::Evolution;; is an occurrence that happens with many Pokémon. Some evolve via level, some evolve by stones, and some even evolve when they are happy to be with their trainer. There's also some strange, some totally random. Some don't evolve it all. It depends on what the Pokémon is. The following methods exist as of current: ::Level;; A large quantity of Pokémon evolve simply by reaching a designated level. There's way too many to list here, but this is probably the most simple method of evolution. If it's just leveling up by itself, simply get it to that level, and watch it evolve! Pokémon that evolve by this method: ::Elemental Stone;; Another large quantity, though much less than the level-up evolution, also evolve from one of nine elemental stones; Fire, Leaf, Water, Thunder, Sun, Moon, Light, Dark, and Awakening. This method is also simple; you just touch your Pokémon with the required stone. The hard bit is actually getting the stones. Pokémon that evolve by this method: Fire Stone Growlithe --> [Fire Stone] --> Arcanine Vulpix --> [Fire Stone] --> Ninetales Eevee --> [Fire Stone] --> Flareon Water Stone Staryu --> [Water Stone] --> Starmie Shellder --> [Water Stone] --> Cloyster Eevee --> [Water Stone] --> Vaporeon Poliwhirl --> [Water Stone] --> Poliwrath Lombre --> [Water Stone] --> Ludicolo Thunder Stone Pikachu --> [Thunder Stone] --> Raichu Eevee --> [Thunder Stone] --> Jolteon Leaf Stone Gloom --> [Leaf Stone] --> Vileplume Weepinbell --> [Leaf Stone] --> Victreebel Exeggcute --> [Leaf Stone] --> Exeggutor Nuzleaf --> [Leaf Stone] --> Shiftry Sun Stone Sunkern --> [Sun Stone] --> Sunflora Gloom --> [Sun Stone] --> Bellossom Moon Stone Nidorina --> [Moon Stone] --> Nidoqueen Nidorino --> [Moon Stone] --> Nidoking Clefairy --> [Moon Stone] --> Clefable Jigglypuff --> [Moon Stone] --> Wigglytuff Skitty --> [Moon Stone] --> Delcatty Light Stone Roselia --> [Light Stone] --> Rozerade Togetic --> [Light Stone] --> Togekiss Dusk Stone Misdreavus --> [Dusk Stone] --> Mismagicus Murkrow --> [Dusk Stone] --> Honchkrow Dawn Stone Kirlia --> [Dawn Stone, Male] --> Gallade Snorunt --> [Dawn Stone, Female] --> Froslass (See Precise Gender Evolution) ::Happiness;; A much rarer evolution method, about ten Pokémon evolve by this method, and most of them are babies. Put simply, when a Pokémon likes its trainer a lot, it will evolve into its next form. All Pokémon have a happiness starting at two. ( || ) If you get that to four, ( |||| ) then your Pokémon will evolve upon the next level-up. Pokémon who evolve by this method: Friendly Evolution Cleffa --> [Happy] --> Clefairy Igglybuff --> [Happy] --> Jigglypuff Pichu --> [Happy] --> Pikachu Golbat --> [Happy] --> Crobat Chansey --> [Happy] --> Blissey Togepi --> [Happy] --> Togetic Azurill --> [Happy] --> Marill Eevee --> [Happy, Night] --> Umbreon Eevee --> [Happy, Day] --> Espeon ::Trade Evolution;; A method belonging to four Pokémon, trade evolution is where you must trade your Pokémon to another RPGer to get it to evolve. Just remember, you will need it back if you plan on using it! Pokémon that evolve by this method: Trade Evolution Haunter --> [Trade] --> Gengar Kadabra --> [Trade] --> Alakazam Graveler --> [Trade] --> Golem Machoke --> [Trade] --> Machamp ::Trade w/ Item Evolution;; A method that works somewhat the same way as the previous, but belong sto more Pokémon. Again, you must trade your Pokémon, but you need the required item equipped or it won't evolve. WARNING! The equipped item will vanish once the Pokémon has evolved. Pokémon that evolve by this method: Metal Coat & Trade Scyther --> [Trade w/Metal Coat] --> Scizor Onix --> [Trade w/Metal Coat] --> Steelix Dragon Scale & Trade Seadra --> [Trade w/Dragon Scale] --> Kingdra Deapsea Items & Trade Clamperl --> [Trade w/Deepseatooth] --> Huntail Clamperl --> [Trade w/Deepseascale] --> Gorebyss Kings Rock & Trade Poliwhirl --> [Trade w/King's Rock] --> Politoed Slowpoke --> [Trade w/King's Rock] --> Slowking Upgrade & Trade Porygon --> [Trade w/Upgrade] --> Porygon2 4th Generation Evolution Trading Rhydon --> [Trade w/Protector] --> Rhyperior Electabuzz --> [Trade w/Electrizer] --> Electivire Magmar --> [Trade