Intro to Chloe Snow Fall 2000 It all began about 6 years ago in Chicago Illinois. I was at home alone, because it was 2 months after my sister Kylie went off to college in NYC. I never realized I was anything special, but I did know that all through high school Kylie had been dealing with her ability, not knowing what to do. One day I was making some dinner that involved chopping tomatoes. The knife cut my finger, but I only ever saw juice from the tomato. I never saw any blood gushing out my wound. It was very odd. I had no clue what to do. I had just started working at the local newspaper: The Sun Times. A man I worked with there said that he knew a scientist he had interviewed about a year ago. He would give me the info to get in touch with him. Chloe, “Thanks. What’s his name again?” Mr. Jenkins, “His name is Dr. Hill Jang.” Chloe, “Thanks again Mr. Jenkins. I’ll give him a call later today.” Mr. Jenkins was a senior reporter and he knew all sorts of people from his years of reporting and interviews. Chloe tried to concentrate on the rest of her days work, but couldn’t stop thinking why she never showed wounds when she got hurt. At home, Chloe pulled out the piece of paper to call the number. She pulled her phone out of her purse and dialed in the number. The phone rang for what seemed like hours until a man picked up, “Yes. Who is this?” Chloe, “You don’t know me, but my name is Chloe Snow, and a man I work with gave me your number. He said I could talk to you about something that’s been bothering me.” Dr Hill Jang, “What seems to be bothering you that you need to discuss it with a scientist?” Chloe, “I cut myself yesterday, and never saw a wound. No blood, no mess, just a little pain.” Dr Jang, “Well, you’ve called the right person. When can I meet with you?” Chloe, “Well, I work all this week, maybe next Monday at nine.” Dr Jang, “Alright miss. Just go to this address…. 5536 lake shore drive. I have an apartment there with a little testing lab its number 25 on level 15.” Chloe, “Alright, I’ll see you then Dr Jang.” Dr Jang, “It was very nice talking to you Chloe. Be sure to let me know some more when I meet with you. Bye.” Chloe, “I will. Bye.” I hung my phone and got some food before I went to bed. I noticed everyday at work until I was able to meet with him I had difficulty paying attention. I was so worried about my problems, that I took notes like the Dr said. Monday September 18th, 2000 9 am I step out of my car a few minutes to 9 and walk up to this huge building. I got up the elevator to level 15, and I walked to find number 25. A few minutes later I saw a door with the number 25 on it. I knocked and a man answered the door. He said, “Chloe?” I answered, “Yes.” Dr Jang, “Come inside.” I stepped in the door and closed it behind me. He asked if I had been followed and I said, “I’m fairly certain I wasn’t. Is there a reason I shouldn’t be?” Dr Jang, “If a man knew what I was doing, it might cause trouble for you and a whole lot more people.” TBC… till next time Author’s note: • Dr Hill Jang is my own separate Mohinder Suresh-esque character. • Any real locations are purely coincidence. • Most chapters will be in Chloe’s POV unless mentioned otherwise Chapter 1 last section recap March 1st, 2001 Later that night at the address I announced that I was there, and a man said, “Chloe Snow?” I said, “Yes. Are you the one who can tell me what happened?” Man, “It was a virus, a terrible virus. The most terrible virus there is. It takes the powers from special people, and then it goes to their brain to eventually kill them.” I asked, “How could possibly know this?” Man, “I was a good friend of your mothers. I know what she could do. If the men who gave her the virus found me, I’d be killed for sure. You can’t let anyone know I told you this.” I said, “What was her power?” Man, “She could fight anyone and never have a scratch on her body. She was a very strong woman, with strong skin.” I was speechless. I couldn’t say a word. So that’s why Kylie and I are like this. I finally found the words to say to this man, “Don’t worry, I won’t tell a soul I even met with you. Thank you for telling me the truth.” Man, “I have to go now. I can’t be found.” I got into my car and drove home, but at my door I found myself in trouble. =============================================================== Chloe Snow Chapter 2 I walked to my door, but a man was standing there almost as if he was waiting for me. I had no idea who the man was, but I could tell he was not someone I wanted to let into my apartment or run into in an alley. He was a man of about 6 feet, scraggly brown hair below his ears, a long black coat, a slight shadow of facial hair, and just all around looked like your typical bad guy. I asked who he was, but all he did was pull something out of his pocket and he lunged his arm towards my neck. I luckily was able to knock it to the ground and smash it with my boot. I then made one punch to knock him out while I called the police. An officer arrived at my building and asked what had happened for my statement. I gave a description of the events and then signed the papers. 