“What do you mean he’s not here? I’ve got such news to tell him!” Aiden exclaimed as he listened to the words of one of the various figure members of his village. His enthusiasm had been shot down by the sudden news that Garath, the village leader, was no where to be found. The boy had been so excited to spread the news he had with the man about the dragon balls and the other adventure he had experienced from the places he’d been to the people he’s seen or even fought. Of all the times for him to be gone… why not? Something had to be up.

“Any idea where he went?” Aiden asked calmly as he looked over Tay the man who seemed most informed. Those big brown eyes held their gaze intently showing the obvious need for Aiden to know.

“Hm… let me see now… I saw him leave here a few days ago and…” he paused and seemed to hold on for an hour as he contemplated. Of course, it only felt that long. In fact it was only a minute’s time lapse before he responded. It seemed longer to the over anxious Aiden. “Oh, right. He mentioned something about a dragon and needing to speak to someone. He left for the ancient tower of Korin.” Tay added with a firm nod.

“He went to Korin’s Tower? You mean it’s real?” Aiden asked quite surprised. He had heard plenty of stories about the tower in Garath’s fables. Garath had mentioned the first time he had managed to climb it and perform the impossible feat as well as gain the prized audience with its inhabitants. There was also the story of when Goku had done the very same for the sake of the Indian Village nearby, all to save the life of his friend. From the story it appeared as if the tower stretched on for miles. Could he really climb such a thing?

His enthusiasm was all but dashed when he suddenly remembered something. Tay seemed curious by his reaction and cocked one of those long eyebrows. Aiden didn’t both to mouth his reply; his body did the job for him. That ki energy pushed out beneath him slowly pressed him into the air as he hovered for a few moment. The idea of climbing the tower wasn’t so daunting now. And, of course, there was another even easier way to get around.

Aiden disappeared in a flash, that instant transmission taking him as close to the tower as he could pinpoint. At that rate he’d reach the top in no time at all.
