[ Exp for just one of these plz kthx.] West City A lady reporter, Lana Cartwright, stood atop of a floating platform in a navy blue dress and jacket above a crowd of red and white wearing Buddy fanatics that had gathered before a blocked off podium set in front of the massive Capsule Corp fountain, a constructed that looked like a hollowed out capsule with water streaming up through its openings. “Today, after spending a week in recovery, Galactic Invitational favorite and finalist Buddy Madgey will be speaking here today in front of Capsule Corp plaza. Literally, hundreds of his supporters have come out to see him speak. Many speculate that this will be a speech thanking his supporters and a public display of his support being tossed behind Reina, a Saiyan from the planet Vegeta who will be facing Rosencrantz in the final battle of the tournament. In his time during the tournament, Buddy has become quite the sensation – being recognized as ‘Earth’s Champion’ due to his messages of galactic peace and stability. The argument has been, though, how can one participating in such a violent event can truly uphold the mantle of peace? As some may know since the tournament’s start – three of the contestants have died. Tundre, a changeling contestant killed on Yardrat by an unknown man, Lowell Strife, a Saiyan who disappeared after his second round loss and has been presumed dead, and very recently Miccah Eplin was murdered by another contestant, Kuhn Kyojaku here in West City. Also, the one revered as a hero to all, The Supreme Savior, has disappeared. He was also a contestant in this tournament, and one could only pray he hasn’t shared the same fate as the three previously mentioned. The tournament has seemingly brought more destruction than our planet can bear, and now as Buddy Madgey takes the stage, he alone is a testament to this event’s brutality, having nearly been killed in his bout with Rosencrantz. He is about ready to speak, we will take you to him now, live, and afterwards we have a panel here to discuss what he says here today, and we will also have a correspondent here from the President’s office to answer questions as well – the main one being, when will the murderers out there be brought to justice, and what can we do, the people of Earth, to endure the trials of such blatant evil and chaos plaguing our daily lives. Here we go now, live to Benvolio Madgey, known to all as simply, Buddy.” Edited by Buddy, Apr 21 2009, 01:47 PM.

The Capsule Corp field researcher Buddy Madgey had walked onto the stage lined with head Capsule Corp representatives, decked out in a tailor fitted black on red suit with a pair of red Nikes on his feet. The young combatant would wave to the thunderous applause, his steps slightly slower than usual, but nothing too notable. He’d shake the hands of all the bosses that probably asked him to get their coffee sometime in the past without even knowing his name before he’d take the podium, gripping its sides and with a broad smile on his face. He’d have to wait another full minute before the crowd’s cheering finally calmed down. “Thanks, thank you, thank you, everyone. Thanks for being here with me on this very important day. I’m here to say that we at Capsule Corp thank everyone for their support…” Buddy realized he was reading from a teleprompter completely created by his job who wanted to keep Buddy on track. That’s not how he rolled. He’d ignore it for now, letting his eyes drop to those who came to see him – and not a Capsule Corp rep. |

“My time in this tournament made me realize that… heh, it was just that – a tournament. Again, I thank you all for your support but, I’m no hero or anything like that. The real heroes out there are you. You all believe in a better tomorrow, and so do I, and it’s that belief that keeps me rocking on a consistent basis. In light of recent events, some soul searching and a whole lot of R+B music, I’ve decided to use all precedes I’ve made from my sponsorship into creating something I’m calling – Hero Corps. It’ll be a pacifist, defensive movement to help protect and better our communities, and will train peace keepers and will take anyone who is willing to try and make a difference in this world we live in, and hell, maybe other planets out there that needs better protection. It’ll organize community watches and build safe havens to those out there who need shelter and refuge after their lives have been ruined or destroyed by the mayhem plaguing our streets on a daily basis. The Supreme Savior can’t be everywhere at once, it’s time that we all start mobilizing, getting smarter about what we do in our daily lives, and helping protect each other in these trying times of villainy. I myself am ashamed that I have, despite what I have been telling you all with each chance I got about how important peace and unity was, promoted violence in my actions in this tournament. Those out there watching at home, please, don’t try and get involved in crime fighting and vigilantism if you can’t handle it. I’ve heard in the absence of the Supreme Savior that some guys like The Raven and others have been popping up. These bad guys out here are nothing to joke around about, and with the death of Miccah Eplin, an amazing fighter here, we can hold that as evident that the best choice for everyone found in those situations to get out of there as quickly as possible, phone the West City National Guard, do what it takes just – don’t try and be a superhero or something like that.”

