With this fic.. I think my writing spark is back! =D Title: Glory Rating: T /Could be slightly M/ Characters: Fakhir, Souzou, Umeko for a few lines. Warning: Kink /Blood-play, Mutilation, S&M/, BoyxBoy in the beginning. -- You never knew what Iago Casillas was thinking. There was something fundamentally wrong with Iago Casillas; something broken deep inside him that had never healed, or might not have been there in the first place. It left him almost sociopathic- incapable of understanding other people's emotions, or of treating other people as anything other than objects for his gratification. Stepping stones to what he really wanted. Obstacles to be removed. There were no people in Iago Casillas's world, only Iago Casillas. He was the only person who mattered, the only person worth thinking about. Something in his mind simply would not allow other people into his worldview, something would not allow him to branch out and show concern for other people's wellbeing. Everything traced back to him, beautifully selfish and amazingly self-absorbed, and everything that Iago ever did was for his benefit and his alone. That was obvious enough just by his behavior, his true behavior. The lies he wove around himself to get what he wanted. But there was something more to that, something more in Iago that didn't seem right, that didn't feel normal. Iago was fundamentally broken in ways that Fakhir couldn't understand, and probably would never understand, because Fakhir wasn't crazy. At least, not like Iago was. Iago would deny that he was crazy, of course, and he was lucid and extremely clever, and manipulative to an astonishing degree. It didn't change the fact that the patterns, the paths that his mind took were incomplete in some ways, that some part of him was dead and broken, or had never grown at all. There were times when his behavior mystified himself, and he had no explanation for it. There were times when he seemingly blacked out, reverting to some kind of strange mindset where no one could follow and nothing came out. He had no memory of doing this, no rationale. Strange urges he couldn't control, an inability to feel anything approaching human empathy for anyone giving his impulses a freer reign. What would happen if he hit you with that fist? What would happen if he stepped on that shinigami’s head? How long would that fire burn? His naive and charming persona that he put on for the world and the women, that he used to get what he wanted, it echoed throughout his being in minute but definite ways, tiny ripples from a pebble thrown into unpredictable waters. At times Iago was well-defined, he knew himself and what he wanted with the utmost clarity, and at others it seemed he believed his false exterior, the cheerful empty-headedness, and he talked to himself with a bit more fervor than could be considered normal, perhaps. Iago was broken somewhere inside, in a way that could not be fixed. In a way, he was flawed in a way he never allowed anyone to see. Even when he was humiliated, defeated, Fakhir at least knew that he wasn't crazy. Not like Iago was. He wasn't that far gone. Dealing with Iago became a dangerous roulette, a constant guessing game of exactly who he'd be talking to, what they would want, how they'd react. Fakhir was in the unique position of knowing who Iago really was, since they'd known each other for too long, and that allowed him insight into Iago that no one else had. It was not that this insight was helpful, but it meant that Iago shed his bubble-headed exterior around him, and revealed a swirling void of unpredictable mood shifts and questionable sanity. If it had been anyone other than Fakhir, they would have stopped. Left the game. Stopped competing, or simply moved on. Given up. Fakhir was not so easily dissuaded, and he didn't give up that easily. Iago had thrown down the gauntlet, so many years ago, and Fakhir was not going to rest until he'd finally shown Iago who was superior. Other people would have given up, but Fakhir was nothing if not stubborn and fiercely proud. He could cut through Iago's false cheeriness without any effort, words carefully cutting the strings that held the puppet in place, his mask against his face, and flipped his hair back as easily as if he'd done it himself. He was lucid, and Iago was... indescribable. Iago was constantly in flux, shifting from one mood and motivation to the next, and it made interacting with him dangerous and unpredictable. Exciting, although Fakhir preferred the term challenging. And there was no greater challenge than this. Talking, playing at false civility, shouting, arguing, and then abruptly right back into his mask, his false smile and innocent look. Back and forth with no warning. Fakhir worked, cut the strings, refused to let the conversation out of his control, let the consequences slide and Iago laughed at him, or at something, anyway. Iago laughed and stared at something past him, said something about how they were both in agreement, although Fakhir could honestly say he wasn't sure that both in that sentence entailed him and Iago. Iago grabbed his jacket forcefully, an arrogant gesture and Fakhir pushed his hands off, refusing to give in. Iago laughing still, almost hysterically, madly like he'd brought some undead creature to life, and he stepped around Fakhir like some kind of strange, elaborate dance. Taunting, mocking, careful reminders of the life they used to lead together, of the world they'd both abandoned for this, the constant push and pull. Sanity against insanity, switching as it came to them. The definition could be so fluid, at times. Fakhir grabbed his wrist, growled at him to stop pacing like that, and Iago cackled as if that was some kind of victory, which only incensed Fakhir further. Iago's hands wound tight in his jacket again, pulling him close so their body heat mingled, his face all too close and those scars across his eye livid and red, and he smiled at him evilly. Fakhir was sure he'd like the fact he'd described it that way. Motivations changing, plans shifting midstream, perhaps