Irish Citizens - "Richest in World"

March 19, 2011

DUBLIN, Leinster: A recent international report has confirmed that the Irish citizen, on average, is the most well-off in the world yesterday, solidifying public confidence in the provincial restructuring of the Irish state. Michael Adair, the first Prime Minister of the Confederacy, wasted no time in holding a press conference celebrating the fact, and in releasing statistics from the Ministry of Finance to paint a more detailed picture. Leinster is the poorest province in the Confederacy, though Dublin proper is the wealthiest city in the country, while Ulster leads in average provincial wealth, concentrated in the Belfast metropolitan area.

Fine Gael has credited the recovery from one of the deepest economic crisis in Irish history to the hands-off approach of the national government, allowing provincial governments to make economic decisions on a more tailored level to the specific needs of their area. Munster is on the fastest growing regions in the country, according to the government report, largely due to the financial reforms undergone by the provincial government, making it one of the most attractive areas to do business in Europe.

Support for the coalition government led by Michael Adair since 2010 has increased nationwide, and as district and municipal elections loom near, analysts predict major gains for Fine Gael in districts held by opposition parties.
