Alignment: 48% Good History: Throughout her childhood, Reina had never been interested in fighting. She’d been raised in a world where the mind could bring so much more satisfaction than smashing some other man’s face in until he was bloody and bruised. Despite her father’s greatest protests, Reina’s mother had won the battle as to what their daughter would accomplish in life, so at an early age, Reina’s mother, Mahary, began to tutor her with all the greatest knowledge their world and worlds around them could offer. Reina learned science, enjoyed math, even literature, but her passion followed her mother’s into the field of weaponry and robotics. Mahary was a brilliant scientist in these fields and had spent her time creating many interesting and deadly things for her people, for their king, and Reina wanted nothing more than to be a part of it herself.As a young girl, Reina had very few friends as she spent most of her time with her mother in teaching but she had been lucky enough to befriend a young Saiyan boy named Biito, whose family though lower class than her own she liked very much. Mahary had never seen a problem with Reina spending time with children beneath their stature in society, however her father, Biddik would have nothing of it. On many occasions the man went many great leaps to keep the children from playing, but Reina would often sneak out to see her friends, seeing them as people, never understanding why she was forced away from them. At the tender age of 12, a project gone awry was destroyed in a massive explosion that destroyed almost the entirety of Mahary’s lab, ending her life and mangling Reina’s entire left arm. Her arm was not salvageable and Reina had to learn to live without the appendage. Suffering the loss of her mother, Reina’s father stepped in and against Reina’s wishes began teaching her to fight despite her crippling handicap. Fueled by grief Reina struggled for many years to accomplish an almost impossible task, guided by the stern hand of her father, an Elite Guard in their King’s great army. Though injured, Reina learned very quickly and climbed with great leaps in strength and power despite the loss of her arm. Biddik spent many years honing her to be more powerful, and from his faith in her brewed her own determination. With a little help from her friend Awry, the older woman who’d looked after her as a baby, Reina crafted a completely unique bionic arm that she expertly fused to her body taking the place of the flesh and bone she’d lost so many years ago. Her training continued and with the added strength the machine gave her, she soon stood eye to eye with her father by the means of physical prowess. Several years later, after nearly 14 years of training Reina emerged a new person all together and in a last minute decision, opted to join a planet wide tournament featuring the grand prize as a place on the kings Royal Guard, an opportunity Reina would not have given up lightly. Pleasantly upon arriving she was reunited with her childhood friend Biito, who over the years had become a very powerful man. They entered together with the plan to leave the planet, something they had grown up only dreaming about. However the terms on which they left were not as she would have liked them. Biito and Reina had faired well in the tournament making it all the way to the finals. Before the final round was to commence, the Prince himself had come to speak before the crowd of people who had come to watch the matches. However, when the Prince insulted Biito’s mother and class the hot headed Saiyan attacked him, earning Biito a severe punishment, the loss of his tail, and the death penalty. His execution was to commence in a few days. A clever plan was devised by Reina and the next night she snuck into the holding cells and helped the man escape his fate. However in their escape they were discovered and attack, the result ending in the second violent loss of Reina’s arm. Barely escaping, the two acquired two Saiyan pods and sets of armor before escaping into the great expanse of space. After crash landing sometime later on Yardrat, Reina went right to work piecing back together her arm with the help of several Yardratians who graciously shared their knowledge, helping her improve her arm and even creating a synthetic skin to cover the metal making it look completely ordinary. Now Reina greatly shares in the knowledge of the Yardratians, taking in what they have to offer her, and further training herself. King Vegeta's Royal Seal [EQUIPPED to Saiyan Battle Armor] Inventory Slots: 0 Description: The royal family crest of the Vegeta lineage, it