2 months later I was at work, and received a threatening letter in an unmarked envelope. I sent it to someone the local PD that I knew to have it checked for prints or DNA so I could figure out who was sending me this letter. It had said, “Chloe, you better stop what you’re doing or you will die. Just like your mother. You don’t want that do you? If I find out you talked to one more person about your mother and the virus, I will find you.” I made a statement to the office I knew about this letter, and also said I couldn’t have it made public. For 3 years I went without knowing who sent me the letter. I was now 24, and getting higher up on my job. I had recently been made editor for the national news section. Now July 4th, 2004 I was about to go celebrate Independence Day with some friends and my phone rang. It was officer Cheng, “Chloe, I finally got a hit on the envelope. Can we meet?” Chloe, “Can you come to Navy Pier? I’m here waiting with friends for the fireworks.” Officer Cheng, “I’ll be there in 10 minutes.” I waited and waited for Cheng to show up and finally I got a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see him standing there. Chloe, “Ok. What is it? What did you find?” Officer Cheng, “The only thing I could find was your father. He sent you the letter.” Chloe, “What? How? I thought he was dead all these years. My mom told me he was dead since I was 5.” Officer Cheng, “I guess she was trying to protect you. The way we found out was that originally the print/ DNA led us to a man, but it was a fake name. We discovered it was really Michael Snow, you’re father.” I was stunned, I couldn’t believe my father was really alive and that he may been involved in killing my mother. I knew he certainly had a lot of knowledge about it. I wondered why my mother kept this secret from me and Kylie. Did my father kill my mother? I didn’t know, but I was going to find out. I also knew I had a lot of things to explain to those around me with my own ability. Chloe Snow Chapter 3 July 10th, 2004 I had just found out my father was responsible for sending me the threatening letter and that he was not dead like I was led to believe at the age of 5. I was now working on finding out if he actually was the one to administer the virus to my mother. While also doing my job as editor of the national news at the Chicago Sun Times newspaper. I figured this would be difficult, so I told my co-worker who worked as a photographer about my ability and the news of my family. His name was Jason Franklin. Jason, “Really? I always thought there was something special about you, but never knew what it was. You may be shocked, but I have something I’ve kept from everyone here as well.” Chloe, “What is that?” Jason, “Well, I can have machines do things for me.” Chloe, “You mean like technopathy?” Jason, “You’ve heard of it?” Chloe, “Yes, but only briefly. Wow, so you could get money from an ATM without a card, or anything?” Jason, “ If I wanted to, but I haven’t ever done that.” Chloe, “This is so odd that I end working with someone else that has a power. At least now I have someone I can talk to.” Jason, “If you need to about anything, just let me know. I know what it’s like carrying around a big secret.” Chloe, “Well, that isn’t all. My sister Kylie, who’s in NYC, has the power of super strength.” Jason, “Wow. A whole family of it. Now you need to figure out what the deal is with your dad.” Chloe, “Yes, and that will be difficult.” Jason, “Why?” Chloe, “I know nothing about him, my mom told me he died when I was 5. I don’t remember anything about him.” Jason, “How about if I help you?” Chloe, “I guess so. You don’t have to though.” Jason, “It’s no problem at all. It’ll give me a good reason to hang out with you more.” Chloe, “It almost sounds like you were hitting on me.” Jason, “Well I do like you.” It had been about 3 months since I had shared my secret with Jason and we were getting closer, but I was still afraid to get romantic with him. I knew that’s what he wanted, but I was not ready. I had to focus on what happened with my parents. Possibly after that mystery came to a close, I’d focus on a relationship. March 1st, 2005 I came to work and found a big vase of roses on my desk. No card, just a dozen red roses. I figured they must have been from Jason. Possibly as a present for turning 24 I asked, but he said they were not from him. Now I was really curious. If he hadn’t sent them, who did? I spent all day trying to figure it out. I came up empty. I was alone, but got a call from Jason to celebrate Christmas with him and his family. I accepted the offer and went to meet him at his place. I knocked on the door and a woman came to the door. She said, “You must be Chloe. Jason’s told me so much about you.” I walked inside and took off my coat. I announced I had no gift for anyone, but I was happy to not be alone. Jason, “You being here is gift enough.” Chloe, “Thanks.” Mr. Franklin, “Come, sit down.” I sat down on the large black leather couch and Jason sat next to me. First we all