Why is Weyman Bennett still allowed to attend meetings and incite violence. I thought he was arrested and banned from attending events, one rule for one going on here, it must have something to do with the Labour party. A shame the EDL cannot hold a counter demo against their violent members.

Help stop the fascist BNP in Barking & Dagenham this Sunday 11 April

With just under a month to go until the general and local elections on Thursday 6 May, Barking & Dagenham UAF is ramping up its campaign against the Nazi BNP. Our next day of action will be on Sunday 11 April. Meet at 11am at Jazzie Jake, North Street, Barking IG11 8AW. The nearest station is Barking: map.

We will be canvassing and leafleting wards to spread the word about how to stop the BNP. Lunch will be from 1:30pm onwards and includes speeches and performances by local young people. The PCS civil service workers union is helping sponsor this day of action. Call 07969 630056, email bardagunite@gmail.com or go to barkinguaf.wordpress.com to find out more.

There will be an anti-BNP meeting in Barking on Sunday evening organised by the RMT rail workers union. It's at 6:30pm at Barking Broadway Theatre, with speakers including Weyman Bennett (UAF), Bob Crow (RMT), Barking-born singer-songwriter Billy Bragg and footballer John Terry.

• Later this month Barking Broadway Theatre will be hosting a Love Music Hate Racism gig. The event is on Saturday 17 April and features Jerry Dammers, The King Blues, Ghetts and other special guests. See the LMHR website for more details
