Caught a bit on local Radio WM this morning about the Dudley demo. The feeling seemed to be that things were generally peaceful and there were no real problems, which was not quite my take on Saturday’s events, but we appeared to come out of things quite well so I am not going to argue. The main concern being expressed this morning was that the EDL would be coming back every 4 weeks and the costs and disruption that that would involve to Dudley.

I felt when the returning every 4 week idea come out that it sounded odd. In 4 weeks time we are in Aylesbury and I cannot see there is that much enthusiasm from folks Oop North, down South or even in the Midlands to keep returning to Dudley, delightful though the by-pass is. Apologies if Radio WM and if I have missed it, but I think some sort of official communication needs to be made to the West Midlands media clarifying this point. If nothing is going to be said aren't we going to look a bit daft ??? Or is it a cunning plan to get the UAF to think we are going to Dudley but we all roll up unexpectedly in Aylesbury ???

It was mentioned in the beginning that we would go back every 4 weeks. July 17th is next for Dudley - we are fully booked until then ;)

Thanks for clarifying. It will be interesting to see the turn out next time if the demo arrangements remain the same. I get the impression a lot of folks posting on here were not that impressed with the venue. Still I’m all right Jack I can walk there !!
