Why? We have to win in Dudley after Snowy and Leons sacrifice in addition to the prevention of Islamification against the wishes of the vast majority of locals.. Surely leadership can explain if they have cancelled, I dont get it. |

I think it was initially because the Dudley two weren't being freed. We were there at the beginning of April and we're scheduled to go back on the 17th of July, I think that's enough for Dudley. There's plenty of other places to go, like Bradford and there is a Walsall demo in June. |

So you think thats enuff for Dudley? You could be right. What do the other 12000 think tho? 'I' think its not enuff for Dudley and we need to show support for Leon n Snowy. However, I would be happy to invite feedback. There may be other plans I don't know of but we have a positive momentum there that should be capitalised on to further the aims of the EDL. NS |

My opinion only this guys. If I was organising the demos - I would have to agree with cancelling the 12th. Alot of people have loads of travelling to do, at cost - and in the current climate - funds are probably tight. Its on my doorstep, so wouldn`t have affected me - but some of the distances travelled by others, has to come into it. If there were no other demos planned, then I would agree it should be back on. We have a busy couple of months ahead, and we need a good turnout on each one. I doubt very much if the lads will appear in court without our support.

"If there were no other demos planned, then I would agree it should be back on." -------- agree with that MJ - if we have a gap then lets get it back on - wud hate to think the ppl of Dudley thought we abandonded them. Maybe , the planning application process of the mosque will dictate our response to a degree. NS Edited by nolongersilent, May 26 2010, 10:54 PM.

As a Dudley resident I think it is probably a good idea to pull the demo in June. I know a lot of folks who are broadly in agreement with the EDl but who are also peed off at the inconvenience and the cost the previous demos have caused. The sort of complaints I hear are 'how much is this lot going to add to my Council Tax ??' and 'why don't they go somewhere else, Harrogate is very nice’. By going back to Dudley in both June + July I think we would risk losing public support so I am in favour of going to Walsall instead. Any way, Walsall has a much better market.
