Hi all I am very new to this have never ever protested regarding anything in my life. I am considering coming along to the Stoke March on the 23rd but have to admit I am Worried over a few things. Firstly I cannot walk very fast at the moment. I would not want to use a wheel chair but would use my stick/sticks would that even be allowed. Also I know nobody who is part of the EDL is there some way to get to know some people before the march like a local meet around the Midlands area. Sorry if these questions seem stupid. But I am sure I am not the only person to have some problems like this. Many thanks |

I'm sure it's fine mate, although old bill might get suspicious over your walking stick and think you might have it as a weapon, but they shouldn't and if they do question you over it, if it was me I'd just explain to them the situation and that you really need it for walking. I'm sure some of the others will start commenting on this soon, they should direct you to local divisions in the midlands, glad you joined barth, welcome to the EDL! |

First of all, welcome, great to have you on board. Regarding your 'situation' feel free to turn up, the Police will not question your walking stick, your genuinely in need of it so why would they question it? But, saying that if you are in a position where you need a walking stick feel free to stick around on the forum get to know people and then come to the demonstartion after Stoke or whenever you feel up to it. Health > EDL. Look after yourself and hopefully we'll be seeing you soon. Regards, CL. |

Regarding meeting some people before the demo, can I suggest you go to the divisions board here: http://s1.zetaboards.com/EDL_The_Forum/forum/1277616/ Not sure which part of the Midlands you're in, but contact the division leaders in the appropriate thread, they'll take care of you. |
