the sentence doesn't actually reflect the crime

i was under the understanding that this type of crime was treated with a longer prison sentence, as they say crime doesn't pay in terms of punishment anymore and to me, i am a firm believer of prisons being a place of punishment not rehabilitation.

rehabilitation, i feel, should only be used for certain crimes, for example, shop lifting, drink driving etc .... in the case of first of offenses. And should you offend, on a 3 strike rule .... to go to jail for a long time ...

Serious crimes, ie fraud, rape, man slaughter and so forth ... prisons should be a place as a means to punish not to rehabilitate .....
