When two warring families planned a shootout in the carpark of a suburban Sydney KFC, passing truck driver Bob Knight paid the ultimate price, police allege. As the 66-year-old Canberra man drove along Milperra Road at Milperra about 10.40pm on June 25, 2009, he was hit in the head by a stray bullet and died. Almost 10 months after the shooting, police on Wednesday charged six people - four men and two youths - with Mr Knight's murder. "What we have discovered through the investigation is there were two family groups involved and friends of theirs," homicide squad Detective Inspector Pamela Young told reporters on Wednesday. "The allegation is that they met at the KFC carpark to fight each other, we allege to fire shots at each other, (and) a stray bullet has left the KFC carpark and travelled so far that it did hit Bob Knight as he was driving his truck." Two men arrested at Greenacre on Tuesday night - Mustafa Mariam, 32, and Tarek Elvadar, 25 - faced Burwood Local Court on Wednesday charged with Mr Knight's murder and a charge of affray. Neither applied for bail and it was formally refused. The others charged are expected to face Bankstown Local Court and Parramatta Children's Court later on Wednesday. Insp Young said three more people were expected to be charged with Mr Knight's murder but are yet to be arrested. |

There has been some Biker gang warfare between a Hells Angels gang and a Lebanese Biker gang around Kings Cross. |