is worn solely by the monarchy with a single exception. In times of war, the seal is granted to soldiers in service to the royal family as a badge of honor. The upper portion of the royal family's crest is cleaved into three sections like a trident. Where the three points join, they merge into one line that is stop-start, like the staff bit is made out of a series of hyphens or dashes. The lowest part of the coat of arms is an upwards curving two-pointed staff, making the heraldic device look like it's smiling. Effect: Attach to an EQUIPPABLE item with 'Armor' in the title.. Easter Egg [000z] Inventory Slots: 0 Description: Easter eggs are specially decorated eggs given to celebrate the Easter holiday or springtime. Apparently, the Easter bunny left you a present. Show them the bonecrushing might of Midorikatai and they will think twice before choosing to meet you on the field of battle again. Effect: Your attacks with 'BREAK!' in the effect do +(10% Power) Damage. Your attacks with 'BREAK!' in the effect no longer have to be 'SUCCESSFUL to gain the effect. Requirements: You must know at least three (3) Midorikatai attacks and/or skills. Skills [0 Slots] Bukujutsu Description: The ability to use one's own Ki to fly. Effect: The user can now fly in battle. Bukujutsu is a requirement to learn certain moves. This does not take up one of your Skill slots. If your opponent doesn't have Bukujutsu in their moveset, you gain +5 dice sides against them. Requirements: N/A Instant Transmission Description: The user dematerializes and moves as a mass of light, disappearing from view at an incredible speed. From that point, they can lock onto a Ki signature and materialize near it. Effect: Once per week, you can Instant Transmission yourself to another planet. You cannot use Instant Transmission to teleport you to another planet 2 weeks in a row. In the event that the planet you are is destroyed, you may use Instant Transmission to take you to another planet (regardless if you used it the week before). Instant Transmission is a requirement to learn certain moves. Requirements: N/A Energy Gorged Description: The average being tends to function well when not under intense amounts of pressure. Almost like being well rested, the user can do more damage when their energy isn’t drained. Effect: CONSTANT - Your attacks do +(10% Power) damage. At the start of combat, you may activate this Skill. If deactivated, this skill cannot be reactivated. Costs 1 Ki Point. Requirements: N/A Not Over Till It's Over! Description: Failure is not in your vocabulary. Just because you have botched one attempt does not mean the end is near; that is what separates you from the other fighters. Persistence and the love of carnage guarantee's that even on your worst day you are far better than anyone else on their best. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Use before your attack roll. You may forget an attack to double the result of an attack roll with an Advanced Attack. If you CRITICAL with that attack, it cannot exceed (80% Power) Damage. You cannot SEVER with that roll. Costs 1 KI Point. Requirements: N/A Piccolo's Mentorship Description: Piccolo, once a great villain, had become an amazing ally in the fight against evil. As time progressed, he transformed himself and took on more of a mentor personality. The Namek passed his knowledge onto his students and was willing to sacrifice himself for them, sometime you were willing to do after watching him do the same. Effect: CONSTANT - TRAIT. Activate at the start of combat. Your Allies gain +3 to their dice results. Once per combat, you may prevent all damage from an attack directed at an Ally. If you do, you lose (50% of the Attack's Damage) HP. If de-activated, you may forget an Advanced Attack at any time in combat to activate this Skill. This Skill cannot be activated by any other means. You cannot have more than one Skill with "TRAIT" in the effect in your moveset at a time. Kaio-ken Description: The Kaio-ken is a technique that multiplies the user's ki for a "heart beat", enabling them to inflict serious damage to foes who are considerably stronger than them. The red aura of Kaio-ken completely tints the user a similar share. