I read in our local paper that there is a meeting this Sunday 8pm at Aylesbury Methodist Church in Buckingham street. All four constituency candidates will be there.

The article mentions the EDL " Given the recent concern in our town and area over the forthcoming English Defence League demonstration, we feel it is important to encourage open debate that reflects the democratic lifestyle of the majority of our community".

Well with that in mind don't you think some local ELD should be at that meeting? I will be, and it would be fun to film it, because as sure as eggs are eggs all four will be slating the EDL as a bunch of racist.

Anyone have any questions they would like me to ask all or any of them?

With that in mind, I dont see why an EDL member would be rejected from entering the debate.

The general public will be there, this is an open to the general public. It seems to have been organised by the church and the four candidates have been invited, as opposed to the candidates organising it and using the church as a venue. As already stated, a SWP/KFC hit squad style appearance probably wouldn't be appropriate. "`Political Hustings!

Come and listen to your political candidates for the 2010 General Election as they answer questions put to them. This meeting is organised by Churches Together in Aylesbury.

Yes, please ask them what they're going to do about the British having no jobs as they're are too many immigrants over here working. And ask why people who preach hatred against us, openly, are just left to get on with it and yet we're not allowed to say anything as we would get done for racism. It's maybe good I'm not going as I'm sure I would have a 1001 questions to ask

Hi Ash

As I said last night Aylesbury is the town of my birth. I would have to wonder why this meeting has been called right next to New Street which is the biggest ethnic enclave of Muslims in Aylesbury.

One thing to note about Public meeting in Aylesbury on 26 April: Superintendent Clare Mackintosh, Thames Valley Police Protest Liason Officer, will be in attendance for the first 10-15 minutes.

Oh yes: and Oxford UAF and Bucks Unison will be back out in Market Square this Saturday (24 April) leafletting. Might be an idea if Aylesbury Division get out there then at the same time.