shifting mindsets or even personalities, Fakhir didn't know. There was no way to penetrate the black box of Iago's fractured mind, but he didn't particularly care. He kissed Iago to force a decision on him, to take the control of the situation out of his hands. Iago could distract and change tacks all he liked, but now he had to make a decision, if Fakhir wanted to let him do that. Broke away his hands from his face. Iago did grab Fakhir's hands, tugged at them momentarily to free himself and then changed his mind, again, and the two of them pressed tightly against each other, heat building fiercely. Moments like this only brought to mind all of the things that Casillas had done to him, all the cruel things he'd randomly done, all the reasons he had to hate him, and it made his blood rise and his heart beat fast. Iago's body was hard against him, the two of them matching each other as they always tended to do in everything, except Iago's unbalanced nature somehow gave him an unfair edge, his ruthlessness let him do what had to be done, and Fakhir... Iago grabbed Fakhir's hair, pulled it hard as the two of them kissed, and Fakhir dug his fingers into the back of Iago's head, around his neck. Iago eventually broke away, coughing and angry, and he let go of Fakhir's hair to grab the collars of his jacket and pull it down roughly, nearly trapping Fakhir's arm. Angry, forceful movements as Fakhir struggled to get out of his jacket, keeping a tight hand on Iago's lapel to stop him from getting away, and Iago started laughing again. Breathless and without purpose, laughing enough to shake his hand as Fakhir returned the favor, pulling at Iago's clothes just as harshly. Their movements were quick and hard, fingertips digging too deep or pulling just to reaffirm that there was no affection here, not really. It was another struggle for dominance, the crash of horns of two males tried to stake out their territory on the other. Fingertails scraped along Fakhir's cheek, and he gritted his teeth and glared at Iago as he grabbed his hand to pull it away. Staring into his eyes, and they focused on something not in the room. Far away and not present, and Fakhir took the opportunity, his mouth pressing against Iago's hard and fierce, pushing him down hard into the cushions of the couch they'd ended up on. Iago's body was still for a second, stiff and then abruptly it was a whirlwind of motion. Iago broke away from him, his eyes feral and wide and angry, a wordless snarl on his lips as he raised his hands like claws to strike at him. They'd known each other too long. Fakhir pulled back and caught his wrists before they could inflict easy damage, Iago thrashing beneath him like a wild animal. Another shift in mindset, another fractured connection made in the bizarre, malformed neural pathways in Iago's mind, and Fakhir had seen this before. There was no warning, but there was never any warning. Iago never gave him warning for anything. He broke free, one hand and quickly went for Fakhir's eyes, which he shut instinctually. Iago's fingers clawed down his face, raising sharp lines and causing blood to rush to his face and a rush of heat, and Fakhir hissed sharply. Grasped his neck like he was drawing him closer, only to rake his claws along his shoulder and nape until Fakhir caught his hand again, pushed it down angrily with a slight pop that made Iago gasp and growl. Fighting fiercely with all his strength, and it was all that Fakhir could do to keep him down. He felt something warm welling up on his skin, near his eyes...Iago had broken skin again. A spatter of a blood droplet against Iago's skin, and then he stopped moving again, staring at Fakhir like he just realized he was there, and he started laughing again. Cruel and spiteful, and at least this time it had a target. He didn't know how often Iago saw him in these moments. Trying to explain Iago was futile. Yet in a sick way, he relished it. These moments of madness where Iago wasn’t killing or screaming- he was just an entity of built up fury and power slammed into a body which was becoming unable to contain the presence. Fakhir drank it in. He bit Iago's lip, and with a twist of his head he'd smeared the blood from his wounds across Iago's face. Iago darted out a tongue to taste for a moment before fixing Fakhir with a distinctly predatory smile. He struggled and fought again, and this time Fakhir had to try and keep Iago off of him, his teeth away from his throat and fend off the bites along his neck. His body moving quickly, shifting and their positions reversing, Fakhir on his back trying to stop Iago from killing him or so he'd assume, and in moments it became a life and death struggle. Iago scratched up his arms, his shoulders, his stomach and chest, his teeth drawing blood along the side of his neck while Fakhir growled and fought back as best he could. His nails weren't as long as Iago's, or as well cared for, but they could do the job when pressed. And when Iago was close to him, that put him at a disadvantage too. It was risky to get this close to someone, but sometimes that was the only way you could really destroy them. Iago's motions shifting, changing and his attacks slowed, becoming less intense as he refocused his attention on grinding their bodies together, warm friction between the two of them that had built throughout the whole night. Foreplay, to Iago's fractured mind perhaps and to Fakhir's as well, although he didn't have insanity to excuse that. Used to the taste of blood in his mouth, the sudden abrupt changes, prepared to fight for his life or ride Iago with all his strength depending on how crazy Iago was at any moment. Prepared for anything. You had to be, to have a rival like Iago Casillas. To be his equal. Their struggles, trying to press together and still hurt the other at the same time, still gain the physical pleasure while denying it to the other, could not keep them on the couch for long. They fell to the floor with a thump, still struggling to top the other, to switch positions, to fight and establish