Gurren Dan's pillar of manly
Well That little bastard cat would get a good kicking from Blac later when he finally got around to climbing that tower again. But he was done with the structurally unsound building for now, reaching down into his pockets Blac produced a small electronic device that he slowly moved up to his lips before speaking into it loudly.

“INITIATE PROTOCAL: DRILL FINDER!”

A few minutes later a whistling sound could be heard off in the distance as the Gurren spiraled down straight at the Sayian. He stood with one leg up on a rock and a hand over his eyes staring down the approaching projectile. As soon as it was within sight range the hand that had been immobile above Blac’s eye’s, despite that the sun was behind him, shot forward pointing straight at his incoming pod. He then sprang forward taking flight straight towards it.

“ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWAH!”

he shouted taking the drill shaped tip to his chest, and grabbing the rotating sides with his hands.

What he didn’t account for was it had a spinning momentum, so even though the tip couldn’t pierce his manly fighting spirit, aura, the fact that he was holding it with his hands caused him to get caught in it’s momentum sending him spinning towards the ground at high speeds before slamming down into the earth toppling trees, bushes, and various animal life. Well it sounded like a manly thing to do at the time and now he was laying under his ship it having taken on a more robotic look and standing right above him.

As his vision blurred and grew darker Blac slammed a fists into the side of the crater in frustration. He couldn’t breath because the ship had knocked the breath out of his and his lungs where screaming for air. He was pissed and rightfully so, after all no real man would die at the hands of his own pod right? He was going to die, in a wholly unmanly way and it was because he hadn’t thought about his ships rotation upon approach. He wanted to shout, to yell, to scream, to do anything but he was unable due to his current oxygen deficiency and the inability to refresh his supply as the black slowly set in. There was A small light and Blac began moving slowly closer before losing consciousness completely.

Awaking to the sound of his drill sergeant Sparrow sprang into action, his new sleeping pod left marks on his back as it hadn’t been broken in yet, no worries though, that would be fixed after another week or so. Donning the new type 1 battle armor the Sayian tech’s had just released for the military Blac realized it would need some breaking in too. This was easier to accomplish though as Blac only flexed his muscles, tearing through the thin fabric and exposing his arms to the air to the approving nod of the Sarge. Much better but the pants would need to be worn in regularly.

Suddenly the sound of clothing being torn filled the air of the barracks as his fellow recruits ripped of the arm fabric of their own equipment. Laughing, Blac punched another recruit in the kidney, doubling him over while he tried to don his own armor, as he made his way to stand at the ready next to his comrades. Hand reflexively saluting before taking a blow to the chest that hurt through his armor from the instructor. Sending Blac sprawling on the floor with a broken rib. “If your so strong you don’t need the energy reflective fabric that costs 500 Zenni a suit. Then you also don’t need that rib.” The instructor said in that vastly superior tone they all took when dealing with fresh recruits.

It was to be expected though since a recruit could never be sure what would piss off the instructors, so no doubt that wouldn’t be the last time Sparrow would obtain a broken rib. Though it would certainly make his training harder than normal for a week or so. Today’s training would center around the basics of melee combat. Each Recruit would be pitted against 3 Saibamen set to minimum aggression and told to defeat them, without using a single ki attack.

“Now when we say aggression we really mean power level since a Saibaman‘s power level at birth is dependent upon how much ki and aggression they are exposed to before they are hatched.” The Drill Sergeant said in an off handed voice before sighing and pointing to the recruit whose sleeping pod lay right next to Blac’s. His reaction to being chosen first was to try and show off a bit by releasing his aura which flickered weakly since they had only had basic ki control. It was still really impressive since Sparrow and most other’s couldn’t control their own aura’s. Every time Blac had started so far he would almost have a bowel movement from the over concentration required to get it right. His neon green would spin awkwardly before dropping and leaving Sparrow feeling sick to his stomach. But word is once you get it down it’s like second nature to you.

Scoffing at the recruits show of weak power from the green recruit still wet behind the ears. The Instructor grew a deep smile before mumbling something unclear to himself and raising his tone. “Very well! Someone as strong as yourself should surely be able to take on at lest 5 slightly more aggressive Saibamen right?” The recruit paled a bit and tried to drop his aura but Sparrow stepped up behind him and gave him a nudge forward, which he didn’t see coming, and sent him sprawling on the floor at the instructors feet.

Moments later the recruit was in “the pit” while the instructor floated above digging in his pockets. He pulled out 5 Saiba seeds and feeding them ki from his aura for about a minute before dispersing them around the trainee. He panicked as they slowly rose from the ground and charged at the first one punching it square in the face sending it sprawling. He got some serious confidence from that and immediately charged a second not taking into account the first one getting back up looking completely undamaged. He was confident though and puffing out his aura he charged them one after another.

