Okay, no one's talking anywhere, on the old forum or on the new one. Has someone abducted the Devils and the Storm? Even when no one else was around they were on the forum talking. Someone put out an APB, please.

Ha, that's f-unny. It was ashame that all that dirty laundry got played out in public like that. Hopef-ully we're past all that childish stuff and can concentrate on football. Should still be some interesting games though. I do have to admit, the forum is quite the same with out all that soap opera crap. Good luck this season.

Yeah, its not good to put that out for everyone's entertainment, but I'm sure there will be more once the season gets going. Its f-unny, someone said something aimed towards one of the Lions one night, quite inflammatory, if you know what I mean and someone posted, "Hold on, I've got to get my popcorn!" I found it really f-unny later! I think that the teams are going to be really competitive this year so it could be anyone's ballgame, which will cause much chatter. Good luck to you this season! What team are you with?

I'm with the Devils. We met after the game that you came to AC. I was the LT who got hurt in that Kights game. That's why I didn't make the trip the following week. Hopef-uly we can get that far again. I hate ending a season on an injury. I've only been on these forums for about 2 months now, I'm really not one to talk that much. Especially when people do it from afar, not face to face. I do enjoy the random football talks, but all that other stuff, I could do wihout.

I think I remember you. Were you the one out by the car? How is the injury? Are you ready for the season? I hope so. I love football but I hate the injury aspect of it. I like the random talk, too. The back and forth of it. But, no, I don't enjoy conflict either. I won't back down from it because I believe in standing up for what is right. But, most, if not all of the time it should be private. Anyway, just after the season was over there were some pretty intense, intelligent discussions on here or rather on the other forum. It was kind of f-unny cause guys who were talking trash and giving the appearance that they may not know the language were speaking in whole sentences and supporting their points and opinions about real issues and it was cool. I wanted to get into some of them but didn't have the time then. I think the thing we have to remember, but is so easy to forget in the heat of the battle, is that we are all human beings, and no matter how much we are emotionally involved in the competition, what will it really mean six months later? We won 11 games and lost 1. So, what? Even if we won the championship and earned the right to buy our own rings, so what? Every year is a new year and you start all over again. Is all of that more important than respecting our fellow human beings? Don't get me wrong, I want to win just as much as the next girl or guy. I hate losing. We just need to remember that the people we are speaking to are just like us, with families and lives apart from football. Football shouldn't be what defines us. But, it's still really hard cause its an emotional game.

I have always believed that one should do their talking ON the field by playing like a champion! Personally, I will never give any negative comments made about myself or the Lions' family any credence. I think it says more when we DON'T respond than when we do respond. Negative or disgusting comments made about anyone on the forum just shows that person's lack of character and the best thing we all can do, is to ignore them! :D

Yeah, that was me out by the cars. Ankles good, more then ready and able. I. Ouodnf agree more with the both of you as far as letting your play do the talking and remembering that this is just a game. This game is my first love in life, and most definatly not the last. I was very happy with the ecfa and how clean of a leauge it is. I grew up in Philly, and my dad was a ref. He did alot of semi pro games. They were some of the most brutal, cheap shot filled games I've ever seen. I'm very pleased that there are quality people here who really care.

Glad your ankle is good. I'm really pleased with the ECFA, too. They really seem to want to be professional about everything and address issues that haven't already been addressed as they arise. I think the Bylaws are so important and even more so the desire to abide by them. Everyone has access to them, I think the final draft of them will be on the website soon if not already. Same rules for everybody. It's important. We've been places where the rules changed with the blowing of the wind, to suit certain people. No organization will ever be a success for long like that. We have seen our local little league that had probably a thousand kids in it go down to like just a few teams. A bunch of people with a lot of selfish ambition got in control, used the good ole boy system to operate and then the decent people formed a Babe Ruth league and most went there. It doesn't take long for people to figure things out.

Where did you grow up in Philly? Our fellowship of churches has a ministry there in the Kensington neighborhood, Urban Hope, and we've been up there several times. Been to Pat's and Geno's, I like Pat's better. If your going to have a Philly Cheese Steak you might as well leave the grease in. Geno's squeezes it out. And of course, every time we go we have to take the kids to the Rocky steps. We really love the people we've met there. We've seen guys go from dealing drugs and stealing cars to getting their life together, going to college, some are even preachers. It's awesome what that ministry has done.

I grew up in the Northeast section. Bridge St. exit off 95. Definatly nice to be in a place where people care about how things are done and not just that they get done.