sat there watching “miracle on 34th street” and then they exchanged gifts. I sat there not expecting anything when all of a sudden I was handed a small box. It was a necklace with a curious shape. The shine of it and the 2 small diamonds were beautiful. Part of me wondered why he would give me such a gift, but then I decided not to question it. Later that day, I received a text message and it said, “I told you not to research your mother’s death again. This is not good for you.” I shared the message with Jason and he said, “I can track where he sent the message from.” I thought, “Maybe it’s good he’s helping me after all. I’m that much closer to figuring out what really happened.” While I was having Jason talk to my phone and have it tell us where the message came from, I used the house phone there to call Dr Jang. I knew he would need to know about the news I’d worked hard to research. Dr Jang, “So let me get this straight, you have a co worker with technopathy, and your father is sending you text messages and letters to threaten you into stopping your research on what virus killed your mother. The man who you thought was dead for years?” Chloe, “Yes. That’s about it.” Dr Jang, “I will meet up with you guys. In twenty minutes.” Jason and I had left his families house and we made it to the meeting place. This was the location Jason had found to be the exact place the message was sent from. Dr Jang arrived and we all searched the area only to find an abandoned cell phone. We talked about Jason’s power and my father. The one thing I never expected to find was around the corner; literally. We turned the corner of the block and found a torn piece of paper with a key attached to it. The paper said an address on it, but we didn’t know if this was good or bad. We drove to find the place and found a locked P.O. Box type thing. It had something very important in it. It was a vial of the virus that had been given to my mother. I didn’t know why it was there, or who led us there, but I had to find out. I was a reporter after all and curiosity was in my blood. Chloe Snow Chapter 4 Christmas Night 10:00 PM All of us were at the location to find what was in the locker/box. We had just found a vial; a vial of the virus that was administered to my mother years earlier. I had Dr Jang run a test back at his lab to see if it was the same strain or a different one. The only trouble was, we weren’t the only ones there. A man who I had seen before, but still unidentifiable to me was also waiting in the shadows. I told Jason to watch out. He did and also outside to his car, I touched the street lamp to turn on the lights that had blown out. This freaked out the mysterious man, for a while. At least long enough for Jason, me, and Dr Jang to get the hell out of there. Of course I had no idea when or where I’d see this man again. Little did I know I had a major connection to this man, of which I’d find out later on? Back at Dr Jang’s apartment We followed the Dr up the stairs to his place so he could test the vial. He took a small sample and placed it on a disc mixed with a sample of my blood to be checked under a microscope. He took one look at it and could see the cells were being attacked by the virus. It was also attacking the strands of DNA that was in my blood. Dr Jang, “This virus could definitely kill anyone. Please be sure to not touch it.” Luckily I had another sample that was taken earlier of her mother’s blood. He compared them and noticed that it was in fact the same strain. It was a mutated form of an old virus from 1976. This virus had been used by a company to stop their rogue employees. There was a party at a club for all the associates of the newspaper for New Years Eve. I went of course and I brought Jason with me. He was my friend and co worker, but I also thought of him as sort of a protector. Sure I had tough skin, but it was nice having someone who manipulated technology to work for him. At midnight, we were all waiting to see the ball drop on the television when we heard a dreadful sound. I turned to see what it was and off in the distance out the window I saw a big ball of fire. I could tell it was bad. I had no idea who did it, but I knew it had to be connected to my father. He would do anything to stop me from discovering his secret. Outside the club were tons of firefighters, but they were having trouble putting it out. All of a sudden a man appeared, but I had no idea who he was. A few moments later there was a little smoke and the fire was out. I had no clue how that happened. I tried to find the man, but he disappeared along with the fire. It was now my 25th birthday when I finally find out who the man was. He announced himself at my door as James King. Chloe, “How did you do that?” James, “I have the ability to blow out fires with icy breath.” Chloe, “Whoa. Seriously?” James, “Yes. My sister Joanna is in NYC and she has no idea I can do this.” Chloe, “My sister goes to NYU.” James, “Joanna does too. She’s a med student.” Chloe, “Well, back to my problem. I know my father had something to do with that fire, but