w/Magmabooster] --> Magmortar Porygon2 --> [Trade w/Dubious Disc] --> Porygon-Z Dusclops --> [Trade w/Reaper Cloth] --> Dusknoir ::Unique Attack Evolution;; A unique method of evolution and one that only exists in Driksill to replace something else. Tyrogue is a Pokémon that can evolve into Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan or Hitmontop, but certain requirements dictate which form it evolves into. If a Tyrogue has more than / attacks, then it evolves into Hitmonlee. If a Tyrogue has more / than attacks, then it evolves into Hitmonchan. If a Tyrogue has an equal amount of / and attacks, then it evolves into Hitmontop. Tyrouge Evolution Tyrogue --> [Level 20 w/more Physical] --> Hitmonlee Tyrogue --> [Level 20 w/more Other/Special] --> Hitmonchan Tyrogue --> [Level 20 w/equal Physical/Other/Special] --> Hitmontop ::Max Beauty Evolution;; Another unique method, and again made to replace something else. Feebas evolves into Milotic in the games when it has enough beauty, you can create Pokéblocks and feed it to Feebas. Once you max out its beauty, then level it up. Your Feebas will evolve and now you have Milotic! Pokémon that evolve by this method: Feebas --> [Level Up + Max Beauty] --> Milotic ::Precise-Gender Evolution;; New to Diamond & Pearl are evolution methods that only work if a Pokémon is the proper gender. If it's the right gender, you're in luck. If not, it'll either evolve into something else... or never evolve. Pokémon who evolve by this method: Wurmple --> [Lv.07 Female] --> Silcoon Wurmple --> [Lv.07 Male] --> Cascoon Burmy --> [Lv.20 Male] --> Mothim Burmy --> [Lv.20 Female] --> Wormadam Kirlia --> [Dawn Stone, Male] --> Gallade Snorunt --> [Dawn Stone, Female] --> Froslass Combee --> [Lv.21, Female] --> Vespiquen ::Technique Evolution;; Pokémon who evolve by this method will evolve once they learn a technique. They will evolve the same level they learn the move. However, if taught from the All-Move Move Tutor, then they will evolve upon the next level-up. Pokémon that evolve by this method: Lickitung --> [Rollout] --> Lickilicky Tangela --> [Ancientpower] --> Tangrowth Mime Jr. --> [Mimic] --> Mr. Mime Bonsly --> [Mimic] --> Sudowoodo Yanma --> [Ancientpower] --> Megayanma Aipom --> [Double Attack] --> Ambipom Piloswime --> [Ancientpower] --> Mamoswine ::Item & Level-up;; Some Pokémon evolve upon the next level-up when they have an item attached. Three Pokémon evolve by this method; Sneasel, Gligar and Happiny. Pokémon that evolve by this method: Sneasel --> [@ Sharp Claw & Level-up] --> Weavile Gligar --> [@ Sharp Fang & Level-up] --> Glizor Happiny --> [@ Round Stone & Level-up] --> Chansey ::Area Evolution;; Ah, Area Evolution, one of the most confusing methods in Driskill at the moment. Again, it's being changed, this time to something a little easier. Pokémon that evolve by this method: Eevee --> [Moss Stone] --> Leafeon Eevee --> [Icicle Stone] --> Glaceon Magneton --> [Trade w/ Electrizer] --> Magnezone Nosepass --> [Trade w/ Random Rock] --> Probopass ::Time Dependant Happiness;; Another new method in D/P, four Pokémon (Budew, Chingling, Riolu, and Eevee) evolve by happiness, but only in Day, or in the case of Chingling, Night. You still need to get them to four hearts, but you must raise them a level at the appropriate time or they won't evolve. Pokémon that evolve by this method: Budew --> [Happy @ Day] --> Roselia Chingling--> [Happy @ Night] --> Chimecho Riolu --> [Happy @ Day] --> Lucario ::Pokémon Required Evolution;; Another unique, and probably one of the hardest to do, Mantyke evolves when a Remoraid is in your party. The Remoraid will not disappear. Just leave it in your party, and your Mantyke will evolve upon the next level-up. Pokémon that evolve by this method: Mantyke --> [Remoraid in Party + Level-up] --> Mantine ::Unique Time/Level/Joy Evolution:: Another unique, and fairly hard, evolution meathod. Eevee evolves depending on the time of day, happiness, and a level up. Or you could just use a Shard, but they are very hard to come by... Eevee --> [Happy @ Day+Level Up] --> Espeon Eevee --> [Happy @ Night+Level Up] --> Umbreon Edited by Damon, Jul 6 2009, 04:09 PM.
