Be carful with the west brom/sandwell parade, if you're going to go then go as a individual and not as EDL. My band was invited (2008) and because it was a Loyalist band some people said we 'hijacked' the event for political purposes and so sandwell council said it would withdraw funding for the 2009 event.

It turned out the council was full of lefties who were just looking for an excuse to end it, remember it's 'racist' to celebrate st georges day.

RobBUAfb, I know what you're saying and I remember the bollocks the left made - I think they claimed it was secterian band or some crap like that, now had you'd been a republican band the left would have said sweet FA.

The local authorities have always sought ways to ban this event and despite their attempts of sabbotage it still gets bigger. If parties like the BNP who turn up in person to try and recruit from it, much to the anger of the local political elite, I would have thought the EDL armed with a few thousand leaflets would get a superb response. I'd definately have no problems with handing out EDL leaflets.

I'm up for that to mate, but I just don't want the leftie vermin who want to see it banned given any ammo to help their cause, even more so if the lefties hold the funding for the event.

But on the other hand why should people be bullied by anti-English/British left-wing councilers.

I think most of the problem came from a woman councillor called Davies who made claims it nothing more than an offensive rightwing gathering. I'll get her details as she has made a bit of a name for herself.

In a letter to the organisers, one councillor, Yvonne Davies, said the parade created an 'unhealthy atmosphere' and inspired young boys to be racist.

She wrote: 'It is not only the parade which is the problem, but the tribal excitement it creates.'

why is it that every other culture can celebrate and be tribal but we cant?

why is there a season called "indian winter" on channel 4

why not british winter?

where are the programmes aimed at the working class?

well good luck to all the parades on georges day .a day the english tribes can be english and celebrate there history,i for one think we are not aloud to celibrate.we are not aloud to put our flag out. so for that reason i think all the working peaple of england that can .sould not turn in for work ...not booked as a holliday ,so the goverment see that we shoud be able to celebrate our history any way we want like every other country

That's the one I was on about, a true enemy of England.

Everyone in our mutlicultural society is entitled to celebrtae their heritage apart from the English because that would be both tribal and nationalistic and would make us LITTLE ENGLANDERS or even worse RACISTS. I've never heard the term LITTLE FRENCH when they celebrate their heritage or LITTLE AMERICANS when they celebrate their heritage or how about LITTLE IRISH?, LITTLE PAKISTANNI? LITTLE SCOTLAND? LITTLE WALES?. It's only us who are denied and shamed in this way.

Make a weekend of it in Blackpool. Imagine a couple hundred of us going round blackpool on a night out.

When the Notting Hill carnival was in the news for all the wrong reasons i.e. stabbings, muggings and sexual assaults, the powers that be did everything they could to ensure it kept going. Extra police, extra funding and extra security and believe me the problems had been going on for a long time. When it comes to our day they try every trick in the book to ban it. Reason?. They are petrified of having too many English gathering in one place. In Matabeleland (formerly dagenham) they had thirty small events going on just to make sure they did not have all the English in one place. These people are scared of us and quite rightly so. One of these days St. Geoges Day will become their biggest headache.