I can’t prove it.” James, “I think I can help you there.” We set up a trap of sorts to catch my father, and Jason helped to take photos. Dr Jang told us to call him if we had trouble. A week passed after we planned the set up and we later saw proof the man I had seen around was my father. I now knew he was the one who killed my mother and that’s why he was threatening me. He didn’t want me knowing he murdered my mother. I was dead set on getting him put in prison for life. I couldn’t let him get off on the crime he’d committed. It would take two weeks before the police could find him, but he was able to escape. I don’t know how, but he was. I talked to Officer Cheng again and he said that it was possible my father had fled the state of Illinois or possibly the country. I was a little shook up because I thought of the fact that he could find Kylie and harm her. I couldn’t let that happen. I couldn’t lose another member of my family to my father. A month went by and there were no leads as to where my father had fled to, but a call came in from an FBI agent named Henricksen. He was a brilliant man who could find pretty much anyone and he could do it well. I said, “Yes. This is Chloe.” Agent, “This is Special Agent Henricksen and I believe we may have spotted a man fitting your father’s description in Milwaukee. He was last seen in the City Bank of Milwaukee.” Chloe, “He fled here, and a month later, he’s only in Milwaukee? I would have thought he would have gone somewhere farther away.” Agent Henricksen, “He may have been somewhere else, but right now he’s here in Milwaukee. He inside the bank and won’t let the people inside go.” Chloe, “Do you know if he has anything on him?” Agent H, “No guns, just a needle he’s threatening to use on someone if we don’t let him go.” Chloe, “That definitely sounds like what he would do. You can’t let him use it. It will kill anyone who gets it on them or in their blood.” Chapter 5 of Chloe Snow Still on the phone about my father Agent H, “How do you know so much about it?” Chloe, “Because my father killed my mother with it when I was a teenager, but I didn’t know it was him. I thought he was dead when I was a kid, but he wasn’t.” I could hear him making some kind of call over a walkie talkie but couldn’t quite catch what it was. I tried to listen, but I still couldn’t make it out. All of a sudden he said he had to hang up. I sat there waiting for a return call. I waited 24 minutes without hearing a thing. I was beginning to worry. Just as I was about to pick up my phone and dial his number that was on my caller ID, it rang. I picked up and said, “Hello? What happened?” Agent H, “We saw two people fitting your father’s description, but before we only saw one. I don’t know how that happened, but it’s true. There’s something very odd about your father. I will find out what it is.” Chloe, “I think I can tell you.” Agent H, “What are you talking about?” Chloe, “My family is special. You may not understand, but my sister is super strong, I’ve got impermeable skin, my mother had both, and I think my father can change his shape and trick people, a shape shifter.” Agent H, “A what?” Chloe, “Someone who has the ability to make a double of him/her self and make people think they are seeing someone they really aren’t. That explains why you saw two a few minutes ago. He can take on any appearance and have two copies.” Agent H, “You can’t be serious.” Chloe, “I’m serious as a heart attack.” Agent H, “How do you stop them?” Chloe, “That I’m not completely sure of.” Agent H, “Please find out so I can stop this from getting worse.” I sat the phone down to ask her friend Dr Jang about it. He says, “Silver. It can stop him completely from changing shape.” I picked up the phone again and told Agent H that. H, “So I just find some silver lying around?” Chloe, “Yes, but it has to be sharp. Like a knife or letter opener.” H, “That should be interesting.” In the van of the agents a man was in close proximity to a knife and all of a sudden he grew sick. So sick he was about drop dead. No one had any idea what was wrong with him, but he called for Henricksen. Phone still in hand he said, “What is it?” Agent Coolidge, “It’s the knife get it out of here, now.” Henricksen, “Why?” Coolidge, “It’s made of silver. I can’t be near silver. It makes me ill.” Henricksen, on the phone to me now, “I just found what I need. When I get the chance to sneak in there, I will. And stop your father from killing everyone in there.” Chloe, “I would prefer if you didn’t have to kill him. Just stop him from changing his shape.” Henricksen, “I can’t make any promises; I may have to kill him.” Chloe, “Whatever you have to do I guess.” He hung up and then I went about my day. (In Agent Henricksen’s P.O.V.) I waited for my chance to go into the bank and stop the man. He was an evil man, one I didn’t want to go up against, but I knew I had to. To avenge the death of his wife for his daughters. I couldn’t keep a man like this on the streets. He was going down dead or alive. Alive would just be a bonus. TBC….. I know it’s a bit shorter