Finding himself a bit sore lately, Aiden had finally decided to take it easy from all the various activities he had been engaged in while in heaven. No doubt the constant training and exercising he had been doing was beginning to wear on him - a strange notion given that he was dead yet his body still felt the strain of the after life actions. Still, it was nice to finally relax.

Each side of his chest around his rib area strained when he moved too far. His back ached just below the shoulder blades. His calf muscles felt tensed and sore when ever he spent more than five minutes on his feet. Both arms were sluggish and definitely needed a rest. It was almost too much to take in, honestly. No doubt the weakened muscles were a result of the constant actions he had been performing while inside the gravitron Bulma had created.

Every time he trained it was in there. Whether it was learning a new trick from one of the greats or merely going through the various training regimes that the legendary Saiyan Prince Vegeta often did he was within the confines of that metal sphere pushing the gravity limits time and time again. By now it was clear he was not at the level of some of the Z Fighters. Gohan, for example, would sneak away occasionally to get a work out in (he so infrequently sought the martial art but was steadily growing with it lately) and compared to their gravity differences there was a clear distinction between the two of them. Gohan was far, far his superior in a lot of aspects.

But, yes. Back to the whole relaxing thing. Heaven was a paradise to most people. It was intended to be a place where people were given eternal rest from their cares or worries - a place where conflict only existed if you wished it to and you did not have to bother one way or another. You paid your debt to whatever cosmic entity created you by living through life no matter how good or bad it was and now your reward for being a good little boy (or girl) was to be at peace. Forever.

Sounded nice on paper, sure. And of course it had to have some perks and surprises to go in the brochure right? So it was to no real surprise to the human fighter that such a place as the Hot Spring Paradise existed. Given the amount of souls that existed in heaven over crowding would seemingly be an issue with such a place. But no, given the unique nature of heaven in general it always managed to find more and more room apparently created out of thin air. So just imagine how expansive a popular location such as the Hot Spring Paradise was.

Aiden had heard about it from the Z Fighter Yamcha who had frequented the place a great deal when he wanted to unwind (which was - by the way - almost all the time). The Z Fighter had a tendency to be a bit of a skirt chaser and given that one of his rewards for a fruitful and honest life was to keep his body fully and in its prime (most were reduced to have ghost tails) he was quite the womanizer even in his after life. Where else was he going to find hotties to pick up but at a hot spring where they were either in bikinis or less?

Dressed in a simple red swim trunks with a white line going down each side, a towel wrapped over his shoulders, and that signature bandana around his brow Aiden looked ready for some fun in the sun for a change. What’s more he even found several glances tossed his way from the various women that were about. Given his training regime lately there was no doubt in his mind that he probably had no fat on his body - each bump and curve of his form completely toned and chiseled by pure muscle. He was not as big and broad as someone like Olibu - his stature giving him a more lean and tight looking build - but he was happy with the results. The few cat calls he picked up as he walked through the resort was proof enough of that.

Finally finding himself at a relatively unoccupied hot spring pool, Aiden layed the towel down beside the rocks at the edge of it before stepping one foot into the warm water. It singed his nerves a bit as he slowly adjusted to the sudden heat of the water but after wading out into a deeper section and then slowly sitting down it took no time at all to get used to it.

Ah. This was what he needed. It’s a shame he couldn’t invite anyone else to join him. He doubted Prototype 10 would be much of a hot spring fan (something about electrical circuits and water didn’t seem to mix) but Ryuudo would no doubt enjoy it. And Reina? She’d go nut for it, no doubt. And given the latest news about her how planet’s condition she definitely needed the unwinding time. He made a mental note to seek her out sometime soon (she was no doubt busy with various training in heaven somewhere) and bring her along the next time he decided to make a stop at the hot springs.

With his eyes slowly closing and his attention drifting he lost track of the amount of time that passed. Aiden let himself drift through the water whoever it would take him. However, something would eventually wind up disturbing his relaxation. There was an individual as much as Aiden could tell making a bit of a ruckus. It sounded like it was coming from behind the brush near the end of the far side of that particular pool as well. Just who could it be? A peeping tom most likely…

As we left off, Aiden was busy enjoying his relaxation in the warmth of a very quiet and disclosed hot spring. The ache of his muscles were seemingly beginning to drift away in his moment of relief and he very nearly had fallen asleep in the process. However, a noise made by what he could only assume was a crazed individual caught his attention. A scowl curled onto his usually handsome face before he began to swim toward the source.

