ISLAMIC extremist Omar Bakri Mohammed has warned of a new wave of militant Muslim fury.

The exiled mullah claimed that British National Party leader Nick Griffin’s condemnation of Islam during his recent Question Time appearance was further proof of the “clash of civilisations” between Islam and the West.

The preacher even claimed the far-right leader’s appearance on the BBC1 show could spark the return of outlawed radical group Al-Muhajiroun.

And he called on TV bosses to set up a televised debate between himself and Griffin.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star Sunday from his bolthole in the Lebanese city of Tripoli, Bakri, 50, said: “If Griffin and I were to have a televised debate it would be very good for people.

“The BNP want to preserve the culture and the heritage of the British people. Their views confirm the clash of civilisations taking place between Islam and the West.

“They have the right to say they don’t want Muslims in the UK.

“We have the right to say we don’t want the West interfering in Muslim lands.

“It works both ways. It could also open the door for Al-Muhajiroun to come back.” Bakri fled back to his native Lebanon in 2005.

He became a hate figure in Britain after setting up the extremist group Al-Muhajiroun (The Emigrants) during the 1990s.

The group, which disbanded after threats of a government ban four years ago, was also accused of having links to the July 7 attacks on London.

Now Bakri Mohammed believes the BNP’s increased public profile could pave the way for its re-formation.

He said: “It would be great if the rise of the BNP gives Al-Muhajiroun and other Islamic hardline groups the chance to re-form.

“I want to see groups like Al-Muhajiroun debating with the BNP on a public platform.

“They have the right to say they don’t want Asians, Arabs or Muslims living in the UK, just as we have the right to protest against man-made law.”

The firebrand leader said a TV link-up between Griffin in the UK and him in Lebanon would prove a “healthy debate”.
He added: “Our views clash. That is why we need this to come out in a public debate.”

Yeah the cut and paste article redirected for me too, but i can well imagine what the Islamic toe rag said im just bewildered how and why the likes of him get away with the threats he and scum like him make towards the British people. Could you imagine the outcry if for example Nick Griffin of the BNP made such a remark against the Muslim community, oh yes he was accused of preaching racial hatred by claiming that Islam was evil, then dragged through the law courts.
"Our ancestors took this land. They took it and made it and held it. We do not give up what our ancestors gave us. They came across the sea and they fought here, and they built here and they're buried here. This is our land, mixed with our blood, strengthened with our bone. Ours!"

Ive made a couple of observations about the article .

Hes not directly said anything about there being a war on our lands. Unless he says it in a round about way .

" he says griffin has a right to say no Arabs or whatever .So if hes saying he has a right to say it .It cant be conceived has racist
He says the west has no right in muslim affairs in muslim lands OK that's fair .But dose that mean we have no right to protect the west from extremist attacks that come from muslim countrys?

Also he says the west law is a man made law if the west have no right to muslim affairs that must mean the muslims have no right in our affairs .
Wonder how that would cut with him.

Quite right he does not make any declaration of war in the article, but if you google Omar Bakri declares war then there come up several articles from a few years back, including a good one from Times Online

This idiot wants a debate with Nick Griffin? What would be the point of that? Two extremists arguing about who is the biggest bigot.

Less of this please . Muppets are things wih several people making them say and do things that they are not capable of doing themselves.they have someone holding them up ,another the voice and another with a fist all the way up the torso....second thoughts ...deffo a muppet..sorry elmo....Millets have got a good offer on large tent pegs..about a foot long .biodegrable aswell ,so they won't make a mess of the desert landscape once not in use...if you get my drift...

Is it? When one considers that Israel, Southern Italy, Spain, France, Greece etc are all Muslim lands is it really fair?
