Am pissed off - second time have had to type this Who thinks with our UK membership we can build on kfc pressue and blockade their drive thru's at specific halal trial sites (dont disrupt genuine faranchisees who actually may be on our side). We have to ,imo ,disrupt their profit margins to make an impact. Imagine your car breaking down/ outtright blockading at halal kfc drive thru's surrounded by mates from EDL. Give me ur opinions on legalities, logistics etc but i do think that small scale demo's in between our major demo's could help further our cause and keep all members motivated especially ones too far to travel but keen to make an impact. Every idea has drawbacks - give me your feedback please. |

Round up some local PETA members and have their support and logistics. It may be dangerous, but.....

Hi N Drawbacks? It depends on what the protest would be about. If it was about simply banning Halal meat on the grounds of animal welfare then a protest would leave itself open to being Islamophobic if there weren't similar protests against Kosher products. However if it was about adding non Halal products to Halal only KFC's i.e. giving freedom of choice to the consumer then that would be harder to argue against. Regards |

I agree with that. My argument would not be against serving halal per se but a wider argument citing the unfairness of not actually advertising that they were halal so ppl could make an informed choice. In tems of venue i was thinking the KFC on Edge Lane, Liverpool but the EDL is fairly minimal in Liverpool so I for one can travel around North West. |

Stir up the PETA folk and they'll do anything. They are loopy, but useful! |
