"You can't kick yourself for a few mistakes man. You can't be everywhere at once - but not being out there at all is even worse." Buddy would try and reason, sighing in dismay as Xavier would resume his drowning in alcohol.

Damnit - he was worse than he thought he'd be.

"This isn't the time for giving up, we have to fight." Buddy would nod, raising a fist in front of him to further illustrate just what he meant. The room was dark, though where Buddy stood, the moon let its soft shine illuminate his unyielding image.

Or maybe not.
Putting down the bottle on the table that was near, Xavier rubbed his hand over his head to flatten his fuzzy hair. He didn’t really bother listening, as he’d already know what he was going to say. You have to fight against the villains, you have to help the humans, you got to, you must, you-yada, yada, yada.

”Look. If you want to fight crime, be my guest. Just leave me out of it, alright?”

He reached for the floor, looking for yet another unopened bottle. He had to drink away his depression.

Watching the sorry sap that’d become the Supreme Alcoholic, scraping up bottle after bottle in a nearly mechanical fashion and tearing into them. The sight was more sad than anything, a sadness that Buddy really didn’t know how to respond to aside from the shaking of his head, and the deep frown that’d found itself on his face.

“It’s not about what you can, nor what you could do.” Buddy would move his body through the tall window he had opened to stand on the fire escape. He didn’t want to have to trip and dodge beer bottles on his way out again.

“It’s about what you stood for. Clean yourself up bro, here’s my number when you do.” Buddy slid out a business card and set it on the window sill before closing the window quickly from the outside, causing the card to flip up from the force glide and land at the base of Aldridge’s heater.

Jumping down from the fire escape, Buddy would land in a back alley. What a relief – no one was getting mugged inside of it. He’d stroll from inside the alley back for his bike – finding it missing with only his helmet on the ground.

Some lucky thief would be found joy riding after hijacking Buddy’s motorbike, and sadly for him Buddy had a GPS system linked to his wrist com to his bike. At a redlight, the thief would find his jaw smashed into by a Buddy Madgey fist, and while the guy looked up at Buddy in fear, Buddy would toss his helmet into the guy’s gut.

“You forgot this.” Buddy would say before turning on his heels. The thief, utterly surprised would tremble in his lay, hugging the helmet to him in utter disbelief. He’d stand up and watch Buddy continue down the street, walking with his hands in pocket, a cheerful tune whistled on his lips.

As he walked, he came past a Halloween shop. Inside the display resided a children’s suit that resembled The Supreme Savior’s outfit. As he stood there observing it, an idea came to him.

An idea … for the ages.

If you want to fight crime, be my guest.

Oh Buddy definitely would. He definitely would.
