The Senate and the Concilium Plebis are the Political Houses of the Roman Republic, in these houses the Republic is able to carry out all State functions which allowed Rome to expand it borders throughout Europe and into Africa and Asia. However within these houses many different Etiquettes were setup to keep the political houses from turning into an impossibility to control and maintain. Within the Senate there were several guidelines which must be followed during this game: 1. Only the Princeps Senatus can open topics for debates, if you wish to bring a topic into the Senate and you aren't the Princeps Senatus, then you must ask him to bring your topic into the Senate for Debate. Failure to do this can mean your removal from the Senate by the Censors. 2. Each Debate opened by the Princeps Senatus will be left open for 48 Hours after it is opened, there will be no exceptions to this unless stated by the Princeps Senatus himself. After 48 Hours a Vote will be had, which will last another 24 Hours. Votes will be tallied by simply posting 'Yea' or 'Nay'. Afterwards the votes will be tallied and the act or decision passed or thrown out. 3. It is customary that the Consuls always begin the debate by giving their opinions upon a peticular topic brought into discussion by the Princeps Senatus. Within the Comitia Tributa and the Concilium Plebis there were several guidelines which must be followed during this game: 1. Only the Tribunes of the Plebs can introduce legislation into either the Comitia Tributa or the Concilium Plebis. Individuals wishing to introduce legislation will be required to obtain the willingness of one of the Tribunes to do so. Multiple legislation can be introduced at any given time. Once introduced legislation can be vetoed by the Tribunes of the Plebs at any time. 2. There won't be any debate on any legislation in the Comitia Tributa or the Concilium Plebis. Due to the cumbersome system of voting, debate is impossible on legislation and once introduced, voting will commence immediately and will be open for a period of 48 hours. Multiple legislation can be voted upon at any given time. Voting for Positions within the Senate Princeps Senatus: Chosen by the newly elected Censors.
