Character's Name: Mikeu Please include a image: ![]() Character's Race: Human [+5 Sta,+5 Ki,+9 MP ] [Quick wit, Common Language, +6 Mps [figured into points already]] [Quick wit (1 dodge in battle), Common Language +6 Mps (able to learn quickly)] Character's Gender: Male Character's starting planet: Earth How did you find us?: Google Search Sample RP, 300 words long: Character's Biography (optional): History: Mikeu was born to an average family. So he thought, as a small child he found his family was talented in using Ki while others had a good knowledge of it. The entire neighborhood he was in did the same thing. This in itself caused him to grow curious of martial arts. He began to train himself at around 6 years of age along with normal schooling and play. One day around the time he was finally 13 Mikeu stumbled upon a fight where he witnessed several fighters fighting and trying to keep some other figures he saw from destroying the area. He became so amazed and entranced with what he saw that he knew what his goal was going to be. He had heard of these tournaments that folks with these powers would enter. He of course knew it was Ki and when he got home that day he began to put more of his training in to learning techniques like the ones he saw, focusing his energy to do those special things. Mikeu of course never learned how to fly, but he did learn how to use his Ki to allow him to move about at very fast speeds, making it appear like he would vanish and appear in another spot, this became his emphasis. Speed was his thing and he trained his body to be able to last long in a fight, of course he had to not get hit either so he also began to train in many defensive techniques. At the age of 18, Mikeu finally headed off to College, but took an abroad course and began to train himself in different styles of martial arts. He then focused these styles into his techniques and began to use his speed in conjunction with these styles. One thing he did do was to mix these styles into one another to use them in a sense to confuse his opponents. At the end of all this training he finally put his head into his studies and managed to finish with a degree in Journalism. Though before graduating, Mikeu did find himself in rather interesting locations. When Mikeu was in Hawai'i, he learned Kapu Ku'ialua or Lua. The master who taught him showed him the basics of this ancient Hawaiian martial art of bone breaking, emphasizing joint locks, throws, pressure point manipulation, strikes, usage of various weapons, battlefield strategy. Basically many of the techniques are designed to break the neck, arms, wrists and other appendages. After learning in Hawai'i, Mikeu traveled to China Mikeu went back to the States to learn Bojuka, which the sensei showed him the basic methods. He learned simple techniques using common gross motor skills that are maintained under stressful conditions. Bojuka teaches threat elimination through awareness, avoidance, and the reasonable use of force. The Bojuka Self Defense System includes blocks, body movement, grappling, joint manipulation and strikes to vital points of the body and central nervous system, meaning that the techniques are designed to become muscle memory and function in a variety of different assault scenarios. He then traveled to South Korea, where Mikeu also picked up on Hoi Jeon Moo Sool, a style of martial arts that uses circular motions in order to direct an opponent's power against them. After the time he spent in Korea, Mikeu headed to India to learn from another master who taught him basics of Varma Ati. Varma Ati is a Tamil martial art based on attacking sensitive pressure points of the human body. The Sushruta Samhita identifies and defines 107 vital points of the human body. Of these 107 points, 64 were classified as being lethal if properly struck with a fist or stick. Varma ati recognizes 108 marmas, 12 Padu marmas (death marmas) and 96 Thodu marmas (touch marmas). There are also counter marmas to heal trauma to the marmas. This was by far Mikeu's more challengeing style learned. He had to memorize the six categories of marmam points which were: Maasa Marma (on the skin/muscles), Asthi Marma (at bones), Snayu Marma (at the nerves), Dhamani Marma (at arteries), Sandhi Marma (at the joints) and Shira Marma (at the veins). Once Mikeu completed that training he returned to China once again to learn Ba Fa, though more commonly referred to as Water Boxing. The Six Harmonies and the Eight Methods are the guiding principles of Liuhebafa that give it its name. These 6 were the following: Body and Mind combine, Mind and Intent combine, Intent and Ki combine, Ki and Spirit combine, Spirit and Movement combine and Movement and Emptiness combine. The 8 were the following: Ki, Bone, Shape, Follow, Rise, Return, Retain and Conceal. This was where he began to learn his Ki control. By this time Mikeu had fallen behind on his schooling yet was still intent on learning new styles of combat. The next form he studied was Zi ran Men. This form follows a philosophy of there is no beginning or end to the movement (implying both physical action and progress). Change is a constant and varying. Use softness as hard power, and if applied successfully and true power comes naturally. Finally Mikeu made his way to Japan and began to learn Iaijutsu which is the art of mental presence and immediate reaction; Ninjutsu which includes methods of gathering information and techniques of non-detection, avoidance, and misdirection; Ninjutsu can also involve training in disguise, escape, concealment, archery, medicine, explosives, and poisons. Once Mikeu finished with these travels he headed back for school to finish his studies. One thing he did learn form all his masters was the same thing over and over. It was to basically if you are forced into battle, you must be willing to go to the full extent, do not hold back and do not falter. You must fight fierce and quickly to end the combat, too long and you waste time and energy. Too slowly and you wind up allowing your opponent to gain the upper hand. There must be a balance, and never, under any circumstances should you kill your opponent. Show them the compassion you have within and show them the path that leads to a life without hate and war. Only if they refuse to change and continue attacking, then you must put an end to the senseless violence with whatever means. At the age of 24 Mikeu finally enters his first tournament and manages to fight his way all the way to the finals, but with no luck of seeing any of those warriors he saw that day. With this disappointment, his focus was lost and he came short of being the winner, he was the second ranking. Once the tourney ended, Mikeu had been packing to head back home, but then he saw them again. Though what he overheard made him wonder. What on Earth had happened during his travels that he missed? He now had a new goal, to find these warriors and see for himself first hand what or who they were up against. This in itself would eventually lead he hoped to test himself against one of them and also find out which tourney they go to. Now at the age of 26 he wanders around the globe looking for these warriors to see just what they can do. Based on what he saw as a teen, he knew they were powerful, but now he wonders how powerful they are now. During his time training and learning all the styles of combat he did, he also picked up how to read and sense power levels. Though he was good at hiding his own, he's still trying to hone in to perfect how to sense them. He can read them fine, but sensing them is troublesome. Fighting Style: Kapu Kuʻialua, Bojuka, Hoi Jeon Moo Sool, Varma ati, Ba Fa, Zi Ran Men, Iaijutsu, Ninjutsu, Also has a strong emphasis on hitting pressure points. Also has good Ki control. Personality: Mikeu is a rather quiet person. Shy at first, he finally does open up when around friends. He's very protective of those he knows and does not believe in the strongest will win. He will stand his ground and will not back down. He tends to try and out smart his opponent and always goes about using their strength against them. The only time he will ever back down or give in is if he knows that neither side will gain nothing from a confrontation. He's not big on violence and resorts to words first, defense second and offense last. If all else fails he will then attempt to put everything he has into one final blow winner take all finish. Many always under estimate him because of the way he acts, which sometimes for his age is still like a teenager. When he is fighting he always looks for an opening and if you're too close he will use that to strike at points an opponent would not think of blocking or covering up. Finally, if he is protecting a friend or others, he will not use his full potential until he knows those he protects or his friends are in the clear. Further more, he always uses what his masters taught him. If you are forced into battle, you must be willing to go to the full extent, do not hold back and do not falter. He believes in second chances and will provide them, but if you waste it to continue killing and show no retribution, he will counter. |