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Your next Advanced Attack does double the base damage. Two sparking blasts emerge from the palms and form one large orb along the path to the opponent. Upon impact, most people have reported feeling bruised bones. Effect: Energy attack doing (35% Power) Damage. If you performed this attack on your first turn, this attack gains "SUCCESSFUL - BREAK". For the remainder of combat, this attack gains "SUCCESSFUL - The next attack you perform with BREAK in the effect has BREAKx2 in the effect instead". Costs 1 KI Point. Requirements: N/A Base Cost 2 Armbreaker [PHYSICAL, HOLD] Description: By cinching the wrist, the user bends the opponent's arm in an unnatural way before driving their elbow directly into the arm repeatedly. Effect: Physical attack doing (50% Power) Damage. SUCCESSFUL - If your attack roll is 28 or higher, this attack gains 'BREAK!'. Costs 2 Ki Points. Requirements: N/A Trapping Headbutts [PHYSICAL, HOLD] Description: By underhooking the opponent's arms, the user keeps them trapped in place before raining down brutal headbutts on the opponent. Effect: Physical attack doing (20% Power) Damage per hit. Your attack roll is 3d30 for this attack. If two or more of the attacks are successful, choose a Skill with a 'CONSTANT' effect. The skill is now deactivated. Costs 2 Ki Points. Requirements: N/A Base Cost 3 Megaton Cannon [ENERGY, BLAST] Description: Taking a rooted stance with their hands engulfed in energy, the energy surges through either appendage until meeting in the center of the user's chest before firing. The explosion from this blast is said to be so great it can send a foe flying for miles. Effect: Energy attack doing (70% Power) Damage. You cannot use a physical attack on your next 2 turns. Costs 3 KI Points. Requirements: N/A Base Cost 4 Spine Buster [PHYSICAL, THROW] Description: Grabbing the opponent in a belly-to-belly waistlock, they are then lifted as the user pivots 180 degrees and drives them to the ground back-first. Effect: Physical attack doing (60% Power) Damage. SUCCESSFUL - If you perform an attack with a 'BREAK' effect on your next turn, you only have to roll a 22 or higher on that attack to gain the effect (and meet all other requirements). Costs 4 Ki Points. Requirements: N/A Blocks [1 Slot] C-C-C-Combo Breaker! Description: In combat it's all about stopping your opponent in his tracks and breaking them to your will. The user takes a stance against her opponent and becomes an inpenetrable force strong enough to shatter bones. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Stop any type of attack. Your next two attacks that can BREAK the opponent gain +3 to the result. Costs X-1 KI Points Requirements: N/A Signature Techniques [0 Slots] Falling Star Charge [ENERGY, BLAST] Description: The use flies miles into the sky, glowing with the faint yellow charge of pure energy. The user eventually ascends so high, they become a tiny spec in the sky, often mistaken for a star. The 'twinkling star' effect comes from the massive cocoon of energy they wrap themselves in. Crashing down to earth at back-braking speeds, they eventually collide with the opponent and cause a thunderous explosion upon impact. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Energy attack doing (110% Power) Damage. If your attack roll is 20 or higher, BREAK x3. SUCCESSFUL - Your next 3 physical attacks costs no Ki Points to perform. Costs 10 KI Points. Requirements: N/A Big Bang Attack [ENERGY, BLAST] Description: The user takes to the air before aiming their palm at the opponent at a 90 degree angle. A large white or yellow sphere of energy is then shot at the opponent, looking somewhat like a comet as it sails through the air. Upon impact, it always makes an enormous explosion and creates a crater, as well as mushroom cloud-like effect. Effect: RESTRICTED x1. Energy attack doing (130% Power) Damage. If your Power is higher than your opponent's Power, your opponent's defensive roll for this attack is 1d25. Costs 8 KI Points. Requirements: N/A Extra Techniques Give Me Energy! Description: Aiming their hands towards the sky, the user shouts 'Share your energy with me!', beckoning every living thing to donate energy to the Spirit Bomb. While doing so, the person is vulnerable to attack. Effect: Spirit Bomb's power is enhanced with each usage of this Skill. Any effects preventing your opponent from attacking you end when you use this Skill. Costs 0 KI Points. Requirements: N/A Gohan's Hidden Power Description: Amazed by Gohan and his ability to break through Guldo's perfected Time Freeze ability, you become more aware of a hidden power lurking deep within you. All it takes is the right motivation to set it free. Effect: CONSTANT - TRAIT. Activate at the start of combat. Your Advanced Attacks cannot be STOPPED by defensive rolls of 4 or less. Your attacks do +(5% Power) Damage. If de-activated, you may forget an Advanced Attack at any time in combat to activate this Skill. This Skill cannot be activated by any other means.
