Name: Steven Allen Palmer
Age: 19 (Born on October 5th)
Hometown: Cianwood, Johto
Occupation: An aspiring explorer arriving to Cryto to perhaps unearth and help recover artifacts lost during the war.

Description:
~ Hair Color: Mousy, light brownish or dark blondish hair. His hair is very fine, but there's a LOT of it, meaning it sorta falls on his head in a flat mop-top cut. And it doesn't help that he doesn't care for it much, save for an occasional shampoo wash. However, he is VERY fastidious about shaving, and is often mortified when even the slightest sign of a 5-o-clock shadow appears on his face.
~ Eye Color: They look hazel, when they're naturally more of a greenish blue (gray-blue with yellow inner ring).
~ Physical Description: Pasty white skin with large lips. 5'9", but looks taller because of his extremely slender frame (135lbs, give or take). While he looks like he wouldn't be able to tear a wet tissue, he's very nimble, being able to run fast or climb trees when his fight-or-flight response has been activated. Other times, he's fairly clumsy and doesn't have the best posture, often walking with his head tucked down and his hands in his shirtpockets.
~ Attire: He wears pretty much the same clothing all the time, only really washing it until it gets muddy or sweaty or until people tell him he smells. On top, he wears a tight, dark brown zip-up cardigan with a hood and front pockets for his hands--it is almost ALWAYS zipped all the way up, never down. On the bottom, he wears orange cargo pants, which are always filled with small snacks or items that he needs to get out on-the-go. Under his cardigan is a gray wife beater undershirt. He pretty much sleeps in this and a pair of pokeball-adorned boxer shorts.
~ Items: He carries with him many items, such as a pocket-sized swiss army knife, pokeballs, maps, etcetera. He may occasionally forget one of these out of absent-mindedness, but you will NEVER find him without a can of Red Tauros; he absolutely adores it like a Magikarp loves water.

Personality: On the outside, Steve seems like a quiet and sensitive guy. He tries to avoid making small-talk with strangers and new people, but will often warm up to them quickly. Around girls, especially hot ones, he tends to stammer and stumble over his words.

On the inside, however, his mind won't shut up--a constant internal monologue of his jaded views on life, constantly reminding himself of his weaknesses and coming to terms with the fact that he's a wimp. However, being an adolescent male and therefore brimming with testosterone, he will express his annoyance and even get angry if pushed too far. He will often yell at those that press his right buttons, even if he is their subordinate, which can often get him into trouble. Another thing you have to watch out for is Steve's tendency to fumble under even the smallest amounts of pressure, even if his intentions are good. When faced with danger, he tends to panic to a near-hysterical degree, often to comedic results.

He likes being both indoors and outdoors, and will often flipflop between outdoorsman and couch potato over the span of a few months or weeks. When outdoors, he likes to walk, climb trees and take a hike. Despite this, he's a bit of a klutz, constantly tripping over thin air, running into things and accidentally punching himself (Don't ask...) Indoors, he likes to channel-surf and catch movies that are on TV. He has a fair knowledge of Pokemon, due to his interest in them while growing up, and effectively identifying each species he encounters. However, he is less familiar with Pokemon from Sinnohan/Isshuian/Crytotian, and may not recognize some of the more obscure breeds. He also has a great knowledge of history, both natural and social; he likes to imagine what a landscape before him used to look like over the past centuries and milleniae, searching for artifacts that time left behind.

Biography/History: Steve has a bit of a complicated a family; his mother was very young when she gave birth to him and his older brother, Bob, and ended up raising them through most of their childhood as a single mom. Eventually, she got into a serious and long-lasting relationship with a guy named Jude, and was able to help raise Steve and Bob to early manhood.

Steve always wanted to grow up to be a Pokemon Trainer/Archaeologist. While he was interested greatly in Pokemon for as long as he can remember, his fascination with Archaeology began when he saw "Raiders of the Lost Dolarks" when he was eight. For a while, the film frightened him out of his mind, but he eventually grew to admire and aspire to the intrepid hero of the film series, Kanto Jones. Consequently, his favorite genre of film and videogame have to do with mystery and exploration. Upon growing older, he discovered that archaeology wasn't all about running through caves, solving puzzles and fighting off Team Rocket... At age 12, he turned to his previous dream career, Pokemon Training--a decision that would forever change his life.

His first Pokemon was Morgen, a one-eyed Mightyena whom he befriended and captured when he became lost in the sprawling savannahs of the Safari Zone. His only other Pokemon was a Steelix, Ozzy--Steve had extricated a Golbat wedged between his segments, and Ozzy consequently joined his party by aiding him battle when ambushed by a pair of Trainers.

Steve hurried home to brag about his new partners to his family, taking a small sabbatical from his hard day. But before he could resume his career in Training, his family was hit with bad news. A demonstration had broken out in Cryto, specifically in a neighborhood where an old friend of his mother's, Sam, resided. There was a bit of violence involved, and many people were missing; Sam was one of them. At that moment, Steve realized just how important Cryto's conflict was, and how many people and treasures had been lost or missing. He took on again his goal of becoming an archaelogist, obsessing and studying over lost history, and then eventually got around to studying abroad in Cryto itself.

He plans to meet his professor on Capo beach, to learn as much as he can from a native himself before he sets out on his goal of discovery...

POKéMON:
Nickname: Morgen
Species: Mightyena
Gender: Female
Nature: Sassy
Personality: Very belligerent, though she prefers to bark snide and demeaning comments at the enemy from afar. She and Steve go back a fairly long way, and has a relationship to Steve very much like an older sister or friend. She isn't afraid to tell Steve what she really thinks of a situation, and consequently has problems knowing when to keep her mouth shut.
Level: 33
Attacks: Bark Out, Taunt, Swagger, Fire Fang, Roar, Bite
Pokéball: Safari Ball

Nickname: Ozzy
Species: Steelix
Gender: Male
Nature: Serious
Personality: Being as solemn as a grenadier guard, he will rarely, if ever, show weakness in the face of adversity. However, underneath that big exterior, he's a big ol' softy, and has very expressive eyes. While he's not stupid, he's a bit...slow at times, and often shows bewilderment when given complex commands.
Level: 33
Attacks: Gyro Ball, Iron Tail, Earthquake, Dragonbreath, Dig, Mud Sport
Pokéball: Heavy Ball
