PMSL :D C'mon admin... open the cage door!
In fairness, I like the idea of the cage. No one is forced to do anything other than to introduce themselves and say hello (and I'm sure that this is clear in the sign up process). If they won't even come and say "Hi, it's me" then they should forfeit the right to come and post here. I'm all for chucking all the previous zero post count members like thestirrer back through the validating process, if he hasn't got the gonads to introduce himself, then au revoir.

I've just read the stirrer forum and it all seems a bit childish to me.

l dont see what Pam and Kingsy have to contribute here,

l've heard better arguments from 8yr olds who dont want to go to bed!!!!

Arthur and Peoples Voice you have the patience of saints to stay there and try to get your view over to them.

l admire your persistance but can't help feeling that you're flogging a dead horse.

Do l need to edit that incase pam takes offence and calls the police???

The point is mate, they always use the 'you're not local' card to stifle debate on the mosque. Well some of us are, but I wouldn't register on the stirrer forum as I despise Goldberg and his posse of wannabees, who think they talk for local people. Give them the chance to come on here and debate, without name calling (which they do to people who disagree on the stirrer forum) there would be only one winner of a reasoned debate on here and that is why they're so shy to speak when they don't have admin on their side or in Goldbergs case the chance to fade someone out when they say something on his tinpot middle of the night radio show...
They're not interested in democracy, as the decision to approve the mosque shows, all they want to do is push this warped multi-culturalism and religious fascism on us, they have no argument for it as the lack of contributions from Goldberg (bottle case) shows
Let them come. We, the local people of the West Midlands ,have been pushed far enough....
I'd love a debate with Goldberg on a non-partisan medium but this is the closest we have got....

Pam Dean has tried to sign up with the user name Walnut but won't be validated until she has the manners to post and say hello.
Reading their forum it appears that 'manners' and the reciprocation of basic courtesy are alien concepts to Pam Dean and Kingsy. Arthur, although adhering to his usual exemplary politeness is addressed as 'Mad Arfur' and People's Voice was treated to an expletive ridden abuse by Pam Dean, who then has the affrontery to say she expects "respect" from people who post on their forum!

I agree, all those members with zero posts should be scrapped, then I can knock this stupid 12 off after my name and just have my proper name here :D

OK Villa Loyal l see it now.

Now you've mentioned it l can see the point of debate on 'home ground' without a biased ref.

Thanks for taking the time to explain it to me l apreciate it.

Cheers mate.

And hey, l'm a local too. ;)

Thanks mate, didn't realise you were local and thanks for taking my opinion on board. As you know we, the people of the West Midlands have been pushed far enough, yet they still want more and more. The time has come now to stand our ground, my old man didn't fight for this country for this. It broke my heart to see him gutted when he realised all the lies he had been told over the years and what had become of the area which he loved. Its for him and others like him, and for future generations that this fight is being waged....
We ain't gooin away!

Hmm I've never seen any "live" football in my life. Apparently there are some football hooligans in the EDL - I guess you know better.

You know, I think Birmingham is the most important city in the Edgbaston area (:D) so I support all the west midlands teams very passively. Well I check the league positions on BBC Sport occasionally.

Seriously violence is bad.

When I am mayor violence will end.

Everyone will be too busy writing letters to me.

I like letters. Especially nice ones saying what a nice person I am.

Sadly I don't get any such letters. Just bank bills.

I see suspicious looking people on New Street. Tbh I'm probably just as drunk now. But I really take exception to people drinking on buses and trains. Let alone smoking.

Do you listen to radio 5

Have you asked him? Mind you, you just said you don't talk to them so probably not......
Yeah I listen to Radio 4 all the time, fascinating debate this morning on nature or nurture, don't suppose you caught it? Around 9AM.....

Never met Woodhall. In fact no idea who he is really. He just appeared one day. But apparently he's friends with Adrian, or so I assume from various postings.

Nope I was answering exam questions at 9am!! Hence a little off the beaten track now!

BTW reason I asked is when I was on the 126 every day I had to ram Radio 4 (on my walkman) up to max to block out other people's noise on the bus!!!

Well any sensible person knows it is a mixture of both nature and nurture.

You know, dizygotic twin studies and all that.

What's your thoughts on it??

And what's your favourite Radio 4 programme?

I'd say Start the Week or Americana or some of the comedy programmes hmmm.

I must say I find the obituaries fascinating on a Friday afternoon, I also like bookclub with Frostrup. I liked the around the world in 100 objects also, the current affairs selection is okay, but I find they often cut it too short to get some terrible play on (They cut short Lord Adonis today when what he was saying was fascinating re the current air debacle). I am not a fan of the drama they produce to be honest. I like the Today programme and In our Time with the Bragg bloke, but as a working class West Midlander, what do I know huh.....

Radio 4 rebroadcast 'Bad Faith' recently, that was very topical about Birmingham.

Worth a listen if you get chance.

Tbh I'm probably too young to have heard of most people who die. Yes around the world in 100 objects!! was apparently controversial. But I quite liked the few episodes i heard. He sounded... scandinavian? The narrator/ writer I mean!

yeah some of the drama is a pretty dull. Some is excellent. Depends really. But I think Radio 4 is one of the main reasons for BBC existing.
