Searching For Terra in Cluster: 17 System Name: Ceti Clan Wolf ships pop into the Ceti system to search for Terra. They had just passed through Masri after an encounter with The Masri Federated Commonwealth and Masri Pirates. After the encounter The Clan Wolf ship the C.W.S. Dire Wolf salvaged a intact shield generator and sent it back to Clan Wolf space so they may learn it's secretes and then mass produce it. Oleg Connors of the C.W.S. Dire Wolf stands on the bridge looking through the diamond grafted window into space. Oleg turns around and walks over to his command chair and sits down."Begin searching the system. If we find nothing then we move on." He orders and the other clan Wolf Ships move out to search."Maybe we will get lucky." He says to himself leaning forward. He stares out the window of his ship into space wondering where Terra could be. Each of the clan ship go there own way to maximize chances of finding something. |

Ceti Defense Post Alpha Several ships of unknown origin were quickly spotted by the personnel of Ceti Defense Post Alpha as they entered into Grey territory. Given its location, the defense post was used to the occasional ship or even fleet accidentally entering into Ceti without proper authorization. However, the number of ships in this fleet and their rapid dispersion drew increased attention. As usual, ships were dispatched to intercept the intruders and information was exchanged between the various defense posts in the area as well as Ceti High Command. However, Ceti High Command took the unusual step of raising the alert status of the defense posts from Level 1 to Level 3. Apparently, somebody felt that these ships posed enough of a threat for preparations to begin for a possible attack. The first Grey ship to reach one of the intruding ships was the the G.S. Hatha. As he began to close in, Captain Thrill broadcast the following message to the unknown ship: "Greetings, I am Captain Thrill of the G.S. Hatha. You have entered into Grey territory without proper authorization. Please identify yourself and your intentions." Edited by Evil, Jul 19 2012, 10:11 AM.

The C.W.S. Thunder a Aegis class ship is searching for Terra when the senors officer stands up."Dikor Fetladral sir it would seem we are being approached by a ship of unknown origin." he says looking right him."I thought we already left Masri space." he says looking at the officer leaning forward."We did. These ships do not match any Masri ship outline and they are not consistent with Masri ship design." He says sitting back down. in his seat."Sir we are receiving a communication." The comms officer says turning to Dikor."What does it say ?" he says looking at him."They didn't bother sending anything to translate it sir. It's just gibberish." he says looking at the console."Well get to work translating it using a translation matrix." he says leaning back into his chair now. A few moments pass and the translation matrix has worked it's magic."Sir I have the translation." he says."Well read it out for me." he says looking out the bridge window."Greetings, I am Captain Thrill of the G.S. Hatha. You have entered into Grey territory without proper authorization. Please identify yourself and your intentions." he says looking unsure."Okay prepare to translate what I am about to say into there language and then send it." he says standing up from his seat and putting his hands behind his back."I am Star Captain Dikor Fetladral Of the C.W.S. Thunder a Clan Wolf ship. We search for our lost home of Terra." he says looking to the communications officer who nods and sends the message through. "Now pull up a image of what we seek from the archives and send it to them so they know what we seek." he says walking towards the bridge window looking at the alien vessel."Aye aye Star captain." he says pulling up the image and sending it. Captain Thrill was impressed. "Looks like they have already learned our language," he remarked. "That will certainly make things easier." He stood and started pacing behind his chair. "Terra... Terra... I don't think I've ever heard of a planet by that name. Anything in the database?" "Still searching Cap... ahhh it just completed. No planets, systems, or civilizations with that name. I'll try Clan Wolf." "No. I'm confident that we've never encountered a civilization this advanced that goes by that name. Try inputting the image that they provided. Perhaps we know that planet by a different name." It wasn't long before the Captain's hunch was proven correct. "Captain, I've found a match. We know the planet as Earth. Its dominant species is humans. And by the look of things, we've had an extensive history with them." Captain Thrill's eyes widened. The following message was broadcast to the C.W.S. Thunder: "In response to your last communication, I'm sorry to say that we've never heard of a planet that goes by that name. Nor have we found any planets in our database that have a similar description to the image you provided. I can say with certainty that Terra does not lie within our dominion. Still, I'd like to be absolutely sure that we have never encountered this planet. Do you know if Terra is known by any other names?" |

Dikor Fetladral walks over to the forward facing bridge window looking at the Alien vessel. The Communications console beeps receiving the Aliens message."Star Captain They have sent us a message in response." The communications officer says turning towards Dikor. Dikor turns away from the window looking at the officer."Well translate the message then." He says now turning away from the officer to continue looking out the window."Aye aye" The Communications officer puts the message through the translator and then turns to the captain yet again."The message says."In response to your last communication, I'm sorry to say that we've never heard of a planet that goes by that name. Nor have we found any planets in our database that have a similar description to the image you provided. I can say with certainty that Terra does not lie within our dominion. Still, I'd like to be absolutely sure that we have never encountered this planet. Do you know if Terra is known by any other names?" message ends sir" he says looking a little disappointed."Okay prepare to send a response." Dikor says not turning away from the window."Aye aye sir. What would you like the message to say ?" "It is unfortunate that Terra does not lay within your space. Our search for our lost home shall continue then. To answer your question yes we know Terra by one other name. The other name we know Terra by is not as well mentioned in our archives but it is there the other name is Earth." He says now turning away from the window and walking over to the captains seat and siting down. The message is then put through. |

The crew of the G.S. Hatha listened to the incoming message in silence. After it finished, Captain Thrill sat down and began to ponder how to respond. After a moment, he addressed his crew: "Well, I'm still not sure what to make of our visitors. If Earth is their home as they claim, that would likely make them humans or descendents of humans. But there is always the possibility that they are just invaders that wish to plunder Earth of its valuable resources. And we certainly wouldn't want to help facilitate that. So, I think it is best that we learn a bit more about Clan Wolf and their intentions before revealing too much." The following message is sent to the C.W.S. Thunder: "Captain, it seems that you may be in luck after all. We have found that a planet called Earth is mentioned briefly in some of our records. However, we do not have full access to the information gathered about this planet since it lies outside of our realm and thus my responsibilities. I am requesting more information from our home base and should receive it shortly. In the mean time, I am curious about how your people got separated from their home." Meanwhile, the last of the Grey ships are catching up to the other Clan Wolf ships that are traveling through the territory. For now, they have been instructed to follow the ships at a safe distance and avoid contact. |

The Communications officer looks over to the captain."Star Captain Dikor Fetladral sir the aliens have sent a message in reply." Dikor Fetladral turns towards the officer no longer facing the window."Well spit it out. What does it say ?" He asks and the Communications officer then reads out the message."Are you sure ?" he asks with surprise on his face."I am sure sir." Dikor Fetladral thinks for a moment. He should call in Oleg Conners to handle this situation but isnt sure how the Aliens would react to the C.W.S. Dire Wolf approaching. He decides to continue on his own. Dikor Fetladral takes a step towards the communications officer."Prepare to type down what I say then send it." he says and the communications officer nods."We are not one hundred percent sure how we came to be separated from our home world. We have very little information from before the Star League. The best we can gather is that Colonization ships where sent from Terra before the time one could easily communicate within light years and that what ever communication equipment they had was lost. That is the best we can gather." he says and the communications officer sends it. |
