I have asked people this for years, What character(s) from a film would you like to have a few beers with? For me it would have to be Staff Sergeant Barnes (only thing that can kill Barnes, is Barnes) from Platoon, also wouldn't mind seeing Darth Vader tanked up in a lapdancing club. Darth - 'Luke, I am your father' Me - ' Look, We've been through this before Darth I'm not called Luke and you're not my father, now get the fuckin' beers in, and stop telling the girls you wanna show them your lightsaber or we'll get thrown out. Darth - 'The dark side' Me - 'You're such a cunt when your pissed. |

Fookin hell. I met him a long time ago in Miami, and he was cool as they come. He knows my cousins over there, who do some coaching for the Dolphins. I'm shocked, never looked into the political side of his life.

it would have to be Aragorn from lord of the rings, to congratulate him on modelling himself on me Hold your ground! Hold your ground! Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers, I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight!! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!!! |

Anyone ever seen the film and true story Breaker Morant? Well its basically my families little claim to fame or infamy whatever way you choose to look at it. Its about my Gt Uncle a soldier whom joined the Australian army after his emigration there and rode with the Bushveld Carabiners during the Boer war, he was later court marshaled and received a long prison sentence unlike his superiors who were executed for shooting Boer prisoners. He later wrote a book called the Scapegoats of an Empire. George Ramsdale Witton came back to England to visit family in his later years but was wrongly shunned for in their words disgracing the family name, he is the one person i would have liked to have met and bought a few beers Edited by made in England, Apr 10 2010, 09:27 PM.
