Just read this article on the BBC website. I have never been to Italy and don't know anybody from there, but this is the same as some of the stupid stuff we have to put up with. They are a Catholic country and they should therefore be allowed to hang a cross in every classroom if that is their custom (and law). http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8340411.stm Stupid Europe. And Stupid Czech Republic for ratifying the Lisbon treaty today! |

Religon has no place in a classroom. Any religion. If people wnat a religon they should do it in their own home. IMO. |

But surely it is Italian tradition. It doesn't mean you have to, or will, become a Catholic just because a cross is hung on the wall - if that were true I would now be one of the Beatles as I have a poster of the Abbey road album cover in my home. And to think somebody sued because of it! It is just a load of PC bollocks. |

True I know what your saying (BritainUnite) BUT, you weren't influenced by the Beatles, most people wouldn't be. But you do get the occasional weirdo's who do get influenced by it all and then take it a step to far, eg 9/11. Ban all religon. People can do what they want in their own home but that's where it should stay. If anyone can tell me they've met God,Allah, Jehova, Jesus, Buddha, Odin or whatever I'll change my mind but until then, scrap it all |

The vatican have issued a statement condemning the decision and from what the news is saying, it's strongly worded. I knew Italy had been suffering from the same pc crap as us, but this is beyond belief, it's a catholic country for crying out loud. The italians have said they didn't want to offend non-christians, hmmmm, where have I heard that before?. Jihad is at work all over europe now, god help us. This brings me back to a question we still have no answer to, if you demand your religious rights here, why is it still illegal for non-muslims to enter the city of mecca or even posess a bible in saudi wahabia? FCUK JIHAD |
