The British governement has reaffirmed today its attachment to the expression of religious belief in terms of clothe - like wearing the islamic veil - that France plans to ban in public places.

" The british government doesn't share France's opinion about secularism", precised this friday British authorities on its Downing street's website to answer a petition. This petition was asking Gordon Brown to make pressure on the president Nicolas Sarkosy to prevent the legal ban of the full veil (niquab, burqa) in public places in France. After 6 month of work, a french parliament commission will give a resolution project about it, this thursday.

"In the UK, we are very at ease with expression religious belief, whether it's turban, hijab, crux and kippa. This diversity is an important part of our national identity and one of our strength", said the governement in its answer to the electronic petition

It underlined that "France's cultural and historical expression led the country to have a different position about secularism and wearing religious symbols", making an explicit reference to the law of 1905 about the separation of the Religion and the State. Secularism "is considered as the second most importat value ofthe (french) Republic after the universal suffrage", it noticed.

aaah !!!!!
I'll get angry !! How France treats ITS Muslims is not British Muslim's busness !!

Now, the British Muslims want to rule OUR national politic... NO,NO,NO.
If we want to ban burqa in OUR country, and if we can do it because of our laws and constitution, we'll do it.

See, many Muslims think they belong to the transborder community called "the Oumma".
They don't care about state's laws, countrie's traditions and histories, cultures. The Muslims who signed this petition clearly mean that they're more Muslim than British ; otherwise, they wouldn't care about how foreigners are treated in a foreigner country.
I'm pissed off* (edit) at 10:33 am.

Here is the petition......

A comment on the article about EDL :

The english governement and its declaration doesn't always represents what the english people want. It starts to be fed up with this tolerance, especially when it goes only in one way... New demo this saturday by the EDL against radical islamists at Stroke on Trent, West Midlands... Mister Brown, you need to open eyes and ears but like all politicians in the world, you live very very far from your people and its requests.

That's why I can't stand when foreigners Muslims start to get involved in our problems. We don't need this.

our governement will give its answer this thursday about burqa. they have announced they'd ban in it public transports (bus, train) + schools + universities + hospital + hotel town + post office. a woman with a burqa won't have any services made by the State or any diplomas.

Yet, I fear this "half-banning" law would encourage Islam's radicalisation, and urge some women who only put hijab to put the full veil on. The governement think that it's a first step and then, they want to teach women about how great it is to be free and equal to the others, but I'm sure this "education" as they say, won't work. We're Kuffar for these women. We have no authority, no power, we're nothing... And as for liberal Muslims, they regard them as "hypocrits" and "corrupted" Muslims. They won't listen to them too... Besides, they're very watched by their community, and very respected. By becoming a Western person, they would lose this respect and be treated as a Western person.......

I would have prefered that the State said Salafism is a cult and, thus, bans it as we already bans Scientology for instance.
But they can't because Arabia Saoudia follows a Salafist Islam and we need their oil/money...

France is going through interesting times..... women are mulims' honour so for the kuffir to dictate
how they dress is fuel for the fire.

Oh, great. Here is what 30 associations of the Muslims in Seine-Seint Denis (Paris suburbs) say about a law on burqa : they call for civil disobedience.

"This letter is open to false Muslims who helps the Non-Muslims in their crusade against those who are more Muslim than them" (by Daniel Youssef Leclercq).

(this guy is a communist that doesn't recognize the Holocaust, member of the WIL ( world islamic league) in 1999, and is the instruments of Arabia Saoudia. Interviewed in 1992 by Jean-Paul Mari, a journalist in the nouvel Observateur magazine, Leclerc was at that time president of the national federation of Muslims of France (which is now part of the muslim council of France). He claimed "if tomorrow there was a majority of Muslims in this country, why wouldn't we introduce sharia law little by little ? It bothers you ? Nevermind!"

The author clearly says that if a law is made to ban burqa, it won't be regarded as legitimate because it comes in contradiction to the Charia (path of God)

"Last provocation, we want Muslims to accept Republican laws (laws of men) and refuse Laws of God, otherwise, they would punished. But thanks to the freedom of thinking, nothing force us to accept a law even though it is voted by a majority of fools"

(...)

In conclusion, the great muftis of the secular Republic will always bark, this won't let the islamic caravan to move on its path until its final destination".

(...)

The extremely harsh tonality is a turning point in relationships between Muslims and the French Republic. It has never been read before. We already said a such law would be perfectly impossible to apply in the "lost territories of the Republic". (...)

The imam of Drancy wants to ban burqa.
