Doesn’t take anyone of intelligence to tell you that the odds are stacked against this group when it comes to promoting the true and proper intentions of the English Defence League. One wrong move, bad chant or act of aggression will always be picked up and used by the media. Every time the EDL are reported on the news its always for something to do with racism or violence - and that is NOT what this party is about. If you sincerely intend to put this country right, deliver us from the hands of europe, slay the term 'politically correct' and once again bring law and order to this little island then do so via the way it was done before - by promoting your ideals without the undertone of racism, "white power" and general hatred towards anything or anyone who doesn’t see eye to eye with you. If you have racist ideals go join the BNP. I hope the leaders of this group publicly condemn those idiots who kicked off. I mean, fighting with fellow picketers? Are you stupid? Those hooligans have got to realise that when they stand on those pickets they represent a group of people. No different to when football players put on the English shirt. Nothing will be achieved through silly alcohol fuelled in-fighting. You have to reach out to the masses with purpose and reason. Today was a massive let down. |

I think people are worrying too much over what happened. There are plenty of positives to be taken from Stoke, sure it could have gone better but it's not the bad publicity mess that everybody seems to be worried it will be. I've barely seen it reported anywhere and the places it has been reported the reports have been vague and just mentioned "clashes between protestors and police" I actually don't think Stoke will effect the EDL in any way. Well done to those who attended by the way, well done to the speakers. I watched them on the lvie feed and you were fantastic and well done to the organisers for arranging it all. |

Just got back home from Stoke. Complete bleedin disgrace in my view because of the actions of a few EDL Hotheads. After the protest the Halesowen boys made our way to a pub in Hanley - The Coach @ Horses I think it was called - the folks in there were a reasonable bunch but their opinion, based on today's events, is that we are nothing but a bunch of hooligans out to fight with all and sundry. Cor really say that I can disagree with them based on the actions of some folks today . Well done lads, hope the folks who started fighting with the Police am all proud of themselves. When you come to Dudley I will be in the boozer . This is no reflection on all the good work done by Tommy, by all means get in touch Tommy if you want to and we can hopefully get summat sorted that does not require the assistance of moronic half-wits. This is me signing off, probably forever . Boing boing, naf off .......... |
