Hindus are peaceful people, their religion is one of the nicest, kindest, loving religions in the world. Why should we care if a religion like that spreads through the UK? I'd be more than happy to see all 2000 of Britains mosques converted into Hindu temples (or better still strip clubs and abattoirs). Islamism is the problem, not Hindus and not any other race, creed or religion. ONLY ISLAM! Edited by General Pershing, May 31 2010, 05:38 PM.

If you have a problem with Hindu's, the EDL isn't for you. Our Hindu members will tell you that too. I won't refer to you as a "racist", as Hinduism isn't a 'race' - it's a 'religion'. However, I will stick up for our Hindu members when I see things like this... And as you can see - we all will. I do understand where you're coming from. If a Temple seemed to pop-up in my area, and I knew nothing about the numbers (birth-rates and population of the Hindu's), I might be quite alarmed too. But you have nothing to fear from the Hindu communities. http://s1.zetaboards.com/EDL_The_Forum/topic/3218452/1/?x=35 |

Yes I did call you a troll because you started by calling Hindus "wankers" you didn't give us any reason to justify this position & you didn't hang around to answer any follow up comments. This is classic troll behavior, make a sweeping inflammatory statement then leave the forum, trolls often have friends waiting for further inflammatory comments so that they can take screenshots of anything they can deem offensive to spread across the internet. Furthermore, you've done yourself no favours by making the comments "i'll see any of you guys" & "fair enough - do what you like, just remember this threadsite, my words in 20 years time, you'll probably start jumping on the bandwagon then" The 1st comment makes you sound at best childish & at worst the football hooligan that the press tries to label us all as. The 2nd comment definately makes you sound like prime material for stormfront. The EDL is VERY clear about welcoming all races & religions, this is one of the reasons I support the EDL, views such as yours do our organisation no favours at all! |

Hinduism is a peaceful religion and makes a positive stamp on our culture and the UK in general. It has every right to be here. |

to be honest if what you say turns out to be true (although unlikley). the edl , if it still exists can evolve to take on the threat of the bombing, raping, beheading hindu's. until that time we have enough to be going on with. imho. |

Do your research please... Hindu extremists attacked Christians celebrating Christmas in eastern India, ransacking and burning at least six village churches. One person was killed. Four hundred and fifty police were deployed to quell the violence in the remote district of Orissa state where the churches most nothing more than mud and thatch houses were attacked. The violence had eased by yesterday. There were conflicting reports of what sparked the unrest in Orissa, which has a history of violence against the state's tiny Christian minority. Some reports said Christians had attempted to attack a hardline Hindu leader of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad group, who led an anti-conversion movement. "The situation was aggravated by some Christians forcibly stopping the 80-year-old Hindu leader Laxmanananda Saraswati and attempting to attack him," said Giriraj Kishore of the VHP. "When they were prevented from attacking him by his followers, the Christians hit someone with an axe and one Hindu died," he said. But the Catholic Bishops Conference of India said the fighting began when Hindu extremists objected to a show marking Christmas Eve, believing it was designed to encourage Hindus at the bottom of the religion's caste hierarchy to convert to Christianity. An argument over the Christmas show got out of hand and some of the Hindus opened fire on the Christians, wounding three of them, said John Dayal, a spokesman for the Bishops Conference. The Hindus then went on a rampage on Christmas Day, chasing people out of six churches and setting the buildings ablaze, he said. Later, dozens of people from each community clashed, Mr Dayal said. One person was killed, he added, but could not say if the dead man was a Hindu or Christian. Another 25 people were wounded, the Press Trust of India news agency said |

Hundreds of Christians in the Indian state of Orissa have been forced to renounce their religion and become Hindus after lynch mobs issued them with a stark ultimatum: convert or die. The wave of forced conversions marks a dramatic escalation in a two-month orgy of sectarian violence which has left at least 59 people dead, 50,000 homeless and thousands of houses and churches burnt to the ground. As neighbour has turned on neighbour, thousands more Christians have sought sanctuary in refugee camps, unable to return to the wreckage of their homes unless they, too, agree to abandon their faith. Last week, in the worst-affected Kandhamal district, The Observer encountered compelling evidence of the scale of the violence employed in a conversion programme apparently sanctioned by members of one of the most powerful Hindu groups in India, the 6.8-million member Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) - the World Hindu Council. Standing in the ashes of her neighbour's house in the village of Sarangagada, Jaspina Naik, 32, spoke nervously, glancing towards a group of Hindu men watching her suspiciously. 'My neighbours said, "If you go on being Christians, we will burn your houses and your children in front of you, so make up your minds quickly",' she said. 'I was scared. Christians have no place in this area no |

Perhaps this construction is more pleasing to your eye? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/10/London_St.Georges_Wharf.jpg London's skyline has been wrecked by wankers for the last fifty years and most of them have been English. Some of them have even recieved knighthoods for services to "architecture". |

SAUNDERS I already know about issues like this; however, you have one important difference. India is secular and democratic and people of any faith can rise to power. However, you have many internal issues within India and religious persecution does take place. This religious persecution is not based on any legalized code and the government of India does not support this; however, divisions erupt from time to time. |

saunders, in that article you posted, if you swapped Christians for muslims and hindus for christians, would that somewhat colour your perspective? |

You didn't get flamed, dumbass. You got a response that was pro-Hindu. You were looking for agreement, not debate. And when the debate came, you're cowering out of explaining your stance. Then begin threatening members with violence, which is pathetic. I also find it offensive you say it's making the country look like a foreign jungle. I've yet planted a f**king maple tree! |

Hindus do not expect our law to bow to their religion & the last I heard they have great respect for their women, if it was a choice between Hindus & extremist Islam I would back the Hindus every time |

I think it should be a forum rule that all sarcasm should be in italic font, that way you can tell it's a change in tone. |

ukarmy has started this thread and doesn't seem to want to participate in it. I think enough people have said what the EDL think about this and am now locking the thread. |