There was a rustling sound coming from behind a bunch of brush just off the edge of the spring. The leaves movements gave away their hidden madman - not that the strange shouting wasn’t already enough of a tell. Aiden braced his hands against the edge of that pool before pulling himself out of it and coming to rest at the edge. Warm water dripped from his body while a cool chill enclosed his upper form in the sudden cold that followed. It made him more irritable that his hot spring filled vacation was being so interrupted now.

Inching closer to that brush while keeping himself low to the ground he did his best to peer through it. From what he could tell a strange, bug like alien was on the other side. His motions were wild an erratic and his voice was a bit hushed so as not to draw attention most likely. Was he peeping in on the girl’s hot spring through the fence? Maybe the individual had found a hole in it somewhere? His actions might have been some strange… mating… thing. Aiden didn’t understand half the customs of the aliens here.

Deciding to ruin this man’s parade and prevent him from any more tom foolery his hand would lash out and grasp the individual by the shoulder, catching him off guard. With a strong enough heave he would send that person flying back through the air and crashing into the warm hot springs Aiden just vacated.

“What do you think you’re doing?!” Aiden shouted as he whirled on the spot and faced the man with both hands on his hips. He was surely going to give the man a piece of his mind. A peeping tom. To think someone would stoop so low as to--

Aiden blinked. The individual he had thrown did not look like a bug alien any more. In fact, he looked… worse? Human from initial guess but garbed in a strange outfit. The helmet that rested upon his head was what he had mistaken for an alien. The individual was garbed in what looked like a lime green tunic - dark green now that it was soaked - and matching gloves and boots. The helmet upon his head was fashioned after a biker helmet with an obvious modification. And then there was that flashy, red cape.

What did he think he was? The Great Saiyaman? Everyone knew that he had lived a long time ago and would no longer…

Duh. Heaven. Hello.

“You’re the Great Saiyaman!” Aiden suddenly exclaimed. Who born of Earth did not know of the man? He was almost as famous as the Great Mr. Satan was. His heroic deeds were legendary to the people of Earth - setting the stage for later heroes to come forth and show their support to the world. If it weren’t for the Great Saiyaman someone like the Supreme Savior might not exist in fact.

“Oh crap,” he uttered as he noticed the so called ‘great’ one was completely soaked with his cape thrown over his head in an inglorious manner. He could only imagine how pissed off the guy must be. “Here, let me help you up.”

Reaching his hand out for the man he gripped it only to have the glove come slipping over and for Saiyaman to crash back into the water yet again. This time his helmet came right off in the endeavor. Aiden scrambled to pick it up for him before slapping it back on his head - backwards. The water that accumulated within it proceeded to pour all over the poor hero as well.

“Ooh, sorry about that.”

The Great Saiyaman reached up to fix his helmet before taking it off completely. Aiden was greeted with quite a surprise at that. He looked just like the son of Goku he had gone to lunch with last week. Suddenly it hit him. Gohan was the Great Saiyaman. “Whoa!”

“Bah. What’d you do that for?” Gohan remarked, setting the helmet in his lap and sitting there in the water, drenched.

“I thought you were a peeping tom. I saw you through the bushes and you were making weird motions so I…”

“I was practicing my old signature pose. It struck terror into the hearts of bad guys for years. Videl doesn’t much like me bringing it up again - chalking it up as an old phase - but I was hoping to find a secluded place to put on the old outfit again.”

“Man, I had no idea you were the Great Saiyaman. You must have such stories..” And we all know how much Aiden loves these stories. He’s heard a ton of them in his time - all thanks to his village’s leader, Garath - and he wasn’t going to turn down any more.

“You… you’re really interested in the Great Saiyaman’s exploits?”

“Of course I am! Why else do you think I’ve wanted to be an adventurer? I grew up hearing tales like yours or your father’s. It’s what made me into the man I am today.”

Gohan’s eyes narrowed. He seemed to be thinking something carefully. “Aiden, right? You’re the one who saved the earth from that Foon fellow. He made quite a bit of noise when he came through the check point. Everyone was talking about it for a while.”

“Yeah, that’s me. Why do you ask?”

A white gloved hand was placed to Gohan’s chin as he pondered this for a few more moments. Smirking slightly he stood up before slapping Aiden upon the back and letting out a bit of a chuckle. “I just had a rather wild idea. I heard from Tien that you plan on breaking out of here, right? I might just have a job for you. That is… if you’re able to handle it.”