“As for me, I will be using what influence I have to promote Hero Corps – and help families devastated by recent attacks on our world. I am retiring from professional fighting, and never again will you see Buddy Madgey in any kind of tournament or anything like that. I’m a lover, not a fighter, and I love all of you guys out there who continue to be decent people despite the jerks out there trying to tear our world apart. I’ll tell you right now, they won’t win, they’ll never win as long as we refuse to surrender – as long as we resist.” Buddy would exhale deeply, nod and would say, “In closing, I’d like to say Miccah Eplin, thank you and you’re in our thoughts, same for Lowell Strife, The Supreme Savior, and Reina as well as she stands to face Rosencrantz in the final rounds. She needs our support guys – all of it. Despite all I’ve said, that tournament is not over, and we can only hope that in this final battle, the good will prevail. But the real fight isn’t in the tournament; it’s here in our streets, in our world. Peace and love everybody, the opening for the first Hero Corps center should be in the next week – I’m sure you all know how to get further information about it. Thank you - everyone for your time, take care!” Buddy Madgey would kiss his hand and wave to them all with a modest smile on his face before he’d exit the stage to shake everyone’s hands. After spending the day signing autographs and giving out Hero Inc t-shirts his father had printed up, Buddy would venture to his father’s law firm office, where he had placed in a special request for them to dig up some information on a particular somebody. After spending time eating, arguing and loving his Changeling girlfriend, Buddy sat atop of his motorbike with a folder in hand, the tab reading ‘Xavier Aldridge’. Firing up his bike engine, into the night he’d roll on, helmet on, with a one strapped book bag clipped across his chest. His bike would bring him into a downtown area of West City, the northern district which wasn’t too crime thick, but perilous enough for those with any sort of sense to get into the safety of their homes when the street lights came on. Buddy Madgey would bring his cycle to a slanted halt in front of a particular apartment complex. He’d flip up his visor to get a better look at it. “Wow, what a craphole this dump is…” Buddy would comment as he’d swing his leg over, bringing booted feet to rest in the rain wet sidewalk. He wore a pair of black sneakers with a black on silver suit. He’d pluck off his black helmet and tuck it on his cycle and activate the alarm with the click of his key ring. Some night owl ladies were watching the television star, and he’d wink at them, “Hey ladies.” They’d giggle of course. Buddy was always a ladies’ man. Suavely he’d enter the apartment, gain access upstairs, and take the elevator ride up to where the Salvidor Supreme was residing. It had been impossibly hard to track him down. Only someone with some kind of pull could get this kind of information. Luckily, Buddy was the son of someone who could. Though, even then it was hard convincing his father to go about persuading the right people to scrounge up the history of the Savior. He walked down a dinky hallway up to Supreme’s place. He noticed take out boxes of pizza and alcohol bottles cluttered by the door. Damn, he hoped Supreme hadn’t gotten fat or something. He'd knock lightly under the numbers on the door. The scene opened with an image of the planet Earth, floating around in the limitless galaxy. The planet looked unbelievably beautiful from this range. You could never imagine that 7 billion people walk around on that little globe. Never. Voices emerged. Voices from random people. Women, men, children. They were all different, yet they were shouting the same thing. “You let us down. We will never forgive you. You let us down, we will never forgive you!” their voices kept getting louder, and louder. “YOU LET US DOWN, WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!” Out of nothing, it became silent. Every one of those shouting voices disappeared. The planet was rotating peacefully again, right what it had to do. KABLAM!!! The planet what was once Earth, blew up. The explosion started out small, but it rapidly enlarged and before you knew it, the planet vanished. Billions –no, gazillions of peaces were spread all over the universe. Not shortly after you could hardly realize that there was even a planet, let alone men and women living on it. … Xavier woke up in panic. His sudden gasp for breath was soon interrupted by a knock on the door. His whole body was covered in sweat, and something that was one of the alcoholic drinks that were lying on his bed. But they weren’t just lying on his bed. No, they were lying all across the room. One was even in the shattered glass of his television. He was surprised that that was the only thing broken in the room, as he was drunk most of the time he was there. Who was that knocking on the door? Was it room service? But he didn’t order anything, did he? But there was no option else than room service. Nobody knew him! Deciding to take the risk, he left his bed and walked over to the chair where his pants were hanging. He spent most of his energy walking to the door and trying to put the pants on while hopping. Finally arriving, his hands that were covered in sweat reached out for the doorknob. He opened the door slightly, sliding his unshaven, fuzzy-haired head between the opened part. The answer that was currently in his mind was answered. And he didn’t like the answer. It was Buddy. How the fuck did he find him? His identity was waterproof! At least, he thought it was. This couldn’t be coincidence. There was no way that that guy just happened to be in the hotel and randomly knocked on a door. But Xavier hoped that that was the case. Thus, he acted like he never saw him before. ”Who are you?” he asked. Edited by The Supreme Savior, Apr 21 2009, 02:57 PM.