than the rest, but I really wanted to stop here for now. I’ll probably go to 7 chapters. But that might change. Chapter 6 Part 1 To kill or not to kill Mr. Snow Agent Henricksen’s P.O.V. I was outside the bank waiting for my opportunity to arrive. The man inside was the father of a girl I knew, but also was a very bad man. He was a killer. Years earlier he had killed this girl’s mother with a virus and then disappeared by using shape shifting powers. This man had to be stopped. But was it necessary to kill him? That was my dilemma to kill or not to kill Mr. Snow. A moment came where I saw there was little activity in the main lobby of the bank. I took that chance to sneak in. After searching the building, gun rose in one hand and the silver knife in the other, I finally heard a noise. It came from behind a vault. The door was open, but slightly. I carefully maneuvered myself to see inside and saw a woman on the ground, bleeding. There was no man, just the almost lifeless woman. I didn’t know if she had the virus or if it was something else. I had no idea, so I sent in a hazmat team to take her body from the vault carefully without getting infected. While they did that, I was searching the rest of the bank to try to locate Mr. Snow. I was having very little luck. After all he could easily change his appearance and I’d never know. A few moments later I heard another noise, this time I could tell it was a man’s voice. I followed the voice and it led me to a room. I looked in the room, and saw a man. But he had a different appearance than before. I knew it had to be him though. I lunged the knife into his heart and he squirmed and yelled in distress. Soon, he fell to the floor and I saw another man close by, drop dead. I knew it had to have worked since they looked identical. I soon made a call to Chloe to tell her the news. The phone rang and she picked up, “Hello?” I said, “I have an update on your father.” Chloe, “What is that?” I said, “I had no other choice, but to kill him.” Chloe, “Are you serious?” I said, “I know you said you would have preferred me not to, but it was the only way to stop him.” Chloe, “I guess if you had to.” I said, “I wish it could have been different.” Chloe, “I know he killed my mother, but it is sad to know you had to kill him to stop him from hurting another person.” Ch 6 part 2 Headed down the wrong path April 2006 Chloe’s P.O.V. again I just found out that my father had to be killed in order to stop him from hurting anyone else. I had celebrated my 25th birthday a month ago and was about to go meet up with Jason. He had some pictures for a new spread I was working on or should I say had trouble working on. I was so preoccupied with my father that I completely was sidetracked on my job. Jason told me a trick to get my mind off what had happened at the bank. I really hoped it would work. I wanted to keep my job. I didn’t want becoming editor to be for nothing. I worked all night in my apartment with Jason and fell asleep on my desk at about 4 am. Jason was still there and made sure my file was saved. It was very nice having him around, and after checking my laptop he carried me to a better place to sleep. I woke up a few hours later and noticed that he was still there. I thanked him for helping me, and then we both carpooled to the paper. I arrived at work with my laptop and transferred the file to my office computer. I then sent the file to the copier where it was then printed. Hours later she left the office, but not alone. She left with Jason, as she was the one who drove him there in the first place. This particular evening, she did not head straight home. She headed to a bar. After about 5 drinks a man began to hit on me. I didn’t like it so I told him to bug off. Jason was in the bathroom as this was occurring so he had no idea. What I didn’t know was that the man was working for a company the company. He was a younger gentleman, about 28, 5’11”, 157 lbs, and in a casual suit. He began using some language with me and just then Jason came back to the bar. Before he could do anything to stop the man, he was injected with a substance of some sort. I had no idea it was the virus. I tried to fight off the man, and it was too late. The poisonous substance had already begun working its way through Jason’s system. I was soon to discover he was an agent by the name of Mark Naples. By the time I knew he was working with the company, Jason had been injected with not only the virus, but also another substance Cyanide. It killed him almost instantaneously. So now I was drunk, dealing with the loss of my friend, and my father all in the same day. This was too much for me to deal with. I knew what I had to do now, but I couldn’t concentrate with the being drunk. I tried following the man anyway, but soon lost him. Ch 7 the walk down the dark path towards evil Chloe’s P.O.V. still April 2006 I had just seen my friend Jason murdered right in front of me. Unusual to see a man killed by injection in a bar, but it happened. I now had to find the man who did this and stop him. I didn’t care what the