Just watching the news and they keep going on about how the Liberals are ahead in the polls. I have never been part of one of these polls nor do I know anyone that has. Who are these people that are saying there going to vote liberal?

I'd never been asked either but did get a phone call the other night asking who I was voting for and what my concerns were. They didn't say they were from any particular party so am assuming they were doing a poll, but I could be completely wrong.

They look for certain demographics. Mori can be seen in town sometimes. They also ask the official tv watchers - the ones that give the rough no of viewers

i always vote, ive spoiled the paper loadsa times when its just been the 'big 3'. i usually draw one of those knobs like you see drawn on lampposts and toilet walls in the box next to the labour candidate.

I'm tempted to spoil my Ballot Paper...

Thinking about wiping my arse on it then folding it up neatly and putting it in the box. B-)

Would love to see the face of the person that opens it . :D :D

Liberals ahead in the polls? Wtf? When that happen? If it's true that is a massive shift as they were lagging well behind in 3rd place last week.

Time to check the old 'swingometer' ;)

fair play for havin the bollox to stick out like a broken leg in a small peak town tho.
he's still alive (only 40 ish now) and still a bad transvestite as well!
me mums still 'shocked' 20 years on.

Hi Clee

A shame to hear the result affected him so badly. If he had reflected on it then perhaps me might have applied to be a counsellor to each years British Eurovision song contest entrant. I think getting 5 votes would please most of them.

Hello Billy

To answer your first question then no I have never been surveyed or know anyone that says they have. I guess we all know the recent rise is being attributed to the first live televised debate between the big 3 leaders last week. Whether or not these are faked to create more interest then I wouldn't know.

I'm not sure if you saw the Panorama Is Britain Full documentary last night however on it Phil Woolas said the data of the National Statistics Office should be ignored in terms of population growth projections. I guess in which case with the economic crisis we are in then why doesn't New Lie-bour scrap this organisation to save money.

If you didn't catch the documentary then you can here..

We're more than likely to be f**ked under a liberal democrat government, than an labour one. Lib Dem's are always so indecisive it's unbelievable. One day, they believe something. A few weeks later, they're saying that's wrong, and it should be done this way.

The idea of generating 3000 more police is baffling, where are they going to get the money for that? Cutting bueacratic jobs will not generate enough money to put 3000 more police on the beat.

The idea of free degrees to undergraduates, funded by international and post-graduate students is ridiculous. There's not going to be enough of both to fund the undergraduates who are more than likely to get into a university on the grounds of their UCAS points, than a foreign student or a post-graduate. The university's funds will be drained so quickly, and to keep up with the drain, job cuts will need to be done, or increase of fees for foreign students/post-graduates. When that fails, they'll bring back the fee's for under-graduates.

A UK border force? Where's the money coming from? There's no spare money what-so-ever to fund a border force, all we need to do is leave the EU, and we're protecting alot of our border already, when most of our immigrants are EU members. Once we've left the EU we can then consider a UK Border force, because there'll be enough money to fund it. Otherwise, where does it come from? - Public sector cuts, but where? It wouldn't be in the police force because they wanna generate 3000 more police officers.
It won't be from the NHS, they wanna fund more nurses by cutting beaucratic jobs.
Possibly from the fire-service? or how about the defence budget? Which keeps being slashed anyway. But they said they want our troops to be fully equipped, so I can only think of the fire-service which they could possibly cut.

Liberal Democrats will not help us, none of them will.

Conservatives will get us out of the recession, but possibly at the price of unemployment. Which in my opinion, is worth risking. Who wants more expensive living rather than unemployment? You can still earn enough from the dole for a short while whilst the economy recovers. Then when we're beginning to our economy grow (more than the measily 0.5% reported in the last quarter) then we can begin to call for these people to return to work. If they refuse to work, slash their benefits. If they refuse entirely still, cut them off until they begin searching by keeping a log on who's doing what at the job centre.

But the conservatives are still pro-EU. And all of our troubles will happen again in about 15 years. Because this keeps happening.

Being in the EU means we're prone to recession, after recession. After researching about British recessions before the forming of the EU, we've not been in one. We were rich, and yes we had an empire. But we were still trading, and making enough from our own isles to sustain ourselves.

The EU was meant to protect Greece from falling into a great depression, but they failed to prevent it. Now Greece is in a state of emergency, and unemployment is so high. They're scared of giving them a loan incase they don't pay it back.

Liberal democrats want to stay in the EU, so think to yourselves before you vote a main party.

Your taxes go to the EU, but what will the EU give you? When Greece has received so little support from the 'great' Union?
