Although this is definitely something needed, there is better ways to go about it. Doing the gesture at the end doesn't help the image at all, and doesn't really get our point across. We need to go into halal KFCs for a debate, not to intimidate. Although I loved how she quickly shut her mouth when halal was mentioned. |

Don't think its a good idea to go into a kfc like that ... its not their decision... its the higher ups. Going to a corporate meeting like you guys did last week was a GREAT idea but this was rather stupid I'm sorry but it is. They have no say in it, even the manager you talked to... don't shoot the messenger boy. |

I agree. That didn't make the EDL look clever. That would not make the EDL appeal to the masses. The gesture at the end was stupid. Still, well done for bothering to go to a KFC and actually ask the questions. KFC really need to help their managers out by giving them an official line to spin. I can understand why she wasn't keen to answer the questions. Not her policies and definitely not required at her pay grade. |

A speech of some sort needs sorting out as they need blasting with facts (for the purpose of the resulting video) when people confront KFC employees. brutal ritual slaughter, animal rights, demographics (especially in areas like Norwich) lack of signage informing people etc, just would make for better viewing I am not crticising any activists just think it needs to come across better, peaceful demonstrations backed up by fact..... Well in to all concerned |

I do think if anyone goes in, they should ask in the right way and not use bully boy tactics, saying they're coming back with more next week and the week after. It's not exactly the fault of the people working there, they have a job to do, maybe they don't agree with it but jobs are hard to come by, they can't just walk out. I think people can get the message across by asking the right questions and maybe even making sure all the customers know. Maybe take a vid on your phone of the halal process and ask if customers want to see it, but don't force it on them. Saying all that. Well done for going |

well said, Walk into the shop and ask for the manager and ask "why is their no sign for allah meat"? Simple. They went into the shop basically with their shotguns blazing and hoods on. Wait 1 month then go back, remain calm and then ask questions. |

Nice work fellas! The more pressure put on KFC the better. Maybe we should hand out leaflets outside KFC about Halal Meat , that way they'd be bound to lose customers. ![]() Great work anyway dudes. |

Spot on, that kid in the tracksuit top just reminded me of a really annoying chav. The stores don't choose whether they sell halal or not that comes from the head office, having a group of men going in intimidating GIRLS is not a very good image for the EDL atall. |

I think most of us on here agree that wasnt the best advert for the EDL. Especially the lad at the end giving the finger, just come across as a load of bullies. A lot easier to get a sign saying something like ' Halal slaughtered animal meat sold here' A few comfy deckchairs and a flask of coffee to keep you goin'.... that would have a much bigger effect! |

I'll agree with that. And I hope that they're reading this so that they can learn from their mistakes. However, they did have the balls to do it, and for that I commend them. I will certainly be pleased to see their next video. ![]() That would be funny.

Was this visit sanctioned by a local division or by any head of EDL? I know one of the guys asked 'have you head of EDL' or similar. EDL can't afford having people acting individually or in small groups and claiming they are doing so under the EDL umbrella, because any pretender might do it. Actions such as these should be official actions by EDL or sub-divisions there-of, or as concerned individuals with no mention of EDL. I still think the guys were restrained, but it seemed a bit spontaneous and intimidating. However, good on them for doing something. Maybe we can think about a strict plan of action that can be carried out during such a visit? As the lads in the video did, I think the first thing to do is to ask for the manager - nobody else can be responsible. Side question, are KFCs in the UK run by head-office or are they treated as franchises? |
