Bluegrass Speedway 2221 New Haven Road Bardstown, KY 40004 2009 Media Release #2 (For Immediate Distribution- March 1, 2009) Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Bluegrass Speedway on SPEED on Saturday March 7 Bardstown, KY-March 1, 2009- The firebreathing Dirt Late Model warriors of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will be on SPEED TV on Saturday evening March 7 at 7:30 p.m. EDT. The event that will be broadcast will be the 8th Annual Bluegrass Classic from the David and Anita Ferrell promoted Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY. The event was taped back on August 23, 2008 and drew 48 entries, with Jimmy Owens of Newport, TN stopping Scott Bloomquist's win streak at three in this event by winning over Bloomquist, Darren Miller, Earl Pearson, Jr. and Michael England. The 2009 racing season at Bluegrass Speedway will begin with an open practice on Saturday April 11, with the clay slinging action getting underway on the newly reclayed 1/2 mile high-banked track surface on Saturday April 18. The 9th Annual Bluegrass Classic will be on August 29 and will once again be sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and will again be taped by SPEED for later broadcast. Bluegrass Speedway is located at 2221 New Haven Road in Bardstown, KY. The track is promoted by David and Anita Ferrell and dirt track sports entertainment takes place on Saturday evenings from mid-April through September.
