at my childs school twice i have had to go in, on something similar to this , one of the teachers had a muslim friend who once a year would come into their school and give an assembly on Islam , my son who was 7 at the time came home saying that he had to goto an assembly on islam and that he didnt wanna go . I went in the next morning and told the teacher what he had said , her response was that it was part of the curriculum and if i had a problem i would have to take it up with the headmaster , so off i trot to the heads office to tell him not to let my son into this assembly , give the bloke his credit he said he would nto and could not force any child to go against their parents wishes , so i walked off a happy man , some 2 years later my middle lad is in the same class , same thing happens , his friends parents are all on the warpath , "my child aint listening to that shyte " and the like , but when push came to shove again i was the only parent in the new headmistresses office , my point was that if they had an assembly about judaism and then one on buddism and one on c.o.e and one on catholism then i really wouldnt have a leg to stand on , to her credit she said they had no plans to do this and i could take my son out of school for the morning of the assembly , NOW THERE IS A LETTER SENT HOME ASKING FOR PERMISSION FOR THE CHILDREN TO ATTEND THIS ASSEMBLY , It hasnt stopped the assembly but at least parents have a choice nowadays .

FAIRPLAY TO YA CAPT FOR MAKING A STAND , A LITTLE LESS UNDERSTANDING A LITTLE MORE ACTION PLEASE ...........
Well done Loyal.

Problem is, they know full well that many parents will be at work, so won't be able to take their child out of the school for that period of time.

People/parents should fight for this to change. There should be an option for parents who don't want Islam forcefed to their children. The end result could be that the school could place children in another lesson rather than parents left with only one option of taking their out of school for that period.

Jeesh, this upside down world makes my blood boil. So much to thank Islam and their appeasers for....not

Legally you can opt your child out of religious studies under the Human Rights Act without detriment to your children. My daughter was opted out of religious studies and used her time to revise and study worthwhile courses, because of doing this she managed to get her A Levels. She is now in college doing very well and her marks are in the top tenth percentile of her peers and she will be going to university. If people wish to waste time on non-sense that is there business but I await the day that learning about any "god" helps to pay the bills. My other 2 children are also opted out and well aware that the only way to deal with Islam is that it needs to be eradicated like it did in Srebrenica. If you wish to free and liberate your people sometimes you need to think like a hero and the only solution is the final solution and the only way Islam will ever end is when they are all liquidated.
