Posts: 18 Group: Members Member #4 Joined: Oct 27, 2008	Steve Casebolt Jr. Shows the Way in 29th Anniversary Special at Lake Cumberland By Chris Tilley CONTACT: (606) 219-1723 or tilleyracing@hotmail.com BURNSIDE, KY (April 5, 2009)—Steve Casebolt Jr. of Richmond, Indiana took advantage from a night off the busy Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Schedule to stop in at the Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY to post his first-career win at the 3/8th’s mile oval facility. Casebolt’s win came while driving the Dixie Chopper, Fatheadz Sunglasses & Apparel, Arizona Sport Shirts, Sunoco Race Fuels, American Race Tires, and Allstar Performance sponsored Cornett Racing Engines powered Rocket Chassis. This was Casebolt’s first visit to the Speedway since November 2002 and it paid off with the $2,009 victory in the track’s 29th Anniversary Late Model special event. Other divisional winners included Victor Lee of Stanford, KY in the Modifieds, Goble Bertram of Monticello, KY in the Super Dirt Stocks, Shane Irvin in the Chevettes and Cameran Marlar in the Front Wheel Drive main event. Casebolt would lead from the drop of Noel Hargis’ green flag in the 29-lap main event with Dustin Linville in hot pursuit. By the 11th circuit, Mike Marlar would get around Linville for the second spot and hold it until the end. Casebolt rolled to the win leading all laps over Marlar, Linville, Tommy Bailey and Wayne Chinn. The Lake Cumberland Speedway will return to Saturday Night racing this weekend Saturday April 11, 2009 with a full-slate of Super Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Super Dirt Stocks, Chevettes and Front Wheel Drives all racing during the weekly program.