consequences were. I had to stop him. He had killed my friend, who I never got a chance to tell him how I felt. I loved Jason, but because of this man, I never got to tell him. Since I had no luck finding him, I went back to my apartment to gather my thoughts, gather up some weapons, and come up with a plan of how to execute his death. A week past and I got a lead on where this man was. I followed the clues and ended up in Toledo, Ohio. I kept searching the hotels and apartments there and came up with nothing. I asked around at gas stations and supermarkets, again to no avail. This went on for a week before I received word he was now in Columbus. I searched the whole city and came up with nothing. It had now been 3 months since I started searching for the man who killed Jason. I was now looking in Charleston, WV. I went to a building which had many floors and asked about a man someone had seen. A receptionist told me, “You just missed him. He left about an hour ago.” I asked, “Where did he go?” Lady, “I’m not really sure. Let me see if there are any notes here.” I asked, “Are there any?” Lady, “He’s headed for New York. He’s going to that office.” I said, “Thank you very much” and ran out of there quickly to my car. I drove as quickly as possible to New York City, but had to make a few stops on the way. You know for food and restroom breaks. I know it wasn’t that far away, but I hadn’t eaten in what seemed like forever. I continued my drive to NYC and soon came to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. I took that to get into the city. I followed some roads to an office building. I went inside, but was escorted out immediately. I explained I knew the man, (although I barely did in reality. I was a reporter, I could fake my way into anywhere) and that he wanted to see me. The receptionist called his office there and got a voicemail. She said, “I’m sorry ma’am, he’s unavailable right now.” I said, “I need to see him. It’s of grave importance.” She said, “You could always try this number.” I reached out my hand for a piece of paper with what I believed to be a cell number. I pulled out my cell phone to dial the number. I didn’t have luck reaching him on that either. I stayed in the city for about 6 months before I was actually able to catch up with Mark. I couldn’t believe for those 6 months he actually stayed in one place. It was beginning to grow cold in NYC. I had been there to see the ball drop which was quite the exciting experience. My main goal of being in the city was to catch Mark and destroy him. He had destroyed my life so it was only right to get him back. I finally got a chance to get close enough to him to execute my plan. I knew it would work, since it would be awful hard for him to actually hurt me. Unless of course he had some of the virus and then it was lights out for me. Of course I wasn’t going to let that happen, I had taken measures to ensure it wouldn’t. I arrived outside his condo and waited for him to come outside. It was like I was on a stake out. It took only 5 minutes before he stepped outside to take a walk. It was dark so it was easy to do my business. 5 months later in July of 2007, there was a news report preview. News lady, “A man was found last night in the Hudson river. Police are not sure at this time what killed him. More details tonight at 10.” I myself was now in the city of Philadelphia to stay away from the NYC police. I couldn’t be found. I had to be able to celebrate Christmas this year with my sister. I stayed hidden for the remainder of time until I knew Kylie would be starting break for Christmas. I of course wasn’t going to tell her I had killed a man who worked for the company. I knew my reasons why I did, and she didn’t have to know. I drove through Pennsylvania up to NY and headed towards her dorm at NYU. I drove as carefully and by now I had dyed my hair to dark reddish blond. It was now even shorter than it had been. The only thing still the same was my face, so Kylie would recognize me when I picked her up. About my job, I had told the paper I was working on a story, but had no idea how long it would take. In a way I kind of was, but really it was more a revenge thing. I had been trying to locate someone, but the story on him wasn’t going to be real. December 20th, 2007 I drove up to the campus dorm Kylie was staying in and I saw her talking to a young woman. She hugged her goodbye and came running to my car. Kylie, “Hey sis. What are you doing here?” I said, “I’m here to bring you home to Chicago for Christmas.” Kylie, “Anything new with you?” I said, “Does finding out you’re not the only one with a power new?” Kylie, “Yes. I’d say that is new.” I said, “So, how about you? Who was that girl you were talking to?” Kylie, “Joanna King, she has the same power as I do. She’s my room mate.” I said, “King? I knew a James King from something that happened while I was working a story. He had icy breath. He could blow out fires with his mouth.” Kylie, “Her brother.” I said, “Well, do you have everything?” Kylie, “Yes.” I said, “Let’s go home then.” The End |
