Listed here are thread topics that will warrant either locking or deleting, regardless of whether they have been answered or not - Old Threads: If you post in a topic that's over 3 days old it will warrant an instant lock. - Boasting Threads: "What level are you?" "I have X, what do you have?" "I beat X! Have you?" - Non-Questions: This one is pretty straight forward, this is a Question and Answer forum. If you're not here to ask a question, you're in the wrong forum. - Farming Questions: "Where should I farm to get the most Credits?" "Where's the best place to get X amout of Credits?" There are also great guides in the MechQuest Guides forum about farming. If you don't agree with information you find within the the Guides, you can propose a change on the guide itself; this means provide complete information and a statement about why you think it should be, don't just say "You're wrong". - Personal Questions: "How old are you?" "Where do you live?" "What's your sign in info? I can help you!" These are questions that don't belong on these forums at all. Not only is it inappropriate to ask for other peoples information but it's just a bad idea in general to give info to strangers. - Non MQ Related Questions: This ties into the questions above. This is the MechQuest Q&A, only MQ related questions should ever be posted here. - Answered Questions: If you see a thread has been answered and you do not have further information to add, please do NOT post in it. - Discussion Questions: If it's a topic that you feel would warrant discussion in order to come to an answer, please post it in the MechQuest General Discussion board. - Suggestions Any threads that are in one way or another a "suggestion" for change to some aspect of MechQuest. These kinds of threads belong in the Suggestions Forum - Bugs: While it is ok to post asking whether something seems like a bug, once you've found out whether something is a bug/glitch then it needs to go in the Bugs Forum. Check first to see if anyone else has posted about it. If they have, there's no need to post again unless it is to add more information (browser type/mechas/equipments affected/etc). Please note that details of any bugs which are abusable should NOT be posted publicly, and instead should be PMed to a Forum Moderator. - Character rating questions: No threads involving ratings of any kind are needed or allowed in MQ Q&A. - Equipment Comparisons: Equipment Comparisons no longer need individual threads. If you want items compared, or want to answer other's comparison requests, please go to the MechQuest Equipment Comparison thread, thanks! - Complaint Questions: "Why can't I kill X? He's too hard!" "X is ridiculous! You can't kill them!" First off, many of these are usually not questions and simple rants don't have a place in these forums. If you genuinely believe that something is really too hard to beat (assuming normal difficulty here - anything else is MEANT to be a challenge!) then you should post a thread in the MQ Game Balance Discussion board, ideally with some figures to back your argument up. - Plot Spoiler Questions: Any plot critical information, such as surprise bosses and/or paths in walkaround quests must be posted in spoiler tags for 24 hours after the release. This includes both questions and answers - Asking 'What special moves does spoiler boss name use' needs to be in spoiler tags, and the entire answer would have to be too. As thread titles cannot be put in spoiler tags, please do name your threads 'Spoiler boss name help!' or similar. After 24 hours have passed since the release, no spoiler tags are needed and questions may be asked as normal Finally, please name your threads appropriately. Topic titles such as 'Help!', or, worse yet, 'Heeelllpp!!!', are too generic, and doesn't actually say what you need to help with. And never post in caps, it's considered spam. Also, please be very specific in the first post of your thread - make absolutely sure that people reading can UNDERSTAND what you are saying. It is also wise to make sure all of your words are spelled correctly. |
