i think we are wasting our time nelson , we are obviously " anti british " for pointing out obvious failings in "our" country
Try saying something positive about the british workforce then!
We make a nice cup of tea. ;)

On a serious note:

The British workforce has played a massive role in developing this country, Europe, and the world as a whole enabling all to climb out of the dark ages when poverty was the norm in all societies, multiple child deaths were expected in most families, appalling nutrition and a complete lack of education.

Britain has been a leading light in the world for years and year and a great deal of the credit for this can be given to the Great British worker.

The vast majority of the British workforce is diligent, extremely well educated/trained by global standards and able to adapt to constant change.

We have a lot to be proud of and the world has a lot to thank us for. Take Britain out of the equation and the world would still be in the bloody dark ages.

I repeat, the issue is not the British worker, it is the terms upon which they must now compete.

Last time I will say that I do not blame the British worker, British business, Immigrant worker. I blame the government that has let the British worker down.

Ex coalminer myself so I fully understand the term of slogging, same as yourself, wife works so just get basic jsa,I ain't shifting blame, but as that evan davies programme showed the potatoe packing unit employs some 70% europeans in deeside a pizza manufacturer has 85% europeans they even advertised for a supervisor and the ability to speak polish was desirable.
and as you seen on the programmes, " us brits cant either turn up on time , cant turn up or cant even work " so yep its a "great britain for english "
we let ourselves down all the time !
our system needs a good soddin shake up to
1 stop the abuse of benefits
2 stop the abuse by immigrants
3 bring back a harder stance at schools , which is urgently needed
4 sadly lacking in a very basic education

and if you cant agree on all 4 of those points then f**k you and all that this once great country stood for as i will just sit back from now on and watch it sink fast !
@cumbria agree fully with your 4 point plan
But please no swearing, not in the shopfloor anyway
See you out there tj

Nope. You have consistently blamed the government. I think we are both basically saying the same thing.

Sometimes people need things explaining a few times as when people feel passionately about something they look at a post but don't read the words properly. They just make an assumption that you are saying something they disagree with.

Done that myself a few times.

Right behind you PR.

Im in the fortunate position of having a job and really feel for those trying to find work at the moment when they have to compete with half the known world for few jobs.

This is a huge problem for the British worker.

Labour (well, parliament as a whole really) have truly betrayed the British working classes. They must be brought to book.
Lord nelson, all have been fully let downby the govt.
See you out there tj

Not taken that way ,the govts use migration to fuel division in the labour market, and they achieve the result they want and it takes our eye off the ball.
Do you know DFW from cumbria.