dominance. Iago beneath him, seized with another insane fit of animal rage, shrieking like a wounded cat as Fakhir refused to let him go, pinned his arms and legs down as he could and let Iago's struggles move him against him, let him try to get away and just give Fakhir what he wanted in the first place. Blows across the face, the blood drying and wound closing from the scratches, although new ones soon took their place along the rest of his body. Rolled one way or the other, too busy grappling with one another to try to find a weapon nearby, too busy trying to ignore the intense physical reaction each grind against the other while they fought provided. Iago incomprehensible, beyond words, lost in his own world of lies and delusions and who knows what else. Fakhir took the chance and pulled him close to him, his neck vulnerable as he bucked his hips hard against him, causing Iago to give a low moan and shudder in his arms before attempting to turn against him, fight him, claw and bite and kill him. Fakhir kept his grip tight, kept him close because he wasn't about to let Iago win, let him win this because as long as he was alive, he'd never give up... Iago moved with his next thrust, a breathy sound with the motion that didn't need words, and he shut his eyes with his face flushed and red, and for a moment Fakhir could forget the battle and remember how hot this could be, when he looked like this and they were doing this and he had him like this, tight against him and hot and just as hard, just the same... Fakhir came, shuddering and hissing, and when it was over enough to think he struck Iago across the face, pushing him away. Iago hissed at him and renewed his efforts in attacking him, the strain causing his muscles to shake and his feet scrabbled against the carpet. Fakhir gritted his teeth, tried to keep Iago far enough away so that he couldn't tear his throat out, and he felt Iago shift his position, straddling him more tightly and angling his body to press against him. Iago dragged his nails down Fakhir's chest, causing him to arch his back and hiss involuntarily, and Iago met the rise of his body enthusiastically, thrusting against him and letting out a shuddering moan, his eyes closed. When they opened again, Iago raised his hand and returned the favor, striking Fakhir hard enough across the face that he felt his tooth cut his cheek. Not about to put up with that, Fakhir grabbed Iago's arms and used all of his body weight to manage to push Iago off of him. The two untangled, glaring at the other and still breathing heavily. Iago looked down at his arm, at a bleeding scratch and gave it a cautious lick, glaring at Fakhir all the while. Fakhir managed to stand up and went to the bathroom to get some bactine and bandages for his own wounds. He had no idea what Iago would be doing or where he would be when he came back. Fakhir stared at himself in the mirror, hesitantly running a finger along the red scratches down his face, and smiled at the thought of Casillas's matching set. Anyone else would have left or stopped this. Fakhir did not. Once you stared into the abyss... there was really no going back. He looked into the reflection ofh is cut up face and yet plastered against the bruises and the blood- was a smile stretching from ear to ear in a large grin. Perhaps, he had been as sick as Casillas- or perhaps Casillas had made him as sick as he was. Either way, he relished it while licked his wrists slightly. -- “Souzou, you’re reeking of alcohol,” Umeko whined, cringing away slightly as she held onto the arm draped around her shoulder, “I can’t carry you home unless you stop stumbling so much!” She tripped again over Souzou’s feet and tried to steady herself for a third time as the arrancar settled his head on the captain’s shoulder making strange noises mixed between a groan and a few muttering of phrases Umeko wasn’t sure she knew. Sighing slightly, she balanced herself then used her free hand to push Souzou into a standing position while holding onto his arm around her neck. The drunk captain was almost unresponsive as she managed to reach only a few steps away from the bar onto the trip over Souzou’s uneven footing once more. “What am I going to do with you…,” she muttered, leaning him against the wall of a building while putting her hand to his forehead which seemed to be hotter than usual, “Guess you’re stuck at my place tonight... You’ll be whining in the morning and be utterly useless in taking care of yourself with the hangover you’ll have...” Fakhir gritted his teeth around his wrists, he felt blood draw as he stared at the scene before him. The dark haired girl had already received the worst name in his books- now all he wanted to do was to jump from his hiding and slam her against the wall. He wanted to bruise her and beat her until she realized that she wasn’t worthy of touching him. Strip her of her cloak and strangle her with his bare hands until he felt the life drain from her youthful form. Only Fakhir was allowed that privilege. He was the only one allowed to caress that skin, hold that body and do what he wished all the while bleeding and licking the remains. He was the only one with the right to do what he wished. But he stayed and watched as the dark haired girl managed to get another captain to assist her in carrying Souzou- no, Iago. He thought he could bury who he was, what he did and live with these less than likable people. He thought he could protect those he managed to grow a strange fondness for- no… Fakhir smirked. They were just toys to him. Yes, Fakhir licked his wrist, Toys. She’s just a toy. A toy. He’ll tire of her and he’ll come back. This is just a new game for him. The green haired arrancar licked his fingers with a thought. “Perhaps,” he muttered softly, “Speeding up the process wouldn’t hurt.” He smiled and watched the orange haired captain slowly being carried off. “He’ll turn back… to Iago-sama, once all obstacles are removed,” he glared at the long haired captain following behind them, “And a trip to Hueco Mundo… to relive his glory.” |
