I find the policies of the BNP a bit worrying for me, or may be the under current I feel with them. But if they are standing in my constituent I will vote with them. This area will either go Lab or Lib, but if there are enough 'other' votes whoever gets in will have to pay attention or risk much larger loses in another 4/5 years

They are saying that if people have contact with immigrants that integrate with the community they feel less of a threat.
Obviously that doesn't apply to communities with muslims.

Hi TF

Those that have read my posts will know that I have stated that I have a lot of experience with dealing with leftists. Believe me this is a classic argument of Leftists and is nothing new.

The basic claim is that the BNP only does well in large white majority areas bordering large mixed ethnicity areas. The conclusion is that whites that live side by side with large amounts of ethnic minorities won't vote BNP because they basically fall in love with their multi ethnic neighbours and that hence the politics of the BNP are simply ones of fear with no substance to reality.

I remember taking on a Leftist a number of times on this notion. When I debated with him I just took the position that what he was saying of the BNP was correct by area and he kept referring to Stoke on this front. However the issues I put to this man were these. First off would the BNP even look to field candidates in large mixed areas because firstly their potential voting base is limited and their candidates could be subject to violence. Secondly and more cuttingly was the point that in existing housing estates a large growth of ethnic minority residence can only mean whites moving out. Hence what is called 'white flight'.

As such you have to ask the question why are whites moving out and where are they moving to. I suggested that it might be that whites were moving out because they were seeing what was happening on the ground and that these whites became BNPers because of what they witnessed and that the whites that remained in the previous areas did so only because they had no other option. Hence the notion that I put to this leftist was that many of those whites who were displaced were voting BNP and that the larger white communities were looking across the border as it were and making the same decision. The response I got from this leftist was a claim that whites in Stoke have no idea of what is going on in adjacent areas and that they would have no contact with whites that still live in them. Not exactly a convincing response I'm sure you will agree.

Personally I am not a BNPer and from what I can make out their vote is only around 2% at best of those voting. Hence any rational person would have to wonder why any institution would pay so much attention to them particularly as we are in General Election fever and where the BNP are not likely to win a single seat in government let alone make a challenge to the big 3.

From a rational standpoint you would also have to ask the question that if the BNP only does well in vast majority white areas that sit next to highly mixed areas on ethnic grounds then flooding the said BNP areas with migrants will only shift the BNP to the next area. Hence what solution is this even if you ignore that this is effective gerrymandering.

The truth is that the Labour Party have screwed this nation up on a Biblical scale and that hurts me as I am a socialist. The decisions they made to encourage devolution didn't strengthen their position as they hoped and they have seen their strength in Scotland and Wales diminished with both nations not far away from leaving the British Union. England has always been more Tory (Republican in US terms of politics) and this is why the Left look to flood England with immigrants to their cause as well as reneging on the referendum on the Lisbon Treaty.

The acts of Labour are the last acts of tyrants desperately looking to cling to power and they are determined that if they go down that England goes down with them and that no Conservative Gov't should have any power to change anything for the good. Under Blair and Brown we have witnessed the worst Gov't ever and the only way we have of bringing back a labour party that cares for its own people is to murder them at the ballot box.

Regards

Excellent post mate.

I fear that the vote will be split though and we will end up with a hung parliament. :-/

I don't trust these figures of 2% (ish) for the BNP though, who would admit to intending to vote BNP

in these Macarthyism witch-hunt days if asked by a pollster? From comments I have read on the net

and the reactions of the 3 major parties towards them I think they are going to get a couple of seats.

I would be pleasantly surprised if they do although I am not a BNP supporter (not for the usual reasons but because their economic/socialist policies scare the bejeezus out of me).

I hope UKIP get a couple as well (even if it is just to get rid of Bercow - go on Nige!). I have given some support to my UKIP candidate in getting things off the ground because I was so dissappointed with the other 4 candidates, 3 muslims and a hippy.

Even if UKIP/BNP only get a couple of seats each it will force a fresh perspective to be listened to in Parliament now and again. Maybe when they post questions that most of the public want answers to yet get shouted down by the children in the House of Commons the public will start wondering why we have got such a bunch of pricks in power.