Gurren Dan's pillar of manly
This continued for about 10 minutes before he started to wonder why none of them where staying down, after another 30 minutes he started breathing heavy and was having a harder time keeping the Saiba men away. And after 3 more minutes he paused after batting one across the pit only to be grabbed by a second Saiba man, and then a third, and so on until they all grabbed him and started ripping off his limbs while he was still alive. Darkness blurred his vision and Sparrow blacked out to the sound of his instructors laugh.

He woke up to one of the women in his brigade shaking him. “Hurry up or Sarge will be real pissed at you Blac.” She said sounding slightly worried for him. Almost as soon as the last word left her lips however did she find herself across the room. After a few years serving in the Sayian military Blac was extremely weary to the women on the attack force. They had a tendency to try and sleep with as many people as possible once they are finally assigned to their attack squadron so they can get pregnant and avoid their duties. Because, none could speak against a pregnant woman who could be carrying the next Bardock in her womb.

Also, due to a Sayian law that was passed behind the kings back by the queen, women who found themselves pregnant where also granted all the royalties they would normally receive while in active service, thus they avoid all real work until the child is born and had it’s power level tested. So the aura boosted back-hand was well deserved in Blac’s mind as he rose from his now form fit sleeping pod and adorned his now tried and true Sayian battle armor. More recent models had come out but he was kind of attached to his and where he could take one of the new sets for himself he’d rather just have his upgraded, which he would have to pay for out of his own pocket.

After the mandatory assemble and salute, his squadron was moved to the “the pit” for the daily training session. Sparrow witnessed a number of green recruits bloodied up by their first encounter with the Saibamen and one clutching what should have been his left shoulder and was now nothing more than a bloody nub. It brought a grin and memories of Blac’s first day in training, while reminiscing a Sayian dressed in full royal regalia marched up escorted by 4 members of the royal guard. Sparrow knew what was going on since that particular group was seen often enough in the war sector recruiting for the royal guard. So that meant someone in his squadron had been chosen to serve. “sucks for them,” was the only thing Blac had rolling through his mind and he bet he knew who it was that had been sent for.

One soldier stuck out to Blac in his squad and that was Resha, she was the only one who had been able to make it through the 5 power supplemented Saiba coarse besides himself as a trainee. And she was always the prim and proper kind too always stressing etiquette and she knew it too. Even as the Sarge turned to face them she snapped to attention and stepped forward to accept the calling. But a moment later she was 15 feet backwards unconscious while the Sarge’s hand was outstretched. He then turned to Blac and held the paper towards him. Moving forward Sparrow grabbed the paper and his vision blackened once more.

He felt strange like his body was suspended ina lake only it was also very warm. Opening his eyes Blac found himself in a tube filled with a yellow light and a breathing apparatus around his mouth. A team of human scientists staring at him through the glass one of them noticing his now opened eyes picked up a phone and began talking excitedly. Blac tried to shout but realized that he couldn’t without inhaling the water. So instead he stuck out a hand and sent glass fragments flying at a group of scientists who were staring at their monitors instead of him like they should have been.

He then powered up his spiraling aura destroying the glass tube he was now standing in. and sending it flying about the room like deadly shrapnel before taking a deep breath of fresh delicious air and shouting.

“OI, OI, OI! THE SPARROW IS NO TEST CREATURE TO BE KEPT IN A TUBE FOR PROBING!”

“You seem to have to wrong idea my friend, we were attempting to heal you so that we might solicit your services.”

Came a voice from behind him. Sparrow turned around to see a man in a black suit with green inlay’s and golden cuffs, with large round shades. His hands folded behind his back he stepped over the corpse of a scientist who, unlucky for him, took a glass shard to the temple.

“We need you to protect a prototype mech for transportation to another facility. In exchange we will grant you a small sum of Zenni and a card that will grant you a discount in all branches of C.C. Corp on the planet Earth.”

It was a good deal to Sparrow so naturally he agreed. Blac flew behind the huge plane baring the large mech in it’s cargo area. After intense manly aerial combat, during which Sparrow hallucinated and imagined Kaji manning a mech similar to the one’s Blac was guarding standing on a plane to Sparrow’s right. Upon final approach Blac flew to the front of the plane and stood there pointing down at his money while he slowly descended to the ground. He stood menacingly over the rotund “Watson-esque” figure standing next to a brief case filled with, what Blac assumed, was his pay. He then took his money and exchanged a knuckle beat with the guy behind him without looking before flying off.