Buddy heard the thumps of Xavier's hopping on the wooden floorboards of his apartment. Buddy took a half step back, rubbing his pockets as he inhaled deeply, preparing himself to view the train wreck that might have become of the equal aged hero. When the door opened, Buddy's eyebrows would raise slight in inquiry as if he didn't know where he was - or frankly, who he was looking at. Naturally, the superhero looked different without his helmet, and Buddy wasn't a hundred percent sure it was actually him, but he'd have to state his belief in confidence, or the scruffy wino in front of him would never admit his identity. "Xavier Aldridge, my name is Buddy Madgey, I believe we've met before, how are ya? This your place? Looks cool! Mind if I come in? Sweet!" Buddy would speak quickly with a bright smile on his face before rushing past him in a smooth movement into the trashed place. "Whoa..." Buddy would say in the carnage, moving to take a step forward only sending a scotch bottle sliding across the floor. The smell of alcohol was thick. Buddy would navigate across the room on his toes to one of Supreme's windows - the one which lead out to a fire escape, would open it's curtain, would raise it. "There we go... let some nice, city moonlight and air in here." Buddy would grin before turning about to face Xavier after invading his room. Buddy would have to trust his father's intelligence on this matter. If they were wrong, well then he was bothering some poor stranger, and he'd have to apologize and... buy him another drink to make up for it. Supreme didn't look fat, rather, he looked still in shape and ready to enforce justice on somebody's ass parts. Another tell-tale sign that he in fact was the hero Buddy had come looking for. |

Who the hell did this guy think he was, walking into his apartment like that!? And how did he know his name? How did he find him? Why did he even want to find him? What was his damn problem? More and more questions entered his mind, and he was getting sick of it. First and foremost, there was just no way that he could have been found. His outfit was carefully thrown away in a dumpster that nobody actually ever went to, and he drew no forms of attention whatsoever. It was time to realize that the jig was up. He had been identified, and there was a possibility that it would be known all across the planet. He didn’t want that. No, he sure didn’t. His eyes closed shortly, and it was followed by a long sigh. Shaking his head slightly, he was looking for his second answer. Still having the door opened hoping that Buddy would leave and pretend this never happened, he asked his second question. ”Why are you here?” |

As if Buddy had been reading Savior's mind or something, he'd say with a light grin. "Don't worry, I'm not here to expose your or anything. That'd be stupid. I'm here to tell you the world needs you bro, you gotta get back out there." Buddy would nod firmly, hoping that would be enough to break Savior out of his rut. Of course it wouldn't be, but it was a start, and Buddy was a patient guy. Patient enough, anyways. |

“No, it doesn’t.” And it’s true, really. Out of every person killed by all of those villains in the last few weeks, what did the Savior do to counter them? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. He couldn’t do anything. He was just a weak, small person that wasn’t worth saving the planet. Bottom line; ”I fail to meet their demands. I’m nothing.” Xavier knew that Buddy wasn’t about to leave, so he closed the door. He opened another bottle of beer, and poured the liquid in his mouth.
