Wow! I hit the translate button and saw what they were doing. It all seems to be taking off now in a worldwide wave. Who will be the person to unite the Defence Leagues? Edited by Aden30, Apr 7 2010, 07:56 PM.

I know a few lads from Milan and spoke to them a fortnight ago when i was over for the Inter v Livorno game. They know all about the EDL and they have chosen to follow the trend of starting their own up after the Islamists have begun to flex their muscles with certain demands. The Muzzies have stepped things up in Italia and people, especially the Ultras, have taken note. They won't stand for much more islamic show boating like when they had a mass prayer session outside of il Duomo a while back either. This caused outrage and what our press don't tell us is it almost caused an outright riot on the streets of Milan. We've had our tipping points like what happened in Luton and that little gathering by the Cathedral sent Italian blood boiling and has helped hasten the creation of the Italian Defence League. People over there are getting pi**ed off with them trying to change their beautiful country and i would not like to be islamic shoes should it get nasty! Great to see this group emerge, welcome to the struggle for freedom! FORZA IDU! SIAMO SEMPRE CON VOI |

Is there any chance of all the other Defence Leagues having their own section on this forum? |

This can only be good. More and more people waking up to see what an oppressive regime this religion is. Hopefully links can be made between groups. This isn't an England thing - this is a World thing. |

yes the edl has inspired them to do something about religous fundamentalism, it appears to be northern italy where it is going to happen, and not the south, there was some mention of other countries in europe and russia, it should be interesting, if they have demos over there, i would travel there, |

I've not posted before, so "hello!" I spent most of the last 20 years in Italy. They're very lucky. They haven't suffered from the same political correctness as we have. They already have outspoken political parties and politicians who are prepared to call it like it is. The Northern Leagues in particular have long been trying to close the borders, repatriate illegals and raised concerns about the number of mosques. Some of their ideas are a little wild (public transport for Italians only in Milan) but they tend to exaggerate to get concessions. But try getting a crucifix removed from schools, hospitals and public buildings, as troublemaking stealth-jihadists have over there (through their left=wing stooges) and see how far you get. Even avowed atheists get angry in its defence. In the UK we have not had outlets for our frustrations. That is why the EDl has got such attention and support. There are millions of people of common sense in this country who have been gagging for someone to talk straight and say what we are all thinking. The politicians haven't done it, the education system brainwashes us into believing the PC mantras and before you know it the game will be over. Now there is hope. As for Italian football fans affiliating with the EDL, I'd act with caution. Italian hooligans have often been politically-minded and usually on the far right/neo-Nazi. As long as they follow the EDL line and are accepting of all peoples into their ranks it will be OK. But they have not had the same experience of immigration as we have. They are not used to considering a black person as Italian even if born there. there are plenty of sane, rational people who don't think that Balotelli should play for Italy because he's black (born in Sicily and raised by Italians). I suppose we had the same dilemma in the 70s, but if the Italians can learn to be little more 'inclusive' (I hate the word in its English context) from the EDL and not just into the image side of it (there were always many copy-cats when it comes to football support) or using it as an excuse for beating up immigrants, I wish them well. But I repeat: Italy doesn't need a Defence League like we do. |

Last time I was there was during local elections. One small but 'normal' political party had stalls in the streets and posters saying "No to Mosques". Can you imagine seeing that in this country? Passers-by weren't batting an eyelid. A spade is still spade in Italy. In the UK it became "a tool designed primarily for the purpose of digging or removing earth" a long time ago. |
