BURNSIDE, KY (April 21, 2009)—A newly formed division will hit the track this Saturday Night April 25 at the Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY.

Along with the five Weekly Racing Series divisions, the Kentucky Pro Late Models will debut this Saturday for their first-time ever at the 29 year old facility. The Super Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Super Dirt Stocks, Chevettes and Front Wheel Drive class will also compete this weekend. This will be the first points racing event for the Weekly Racing Series starting this Saturday night.

The new KY Pro Late Model class will run in conjunction with the Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY and their already formed Prom Late Model division which competes on Friday Nights. The Lake Cumberland Speedway will utilize the Ponderosa Speedway Pro Late Model rule-book and will have the updated rules posted on the LC Speedway website shortly. Until then, please go to www.ponderosapeedway.net for further information on the rules package. The KY Pro Late Models will have a complete show featuring practice, time trials, heat races and an A-Main event.

This Saturday Night the KY Pro Late Models will pay $400.00 to win with nine or less cars in attendance and with 10 or more cars the $500.00 to win purse will be utilized. The standard pay format, which is the same as the Ponderosa Speedway, will be used starting this Saturday with 10 or more cars.
