Fereldon

Denerim
Denerim is the capital of Ferelden. Denerim was the teyrnir of the king, but since the king's domain is supposed to be all of Ferelden, it has been reduced to an arling. Home of both nobility and the common people. This sprawling city has much to offer the adventurer; with its market place, magic shops, armorers and bordellos. However, one cannot let one's eye rest on a single place for too long, lest a back alley brawler or elf from the Alienage cut one's purse strings... or one's throat.

Redcliffe
Sitting on the western shore of Lake Calenhad, the village of Redcliffe is so named for the reddish hues of the cliffs that tower above the village. A path leads from the village into the hills and across a bridge to an island where the ancient Castle Redcliffe has stood far longer than the village itself.

Regular Forum The Brecillian Forest
The Brecillian Forest is home to many such as the Dalish Elves, the werewolves and the Sylvans. The forest itself is very old and dangerous. With a hunger for quest it has led many adventurers to their doom, they found in the ruins. Others fell to their death by trespassing inside the forest without the permission of the Elder, the leader of the Dalish Elves. They are at war with the werewolves who are protected by Witherfang. Be careful of your footsteps when you enter this region.

The Circle Tower
Located in the middle of Lake Calenhad, this tower is home to the Circle of Magi. This is where Mage Apprentices go to learn how to become proper mages. It is here that they learn various spells, as well as how to deal with demons who might try to take control of the mages body, to prevent Abominations. A hamlet on the lake shore operates a ferry to the tower, but visitors are few and far between. Most who come to the Circle Tower now come either to learn magic or to warily watch over those who would learn.

Ostagar
Representing the furthest point of encroachment by the ancient Tevinter Imperium into the barbarian lands of the southeast, the fortress of Ostagar was once one of the most important defensive Imperial holdings south of the Waking Sea. It stood at the edge of the Korcari Wilds and watched for any signs of invasion. Now it lays in ruins after the King's third and final battle with the Darkspawn, who still lurk around here.

The Korcari Wilds
The Korcari Wilds are a cold southern expanse of forests whose extent is not truly known. The Chasind Wilders, who live within, say that a wasteland of snow and ice waits further to the south, filled only with desolate tundra and nomadic barbarians. These forests are home to the legendary "Witch of the Wilds," Flemeth and her daughters. Long ago, when werewolves terrorized the country, a great arl ventured into the Wilds killing every wolf he could find, werewolf or not. A great werewolf grew enraged at the slaughter and used the blade that stabbed his mate to stab his own heart. A great mist seeped forth from his mortal wound surrounding the entire Wilds. It was so dense that the arl and his soldiers were lost inside forever.

Regular Forum Lothering
Historically, Lothering was little more than a trading post serving the fortress of Ostagar to the south. In present times, however, it supplies goods to Redcliffe Village and the community of merchants and surface dwarves outside of Orzammar. It has recently become the home of many refugees escaping the darkspawn horde approaching from the Korcari Wilds. Either as a result of the current turmoil or religious duty, Lothering has a modest presence of the Chantry and their Templars.

Orzammar
The lands controlled by the dwarves were once numerous and extended far beyond the Frostback Mountains. Once Orzammar was simply home to the Miner and Smith castes. It was with the coming of the Tevinter Imperium that things began to change. Paragon Garal moved the seat of power from Kal-Sharok to Orzammar to more closely oversee the trade that began with the surface. It seemed the dwarves were now in a new age of prosperity. However the city is now divided due to a dispute between Prince Bhelen Aeducan and Lord Pyral Harrowmont over who will be crowned the next King. And with the coming of the Dark Spawn invading the Deep Roads only new problems are rising and who is to tell when this city will fall apart.

Village of Haven
Haven is not marked on most maps and is widely unheard of. Privacy is very important to the villagers of Haven and they do not welcome strangers kindly. While traditions in larger, less remote and more welcoming parts of Ferelden grew and evolved over time, Haven's intense privacy concerns means that they practice older traditions, specifically religious ones, that now seem strange to outsiders. For example, they have a male priest. In ages gone by, this would not have been remarkable but now is considered a very unique practice.

Password Protected Forum The Ruined Temple
The ruined temple is an old run down temple of Andraste herself. Despite the initial ice damage and ruptured floor tiles most of the inner parts remain intact even after the considerable number years of her death. The temple used to be a place for Andraste followers to pray to their beloved god, however it has been taken over by cultist followers since her demise. The temple expands throughout some caverns which leads up to the mountain top. According to rumor it houses one of the most vile high dragons only known in myth.
