A friend of mine who is a Leyton Orient fan recently had his flag banned from home games as people have complained about it. He attends EDL demos also.
Posted Image
Today he has been contacted by Leyton Orient saying that if he attends any more EDL demos with this flag he will be immedietly banned from home games. They are also threatening to pass on his details to pass on his details to league one safety officers to try and ban him from all future away games.
Ridiculous :biggun:

I think as a club/private company/organisation they are quite entitled to decide who is and isn't allowed. I've read a few threads in a legal forum recently of people complaining that they've been banned from gold/tennis clubs because they've fallen out with the committee but haven't actually broken any rules. The legal opinion that has come back is that it is a club that invites people to attend and they are quite within their right to decide if they no longer want you.

This is interesting and maybe not the case...ie. The BNP being taken to the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), which accused the BNP of having a constitution that discriminated against racial and religious groups....Food for thought? Maybe use what usually works against you to work for you?

I can see how it's offensive, you're not allowed the 'Proud to be English'. I think it will become law soon, arseholes, maybe every fan ought to get a flag like it, I'd like to see them ban them all

Best way to beat any stupid ban like this is for all your pals mates to each take a flag with EDL on.

what a load of old goose Crap... problem is they can ban him for looking at some one funny as its there club... comes to something when you can be proud to be English... picture the world cup with no flags (sorry you cant fly the English flag because I don’t like it) .... WHAT A JOKE

actually... there was a street up my end last year that was covered in England flags I mean hanging from roof to roof for saint Georges day. Two days later Sandwell council was there handing out orders to remove them (or face prosecution) as they were offending other locals... ARGH this country’s gone mad

yet community relations projects and suchlike are all about our own people taking them down as not to offend a minority, and they are still allowed to fly their terrorist flags and not not take any of theirs (the rebels) down!

Take the fight, directly to Mr Hearn. I'm sure he would realize that it's a mistake to discriminate against true patriots, who are trying to defend his freedoms, even if he's to obsessed with making money to understand it.

Or, a 100 EDL flags at the next Orient game - that will get publicity.

They can ban him or anyone they like, however the flag is non political, non commital ( not got EDL ect on it ) and there fore no different to hundreds at England games or flown country wide.
I would therefore urge protest that they are waging an anti English campaign.
Set up a facebook page, set up a petition, write to local rags.
Just before the world cup, they will s**t it if it hits the news.

What's wrong with being proud of being English?

What's wrong of being proud of the football team you support?

Dickheads.
