to it etc. But I do think that everyone's circumstances are different, and to alienate the people who have not been able to make a protest so far might be a tad out of line.

I've had this discussion before and it basically came down to ANY support be it attending Demo's or even if it is just Moral support is more than welcome.

We shouldn't be alienating folks because they cannot attend a demo. Yes it would be nice to see them but making them feel guilty if they cannot make it is not the way forward imho.

as i,m sure you can understand i,m not too happy about it.

Whilst I agree that the tone and wording is all wrong, I can understand the sentiment behind it. Most of the divisional EDL FB groups were set up by active members (active as in attending demos) with the sole intention of building up members to attend demos and also to control membership. By controlling membership, I mean, to weed out UAF/Antifa and vet members and have a trusted network whereby messages can be sent out without being seen by others (like they can be here) and also to an accurate reliable number of people who will attend demos so that they can organise coaches etc. Their view is, if you just want to chat about the EDL, then use the main EDL FB pages or the forum.

This objective is defeated if they have members that they never see and have no real idea of who they are. Alternatively there are groups that are happy to just have members who post on the wall and join in the banter, unfortunately for you, your group seems to be the former category. You could always join the Durham group, they accept anyone, they even invited me.

We are who we are, tell your employer to kiss his mams cxxk.and see him in court.you will have a wedge of wonga and he will have to offer you your job back.

What is it with them ,have we been transported back to the 19th century and hold secret meetings in caves in darkness,do we have to hear the cock crow three times in denying our support and attendance at demos to these job barons.
We are free people the shackles dropped off my wrists years ago.what more does it take to move to the next level.

NO SURRENDER

...... or you could mention to fellow workers that your twin brother is a member of EDL?

Seriously though, if you feel you can't .... then you can't!
You can always help in other ways!

My grandad worked for the NHS back in the time when if he was found with his union card he would have been fired! ..... What goes round..
